  • I like to have duct tape with me at all times. I have used it in a variety of ways such as for gear repairs, car repairs, and for medical purposes as well. So how do I do it? Check out the video and you will see.

For many years my father used duct tape to bind up splits and cuts in his fingers. I have found another easy way to carry it and the Gorilla Tape you had displayed there as well, is to wrap several feet of it around an old credit card, gift card, or other wallet-sized card. You can use the full width of the roll, it stores flat, if you prefer to carry something flat in a pocket, Altoids tin or EDC kit and it is pretty easy to deploy from that arrangement.

True. And if you don't have an old card, you can cut a piece from one of those plastic containers that salad comes in from the grocery store.

Dude, you are overdoing it. I took a piece of 550, folded it in half, tied it, and then rolled the duct-tape around it - instant tape keychain, and I bet it holds more than on a chapstick, and no cutting/ripping , no adjusting, no nothing. ;)

I keep a foot of gaffer's tape on my mini Bic lighter. While floating the ruver, one of my friends had a little hole in her innertube. I said, "Here, I have some tape." Everyone was amazed and I saved the day.

I use a bic pen round stic casing and wrap around it then cut the pen off, I can usually get two separate mini rolls for each pen, Make it as thick as you want. It just takes a little time and patience to wrap it around straight.

I put my pen in the chuck of my cordless drill and slowly run the drill. I feel it allows for a tighter more uniform wrap. I love the Chapstick idea though!

If you just roll the duct tape up really tight, you can store it inside the chapstick container too. That way the full width will fit.

Digging the intro so dynamic :D
Great tip. The tape can go with pretty much anything. Pencils, pens, cards, paracord, bungee/shock cables, super glue and hot glue stick are also very good options too.
i had use it for first aid for out the blue kind of large , bleeding pretty bad cut on a finger once.
    Ty for sharing. C.R.

I like carrying my duct tape around the lighter actually. I also read that itstactical and Art of Manliness carries their duct tape on the wire that can attach it to the keys. It may vary upon people about this, but you can also carry duct tape inside the chapstick container. From the channel MeZillch uses empty ink from an pen to roll duct tape. You can also wrap duct tape with an golf tape, other people may prefer using zebra f701 stainless pen to make a grip in wrapping duct tape around the handle area. I also carry duct tape wrapped around the plastic q-tip. I hope this helps.

good stuff...we like to use old pen tubes..cut them to size...and roll the ducttape over...and then send a lanyard in through the hole for a caribeaner.

wrapping it around a bit works well and would save the trimming process if you edc a lighter.

you could even use an old chapstick which has run out and roll duc tape round that, which will give u the full width of the duct tape if u wish, then with your other chapstick u can do the same but have it at a shorter width thereby you have two or however many widths u want

Great vid's!!! If the Chapstick is empty, you can use the empty container to store some dryer lint and a feral rod. Keep up the good videos!!!

Where is the normal intro? This one is cool but I like the old one. Also thanks for the Life Hack I just did this to my Burt's Bees Lip balm and I think I got around 3 feet of duct tape. Thanks.

Another decent way to carry duct tape on your person is to wrap it around waxed paper. That way it would be able to be carried in your wallet or EDC bag.
