In this video we will be fitting/installing the BMS JB+ unit which should add around 40 wheel horsepower to the vehicle by upping the turbo PSI.
This 540i is my car and the project car for this channel, lots planned for it...this is just the start so stay tuned

Great mate. Did you turn the dial to increased the boost? or was that the stock settings. I have the 45e X5, so want to do the JB+ and downpipe. So just wanted your feedback
Thank you mate. You know I never did turn to max, think it was on 80% I believe. Will be fine though. The engine can handle huge power. Cheers 🍻
@@rev-viewsauto Well done, yes, the B58 is a beast and BMW has strong supporting parts for mods like these for the engine to hold up. I may pump it an additional 2psi over the 3 psi that the device comes with and add the downpipe and intake and leave it there. I make 390HP stock, so these additions can give me possibley another 80HP with turning uo the device by another 2 psi for a total of 5psi
@RTR_RRoomes73 yeah that HP with mods is just perfect for the road. If you get time I did a short video of my car now. 470hp stage 2, MHD. XHP stage 3, catless downpipe. She moves. Latest video. Now pretty much all the car I ever wanted.

Yeah I did and I love this car. I have actually done a fair bit more to it now. I'll be getting more videos out, but it's on around 470HP now :)
I do miss the MPG of the 520d lol. But the trade off is worth it.

What setting do you have it at? Max? I've read about some problems people have had on Max, so that's why I ask. I have a JB+ arriving soon for my 2018 BMW 540i M Sport X.
Hi Dan, I ran it on 80% of max. Didn't feel like turning it the full way round. Definitely feel the difference.

@rev-viewsauto7109 Thanks much. Is that the stock setting it comes at, or is that higher?
@rev-viewsauto7109 I'm running mine at the preset 3 position, which by my calculations means it's at 60%. 4 would be 80%. I may turn mine up to 4. Hopefully the car still shifts normal at 80%.
@danm203 Gearbox will be fine, it can handle much higher power. So looking back at it, I think it will have been position 4 then. I still have a little left to turn it up too but was happy with the result I got.
Hello. If you install jb+ without waiting dwell, locking the door…what could happen?
@ricelgarcia1809 I don't think there would be any issues, it's more a case of just playing it safe and letting the ECU power down. Hope that helps. If you want to see what 470hp looks like check out my latest video. Stage 2 tune plus more. Cheers 🍻
@@rev-viewsauto I got gaskets leaking with white smoke in/out of my tail pipes. Within 1-2 days of installing my JB+. At first it was great. I feel more pulls. Until when it happened.
@ricelgarcia1809 hmmm, that will have been an existing engine problem waiting to happen. These engines have a tolerance for much higher HP.

@ricelgarcia1809 all I can recommend it following the instructions that came with the unit.

It's a superb low cost way of increasing power. I changed to an MHD flash setup, stage 2 with downpipe. See latest videos.
But definitely recommend this as a starting point for modding.

Its almost 1% downhill… so its realistically, 4.3 …. Or so
I don't think so, but maybe....
It still increases the power over stock and decreases the 0-60.
I'm at 3.8 now with MHD. 💪
