@@rev-viewsauto I got gaskets leaking with white smoke in/out of my tail pipes. Within 1-2 days of installing my JB+. At first it was great. I feel more pulls. Until when it happened.

@ricelgarcia1809 hmmm, that will have been an existing engine problem waiting to happen. These engines have a tolerance for much higher HP.

That's very true. The new one just isn't as nice. So glad I got my 540i in the end. Loaded with all the packs as well. And you know what, I'll probably get the 2023 M5 next. Not a fan of the new 5 series.

@@rev-viewsauto It’s sad, a new model should be progress from the last model, if you sold the old model next to the new hardly anyone would choose the g60-g61, and looking at the other BMW models it’s clear that BMW have totally lost it!

You're absolutely right in my opinion. Many think this was the pinnacle of thr 5 series. Best mix of quality and technology. Most new BMWs now all use the same dash and the interiors all feels the same. A real shame. But good to know these gems will still be around for many years to come. I bought a 2017 540i xdrive after this far. Incredible! Done some videos on that too. Cheers 🍻

I think you will get a small performance increase yes. But mainly it saves the way for other mods. But it does make the engine and induction sound much better. Watch my latest video! Cheers

Experts indicate that this type of open system draws hot air towards the turbo and therefore lowers performance.

@@rev-viewsauto over 100 meters it can be an illusion but on a circuit there could be slower restart phases because the engine would be very hot. This is mechanical physics.

It's a superb low cost way of increasing power. I changed to an MHD flash setup, stage 2 with downpipe. See latest videos. But definitely recommend this as a starting point for modding. Cheers 🍻

But using Eco Pro and the coasting feature on longer journeys will definitely make a difference. I know the 520d can get at least 820 miles from a full tank, I've done it. If you like the car then it's a no brainer to keep and hold. Full service history? Or if you fancy a different spec/extras then shop around. Main mistake I made...well kind of, was buying a 520d when what I really wanted was the 540i. So it cost me more in the end to change.

@@rev-viewsauto Summer 2020 all 4 brake discs changed under warranty at 18000 kms Rear brake discs changed again at 70000 kms TPMS issue once No other problems Serviced regularly at BMW I love the car and meets all my requirements. We are a couple with no kids so plenty of room, especially for the cricket kit! 530i with 250 bhp is plenty power I am just afraid of any major issues now that car is over 5 years old

@FABM27 mate, sounds like a great one. Keep it serviced and it will go forever. Its the diesels that start having issues. In a year from now. Prices will trickle down a bit. So if you still have the urge to change you may see more bargains. All being good...my eyes are on the 2023 M5...in 2 years time.

⁠@@rev-viewsauto so the 2023 M5 will still be the G30 gen? That is still going to be quite pricy! Unimaginable in DK because it would still be well over £120k. I am surprised you want more than the 540d because that is a stonking motor. But the M5 is the ultimate 5 series and luxury sedan. I also like the AudiS8 but a BMW guy at ❤

@FABM27 Yeah, more of a dream car. But if I can make it a reality then awesome. I've got my 540i to 470hp now. Check out the newest video. Love those Audis as well. 100% will be getting one last fast car before then become a thing of the past.

Just 98 Octane currently. Will look into JB4 and flex fuel, custom tune in the future.

Hello mate. Thanks for watching. Stage 2 with DP genuinely transforms the car in couple of ways. If you go full decat the engine and turbo spool sound it's just phenomenal 👌 plus the change in power and acceleration is great. Basically M3/M4 lite. But you've seen the 0-60 to backup the speed. For me it's just the perfect all-rounder. Part business and family and when I want she gets down. If you haven't already, get a good intake for stage 2 as it will actually help. BMS is perfect. @@rev-viewsauto Well done, yes, the B58 is a beast and BMW has strong supporting parts for mods like these for the engine to hold up. I may pump it an additional 2psi over the 3 psi that the device comes with and add the downpipe and intake and leave it there. I make 390HP stock, so these additions can give me possibley another 80HP with turning uo the device by another 2 psi for a total of 5psi

@RTR_RRoomes73 yeah that HP with mods is just perfect for the road. If you get time I did a short video of my car now. 470hp stage 2, MHD. XHP stage 3, catless downpipe. She moves. Latest video. Now pretty much all the car I ever wanted.

Hey Anvit. XHP is a fully transmission remap tool. You can customise pretty much everything. It's incredible. Main features are increased clamping pressure and faster shift times. Benefits being smoother and much better experience plus it results in increased performance. 100% would recommend especially if you are running MHD or will be as they literally work together (option for xhp tune) Hope that helps Cheers 🍻

@catalin.c only in sport plus mainly. Due to work I use Eco Pro mode and comfort a fair bit as well. So Sport Plus is just for me having fun. You done any more upgrades on yours?

Well... car now runs 3.8 zero to sixty with stage 2 tune. Heard about the heat soak, but IAT stats all monitored and its running great. No disappointment here pal. Car is fast and sounds incredible. Cheers 🍻

How about closed carbon fiber intake from armaspeed or eventuri?

I don't think so, but maybe.... It still increases the power over stock and decreases the 0-60. I'm at 3.8 now with MHD. 💪

Morning mate. Thank you, I appreciate that. That's right, East Sussex, around Uckfield way. Great choice whichever you go for, I do miss the boot of the G31, but that's all. The saloon is still great, just make sure you get one where the rear seats can be folded down, as I don't think they all do. I bought this car for just under £25k, but at the time of making the video some 8 months later you could get similar dpec cars for £20k. However, the world then went crazy and prices went theiugh the roof if you remember. I actually traded this very car in for the same value I paid for it against a 540i :) Cheers 🍻

Tell me, I’m looking at a ‘53 plate 530d Luxury…am I right in saying that they are just SE seats with lumbar support? They’re not comfort seats for sure. I’ve seen another SE (not luxury) with lumbar support so they’re the same seats right?

@olip61 Yeah the 540i is awesome. I did pay a bit towards it but the trade in was too good to pass up. 53 plate? Do you have a link? I think what you are saying is right about the seats. Comfort pack will give you the full electric pack and lumbar.

@rev-viewsauto7109 I'm running mine at the preset 3 position, which by my calculations means it's at 60%. 4 would be 80%. I may turn mine up to 4. Hopefully the car still shifts normal at 80%.

@danm203 Gearbox will be fine, it can handle much higher power. So looking back at it, I think it will have been position 4 then. I still have a little left to turn it up too but was happy with the result I got.
