I remember that night very well. Effe had a dream night and was playing on his highest level, he outshadowed Beckham by a million to one, Beckham sure was furiuous. Regardless if it was a pass over only 2 meters, a long distance pass, a corner, a free kick. Effe did everything spot on that night.

Im a Liverpool fan but i still remember these nights the passion the excitement even when it wasnt your team playing. All day at school we spoke about this match. Always thot when i was younger football wud just get better but it hasnt man. Watching back these clips its unreal the passion from both players the fact they all men n becks was the one known has a pretty boy in those days yet he wud wipe the floor with most youngsters today says a lot. people need to understand the reason Effenberg didn't want to give Beckham the hand was because of the dirty tackles he made, he always came 1-2 seconds too late in that game. Effenberg actually said that he respected Roy Keane a lot because he was tough but fair in his tackles and always came from the front where Beckham on the other hand always came from behind, it's the reason he got pissed at him.
