Everybody talks about these Utd stars but I still think Ji Sung Park was an undeniably awesome player. He scored some goals which were really extraordinary and not to forget his man marking skills with precision passing near the box. Could we ever get these golden days back?

He was a Korean Swiss Army Man. He could mark, press, run the length of the pitch, tackle, pass, score, and all without running out of breath. Three-lung Park played for the badge and is a club legend.

This is because Sir Ferguson's football, which maximizes each player's individuality and creates a harmonious team, was so attractive. It's been 10 years since he left Manchester United, but I still haven't seen a team that beats Ferguson's Manchester United. Van Der Sar won us titles he was such a signing at 34 when we got him I think and this guy did miracles for us at the back he made like 6 crazy saves in this game alone

Sir Alex is really a master of the game, united were going down hill after ronaldo and tevez left, most world class players at the club were getting fairly old, others were average or not the quality players you expected at a club like united, never understood why united never went for all the world class talents in the world at that time

i remember ferguson came to the serie a match before this game to scope out milan...and ronaldinho was absolutely balling in that game and was on it. ferguson had that look in his face like shit this guy still a big threat. he put 2 to 3 players on ronaldinho to try and keep him quiet this match but if you see the uncut highlights ronaldinho played beastly. unfortunately milan were already going down by this point and the support wasnt there from other players and rooney was probably having his best season .

Wayne was in the form of his life during this period. I remember he had scored 6 or 7 consecutive headed goals. United’s season ended a month later when Rooney got injured vs Bayern and United got knocked out. Few days later Chelsea beat United at OT and that was it in the PL as well. Highly competitive season for United though.
He'd only scored something like 8 headers in his whole career before then, and must have doubled that number on crosses from Antonio Valencia alone that season! :D
I remember it took him a while to settle into that lone striker role early in the season, but once he got used to it he was an absolute beast! It's bizarre that he came back from the injury that ended the season playing like garbage, before reinventing himself as a number 10 and playing almost as great in a completely different way in 2011. If only he'd had a bit more discipline(and no drinking problem) he could have been one of the greatest.

Looking forward to the current squad competing properly again; it seems within our grasp. If I had one shirt it would be Park, but I swear Rooney is close. :) Watching this again reminds me of how I as a fan took so many superb achievements for granted. There's a few lessons there for us today.
