By the grace of Ahura Mazda...these guys are INCREDIBLE! They are fighting with one hand tied behind their back and mangle nearly everything. Even Monaspa lose to these fiends!
Elite Immortal is arguably one of the best units in the game. They are better version of Plumed Archer with higher base attack, slightly faster speed, cheaper cost, and higher HP but less pierce armor. Those are combined with their incredibly fast reload time and ability to switch between melee and ranged mode depending on situation Being melee and ranged unit also discovers their weaknesses like Rathas as they require tons of upgrades to fully upgrade (infantry attack & armor upgrades, archer attack upgrades, squires, arson, thumb ring, ballistics, chemistry, Reed Arrows and Karda. On top of that, they also have infantry and archer armor which makes them more vulnerable against specific units. They also can't be played in ladder Their late game army composition is amazing as they have good halberdiers and fully upgraded hussars (only do Italians and Magyars have both fully upgraded archers and hussars, but they have worse spearman line)
Honestly, Achaemenids are the strongest of the three new civs, and it's not even close. Immortals are incredible, and I think you even skipped over their strongest element which is that they are archers which can wreck buildings. Just research arson and they can kill an army, then switch to melee mode to break apart buildings, then switch back to kill any new units that pop up. They are a one-unit ranged army.
@@tyranitararmaldo I merely didn't skip, I mentioned they have an ability to switch between ranged and melee mode according to the situation They surely have best/strongest late game composition in the late game among other two civs. But their early to mid game is far weaker than those since Achaemenids eco bonus kicks in feudal age or after making TCs. You also have to pay and research it (using resources and delay vill production due to research time) while Spartans and Athenians already have usefull bonuses in early age and they don't have to pay it Keep in mind that TCs also requires 275w & 100s each with slow constructing time. In comparison, Georgians Churches cost 200 wood only & can be spammed more easily
Immortals have higher HP, -1 pierce armor and much faster firing rate than Plumed Archers. Plumed Archers seem losing against Immortals according to the stats, but Immortals have both infantry and archer armor while Plumed Archers have attack bonus against infantry. That's why Immortals lost against them
I would say, they 're cheap support infantry/archers, that can be buffed depending on the unique tech choices. Without the attack speed upgrade they feel weaker than normal archers otherwise. The rattan archer is way more anti archer, then them. They are just dirt cheap in comparison
Mangudai: I have the fastest ranged attack
Inmortal: You had it 2:14

Mazda rx7
You should do equal amount ranged, and melee immortals.
Plumed Archer 2.0, let's goooo
Cheaper and stronger, also trained fast
Only downside is the infantry+archer armor class
I was wrong though, Plumes actually defeated Immortals
@@Shiina_LORD-Scarlet.sLifeGuard yeah only because Immortal has infantry type armor
They are very good archer and cheap which can go melee when needed….🎉🎉
Chu ko nu needs a buff, they're just smoke

@@tyranitararmaldo but they are weak until late castle due to their only eco bonus lock behind a tc tech

In the Vs with the Plumed archer, they only win because the immortals Don't have the last armor upgrade.

2:29 perisan and persian?
so these guys are basically like Rattan Archers ? heavily armored foot archers

They can switch to melee which covers their weakness, still they are not that good against cav or heavy pierce melee
