    Great looking Band Saw Box Bruce. The Walnut looks fantastic and has a perfect finish for it. If you were to turn in 90 degrees and set it on the back it looked so much like a segmented oval box I made my wife many years ago.
    Great work and entry to the challenge!
    Take care buddy,

    Fantastic Bruce. It's almost a shame that the drawer has to be inside the box! Love the stripe pattern. Wonder if it would be (fractionally) more striking if the stripes went vertically through the front? But gorgeous project! All the best. Ray

      Hi Ray, thank you very much and that’s a great idea!! 👍🏻👍🏻Stripes vertical and slightly off center! That would look great! You are the man!!

    What grit papers do you use? What grit on sander.. can ya use a belt sander?

    • @JordanWoodwerx
      @JordanWoodwerx  10 місяців тому +1

      I eased 100-400 grit on the faces of everything and on the spindle sander is usually 120 grit. Yes, you can use a belt sander. Thanks for checking it out!👍🏻👍🏻

    Beautiful result as always Bruce! What are the specs on the blade used?

    • @JordanWoodwerx
      @JordanWoodwerx  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Jason really appreciate that! The blade is a .25 x 6 TPI. A 3/16” blade would probably be better I think. The 1/4” was the smallest blade in the arsenal. Really cool and easy project, thanks again Jason!👍🏻👍🏻

    How tall and wide were the boards u glued in the start

    • @JordanWoodwerx
      @JordanWoodwerx  10 місяців тому

      Hi Patrick, the wood was roughly 4” tall and the walnut was roughly an inch and the lighter wood was roughly 5/8” thick. Of If I remember right the complete blank was around 4x4x6.

    Hi Bruce, That is stunning!!!! Brilliant work brother. I only have to put the finish on mine now which will be tomorrow. From what I've seen so far mine is at the bottom of the leader board.
    Fantastic entry into the challenge Bruce and thanks for putting such an effort into it.

    • @JordanWoodwerx
      @JordanWoodwerx  3 роки тому +1

      lol, thank you John, I appreciate that! Pro tip, put small felt tabs on the inside of the box to keep the drawer centered and you can shave them down with a razor blade if need be! I can’t claim that pro tip, 😂 thanks again John!
