I have built a good number if these boxes, so I am in a good position to say that you have done a very nice job. Beautiful box! Thanks!
Thank you Jerry, that means alot!! Glad you liked it!👍🏻👍🏻
..."And... Nobody Likes a Sloppy Box" 🤣🤣🤣 That Came Out Awesome Brother!
Steve C 😊 👋
😂😂😀 that’s right! Thank you Steve!!
Great looking Band Saw Box Bruce. The Walnut looks fantastic and has a perfect finish for it. If you were to turn in 90 degrees and set it on the back it looked so much like a segmented oval box I made my wife many years ago.
Great work and entry to the challenge!
Take care buddy,
Gary
Thank you Gary! I really enjoyed making this. I’ve always wanted to try and when Huw announced the bandsaw box challenge I got all excited😂😂 I need to make more now! Thanks again Gary, appreciate ya!!
Good job very nice project 👍
Thank you Steve ! This was a fun little project, I need to make more now!👍🏻👍🏻
Fantastic Bruce. It's almost a shame that the drawer has to be inside the box! Love the stripe pattern. Wonder if it would be (fractionally) more striking if the stripes went vertically through the front? But gorgeous project! All the best. Ray
Hi Ray, thank you very much and that’s a great idea!! 👍🏻👍🏻Stripes vertical and slightly off center! That would look great! You are the man!!
Brilliant work. Just signed up for your Chanel
Thanks Bruce, so appreciated for the sub!!👍🏻👍🏻
What grit papers do you use? What grit on sander.. can ya use a belt sander?
I eased 100-400 grit on the faces of everything and on the spindle sander is usually 120 grit. Yes, you can use a belt sander. Thanks for checking it out!👍🏻👍🏻
That looks really good Bruce! 1st time my butt🤣
😂😂 yeah first one! Thanks Luie!👍🏻👍🏻
Man, it looks so easy to do in Your hands👌The box really shocked me. Everything was planned as well - from this side of camera of course😉 I love it 💪
I think You could to make easly a more complex design 😎
Stay safe my friend 👍
Rav
Hi Rav, thank you so much my friend! I watched quite a few UA-cam videos to figure how to do it! 😂😂 I want to make some more of these and yes, more complex!👍🏻👍🏻
@@JordanWoodwerx Oh yeah 💪😀 🍻
Beautiful result as always Bruce! What are the specs on the blade used?
Thanks Jason really appreciate that! The blade is a .25 x 6 TPI. A 3/16” blade would probably be better I think. The 1/4” was the smallest blade in the arsenal. Really cool and easy project, thanks again Jason!👍🏻👍🏻
How tall and wide were the boards u glued in the start
Hi Patrick, the wood was roughly 4” tall and the walnut was roughly an inch and the lighter wood was roughly 5/8” thick. Of If I remember right the complete blank was around 4x4x6.
Awesome video, brother!!!! Keep up doing your amazing work!!!
Thank you Daniel! Great challenges my friend!👍🏻👍🏻
That came out really nice and enjoyed the video. Never seen that process on a box before looks like a lot of work. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Although sloppy boxes mean good boxes lots of use……
Thank you brother!!👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Bruce, That is stunning!!!! Brilliant work brother. I only have to put the finish on mine now which will be tomorrow. From what I've seen so far mine is at the bottom of the leader board.
Fantastic entry into the challenge Bruce and thanks for putting such an effort into it.
Take care my friend.
Cheers, Huw
Thanks Huw! Thanks for the awesome challenge project! This was a lot of fun and I should have been making these a long time ago, lol! Yours Will be amazing I’m sure…great challenge!! Take care Huw!
Lovely box Bruce, the two wood make a nice contrast and they finished very well.........well done and thanks!
Cheers Al
Hi Al, thank you very much! Thank you for tuning in!!👍🏻👍🏻
Great work Bruce.
Think I may have to call my box the sloppy box as my lines are nowhere near as clean as yours.
lol, thank you John, I appreciate that! Pro tip, put small felt tabs on the inside of the box to keep the drawer centered and you can shave them down with a razor blade if need be! I can’t claim that pro tip, 😂 thanks again John!
@@JordanWoodwerx that is a good tip.
From the thumbnail it looks great! I am still trying. 2 failures, I may not make this one.
Of course you will Chris, I have every faith in you.
😲😲😲😲
Thanks Chris! Those aren’t failures, you just figured out how not to do it! Can’t wait to see how you do! (Which will be amazing)!
Brilliant job on the first bandsaw box Bruce , love that walnut mate 👍
Hi Bram, thank you buddy! I’ve been on a walnut kick as you’ll see, I love it too! These are fun to make!

Excellent piece Bruce! Really like the wood pairing and styling, great work!
Thanks Todd appreciate that! That's my favorite wood combo! (Walnut and a lighter species).
"This is the back, 'cause it says... 'the back'." 🤣 😅 🤣
Awesome job! Nice drawer pull, I kinda feel like mine sucks now. 😕
😂😂😂thank you Tim appreciate you brother! Your box came out awesome man!👍🏻👍🏻
@@JordanWoodwerx I agree with Bruce Tim, yours is fantastic. Wait till you see mine tomorrow, just put first coat of finish on mine, you will then realise how good yours is.
Great box Bruce! Gotta say I’m skeptical about how to approach this one so I was happy to see you tackle this!

Love the video. Kept it simple, not too much talk. Good sound and video. Didn’t waste lot of time showing how to cut or sand. Showed just the right amount to time on each. Thank you.
Hi Norman, thank you very much, I appreciate that. Thanks for checking it out! 👍🏻👍🏻
