    Trumpet Physics Video: • trumpet_physics_1.mov
In this video, Monica Benson describes how she came to play trumpet after a serious injury to her face. She talks about her practice routine immediately after her injury that allowed her to eventually make a full comeback to trumpet.
If you've had an injury that prevented you from playing trumpet, don't worry. Monica gives some solid advice to help you start playing the trumpet again as soon as possible.
This is me experimenting with a "trumpet podcast" if you will. I have others on the channel but let me know if you like this sort of thing and if I should create more for you.

This is the epitome of a comeback. The way she approached relearning trumpet can be a great start for anyone coming back or learning for the first time.

I believe that part above the teeth she fractured it called the Palate (I can be wrong) I had a sever fractured on my palate and teeth as well I used to play French horn in meddle school after the fracture and now on my 40s recently picked up the trumpet it’s a little uncomfortable but my main concerned is that my air stream feels to be stronger on the side of my mouth and indeed I have more grip and feel I can make a better sound is there anything you can advise? Thank you 🙏

Great story , great recovery......I had a similar expierience too , I slipped getting out of bed over bed linen and fell forward and catching myself but my top lip bumped the floor and became swollen . I recovered to play after a week but I missed the annual Skyway jazz fesitval , that was held the morning I slipped!

Good morning Mr. Davis, I live in Italy and it is very difficult to find Pickett mouthpieces. I don't have a chance to try them. I would like to ask you if you can tell me the exact model you are using. I really like the sound. Thank you very much.
