Very nice playing! I played a 1975 version of this exact same trumpet and still have it today. Last year I bought a Schilke B6 and it has absolutely nothing over the Getzen. Getzen is an extremely underrated brand. It doesn't hold second fiddle to anyone.
Still playing mine in the rotation: Getzen Eterna Doc Severinsen 900S 🎺 Serial: SK15250 Purchased: 6/26/1973 $410 ($426.40 w/ tax) Mel Bay Music Center, Kirkwood MO
Those are wonderful horns. My friend in middle school was gifted one by his dad. Great playing and sounding horn. I wonder how the newer Getzen equivalents compare?
I had a Severinsen Getzen 900s-they were great horns but were put together with spit and chewing gum...braces were always falling off and other parts...I literally wore a hole in the valve casing of one...but they had great valves due to being nickel plated...Doc endorsed the 900s from 1963-1979. Somewhere along the line, I don't know the year, he started having Bach 37 bells soldered on his Getzen horns...sssssshhh...you didn't hear it from me heh-heh
Many jazz ensemble guys have played and still play a Bach. I never really understood it. But they can get a bright sound. It's more about the mouthpiece and also your personal embouchure.

My high school 1975 graduation present, I still have it!
Sounding good! The Eterna Severinsen is a great horn.
Beautiful tone and some nice phrasing.

My dad used to play this song for me when we were on the ark.
There were two of them, right?
big bore wealth of sound without loss of brilliance. very nice.
It's not a big bore, it's a standard sized medium large. 460.
Best horn I ever owned...by orders of magnitude....
Great sound! Play a Bach Strad myself! Wish the sound was brighter in Jazz bands!

Had a strad for years until I had Dominic Calicchio craft me one of his in 1977. Simply sublime.
I'm guessing made in the 20s! Is it a True Tone?
