The school exams analogy is a bit shaky, I like the analogy with bus tickets better. You have a bus ticket and for 1h, you need to be able to show it as proof that you are legit on that bus, then when you're out of the bus, that ticket becomes completely useless. Imagine having to carry every bus ticket you ever had with you everywhere you go

Better than the textbook explanation. Curious on the difference in hashing, like is it a diff algorithm because of the long length of the blob or is there an additional process that necessitates a different hashing method?
