As an introvert, I love boring. I can spend hours alone in nature.
I am an 80 year old man and live alone. I am a 2 time loser in the marriage game and, most certainly, there will never a third. Not at my age. I get out as necessary to keep my home provisioned. I have a truly excellent library of books that I love to read, most more than once over time. If I don't interface with shop keepers I would never need to talk to a soul. That would be most satisfactory in my mind. I simply don't get lonely. Lucky me.
Amen to that! Same here. I’m also an introvert and love being in nature. There’s nothing boring about that. Introverts unite! ❤❤
Hello! 🙂👍🏼
@@angrybill try to go to public library to read books with people around you
Life goal
Sometimes people see our lives as boring while we're just introverted and sensitive, and we tend to appreciate small things that they might not noticed.
Being ourselves is enough.
I get excited about the most random simple things. Lately, insects have become fascinating to me, I spent a few minutes watching a white moth at my house and I reflected on the fact that I haven't saw one in a long time.
Amen to that
People don’t understand that I don’t travel well and at 60+ I just don’t want to with all the stress it can involve. I am happy to just stay put with my dog.
So True :)
"We tend to appreciate small things that they might not notice" - exactly!! I take SO MUCH delight in things like trees, grass, etc. - and I'm so grateful that these things give me joy. How poor we'd be if we overlooked them.
Your life doesn’t seem boring at all. It seems vibrate, full of wonder and life. I’m glad you can soak in the nature around you.
Me neither. Your life seems serene and beautiful!
Anything but boring. That's why you have so many people waiting for your next video
It's important to remind yourself that what someone else finds "amazing" may also be boring to you. For me, there is nothing more boring than a party with a lot of alcohol, and there is nothing better than a quiet picnic in the forest. Thank you dear Paola ❤
Having spent much time at both alcohol laced parties and out in nature alone, I am definitely leaning your way too, enjoy.
Yessss absolutely

My mother lives in a care facility for Alzheimer’s patients. After experiencing the lives of people there I am taking every second of my life as a gift from God. Things like going on a nature walk, reading or simply drinking coffee is something they can never do again. Your life looks absolutely wonderful to me!
Something we have in common.
Same here. Both my parents had Alzheimers. I try to remember how lucky I am to be able to do whatever I want. They couldn't the last years of their lives. It was so sad.
I totally agree. My mother died of Alzheimer’s last Spring. Life is so short so we have to try enjoying every moment.
I think they can still do it,if they believe in themselves,we should not judge them...All your brain needs is healthy food, nature and exercise in order to prevent Alzheimer's
@@goldendiamon No they can’t even function to believe in themselves. Have you visited a memory care facility?
I recently read a quote by some famous person (whom I had never heard of). She said, “My hobbies are reading, gardening, & silence.” 💕
❤
This video came to me at the perfect moment. As a very contented and peaceful introvert, I am honestly never bored probably because I am a voracious reader and also have many hobbies and interests, but I do occasionally find myself fighting off feelings of guilt because I shy away from many of the situations that are prized in our very extroverted society. I think “is there something wrong with me?” even as I know I have no intention of changing myself even if I could. Thank you for the reminder that the way I choose to live my life is every bit as valid as the extrovert who lives a much more outer directed life. Boring? No, I have a rich interior life, a small number of close friends, and thanks to your videos, I have the contentment of knowing others who share my way of living.
You're not alone... it's strange how guilt tries to steal away our blessings.. 🌺 🌻
Are you my twin from a different mother?....lol
you and I are so much alike!
Oh my gosh you described me to a “T”!! I enjoy people in small doses, but enjoy my small home life too much to change. Love to read too.
Same here 😊
Through all the craziness that's happening in the world . And on the internet as a whole. Am so thankful that there's a channel like cottage fairy . To take us away and back into the simplicity of life .
I love a quiet life. I'm amazed at how often people refer to "boredom" these days. I don't believe I have been "bored" a day in my life!
Hi Paola, thank you for sharing your “boring” life because to me it’s not and knowing that there are more people that feel like myself is comforting. Your videos help me heal and relax in a world that feels like it’s constantly moving faster than I can keep up with. You are truly an inspiration for accepting myself as a “slower” or “boring” person. Thank you and hope you have a good and peaceful week.😊❤
I think there is absolutely nothing boring about your life. When I need to regroup and calm myself, your site is the best medicine.
Lol when I was in my 20's I didn't enjoy parties or drinking, so I was perceived as boring, I spent those years learning about anything I felt curious about. As a result, in my 30's I'm a person with wide knowledge that keeps learning, I dare anyone to call me boring 😂.
I was the same way, and I still am. ❤ 🙂👍
@@jimgilbert9984 a kindred spirit 😊
😂😊 A rich inner world, love of learning or nature is hardly boring. There is longevity in that.
@@Jaze09
You sound like me.
I found everything so fascinating in my junior college that I ended up spending 4 years there instead of just the required 2 years. I took almost every class in the course catalog except for business and nurse classes. In fact, at one point, my advisor didn't know what to advise me to take anymore. I left with an Associates degree despite being there for 4 years because that's all they had to offer.
I left college for a while, and returned when my junior college became a full 4 year institution. I decided to make use of all that varied knowledge I'd collected and got my Bachelors degree in Education. So I became an elementary school teacher.
And all that stuff I learned because of my insatiable curiosity was very useful.
@@Jaze09
We are very similar.
I kept switching back and forth between a major in Art and one in Science (which was probably going to physics, but I liked biology, too).
Your life is amazing don't listen to the haters.
I’m a friendly introvert married to an extrovert and momma to an adult introvert. I yearn for a little more peace in my world but I do love the energy my extrovert provides. After having filled my life with business and the nervous talk we introverts do when we are anxious, I am finally getting back to my core self. I’ve lost my mother this year and it’s taught me to stop wasting my time pretending to be what I am not. If others find me boring so be it. I’ll take my walks and live in my head. It’s so difficult to reestablish the habits of reading and quietness I used to have before life and kids happened but I’m trying.
I just moved to upstate NY after growing up in dry, hot, dusty northern California. I am enthralled and awed by the Octobers here! Boring is so far from the word I would choose to describe my simple, rich, fulfilled life, but I do hear it a lot when referring to similar lifestyles. Amazing to me, when sitting in an office and living in the city seems the boring option in my mind. Thank you for sharing, happy October.
I live in downstate New York …welcome🍁🍃🍂💛
I grew up in Massena, NY on the Canadian border not far from Lake Placid. Beautiful country in the Adirondacks!
I grew up in the Bronx. The poverty and crime made it hard to breathe. There was no nature only a brutal kind of survival. My first trip upstate might as well been to another planet. Imagine everything I ever read about alive and waiting and just there for the loving. I now live in Wisconsin. Not quite woodland which I prefer. My house is on more of a prairie setting. I find cities really hard to be in. I need quiet natural spaces to breathe. To find that earlier than my 61 years seems like such a blessing. Enjoy it thoroughly. Fall in such a setting is such a gift.
Welcome from the Fingerlakes.
Welcome to New York!
I have never understood the concept of "Boring" in fact your life is exactly what I wish my life could be.
If being mindful, attentive, and appreciative of the simple thing in life is a boring life, i also prefer a boring life. It is soothing and comforting to live this way, and inspires so much creativity. Thanks Paola.
I’m an introvert and your life looks like perfection to me. That red dress is beautiful on you. I like that you appreciate quality over quantity.
Your videos are so peaceful and serene. It looks like you live in a fairytale. The perfect introverts world where empaths can live. Your videos make me feel less alone and like there are other people just like me out there.
Your life sounds wonderful to me.
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, too. Our culture craves and celebrates overstimulation. I finally stopped trying to keep up and just allowed myself to live my quiet, "boring" life and I've never been happier and more at peace. Paola, your videos are the loveliest and I look forward to each and every one of these. This one and its message is in my top favorites of yours. Thank you for sharing with us and so glad you're feeling better! Autumn blessings to all ~
The way you capture nature, your voice, the environment you create, and everything you say is so magical. Please never stop creating this kind of content. Me transmite tanta paz, y me llena de esperanza. ❤
I am an introvert at heart. However I do travel a lot and enjoy travel. But no matter where I travel I always look forward to coming home to my fur babies, books crafts and the comfort of my home. We retired a few years ago to a small little beach town and love all of the nature and living a simple life. I think your life it just lovely.
Being an introvert in a family of extroverts, I spent most of my life developing a more "acceptable" way of myself. I was past 60 before I began to accumulate those buried parts in order to simply BE... as me! My faith & my prayer time speaking into the tender ear of a listening Savior have been my constant throughout... the stirrings from nature, Mozart, journaling, and morning sunshine greeting me consistently over decades... these have been the tangibles that have kept me attached to my true self, even in the busiest of professional seasons, & even amidst the struggles of single motherhood within that busy-ness. Over those years, I often heard myself saying that I LONGED to be bored... even if for just a day or for a string of hours! Paola, as you here, substitute "gentleness" in place of boredom... it makes so much sense to me! Thank you for the quietness in your voice & the poem of nature that you depict and share so profoundly in photographs, video, and in your watercolor creations. You are kind. And I am so grateful for that kindness.
I love your content because it’s simple and peaceful and also brings tranquility in a world filled with chaos . Thank you 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Your life may be quiet but definitely not boring. ❤
Hi how to control thoughts
Ah I see a stroopwafel. A Dutch treat I grew up with. I live in California now and left my country over 40 years ago. I can still get homesick when I see that. I don’t think your life is boring at all. I think it is full and rich in art and the beauty of nature. Much love from an old Dutch lady in California ! 🙏💕🇳🇱🌷
Not a lot can beat a warm stroopwafel. Can you buy them in America? Greetings from the Netherlands.
@@karinaa1008 yes you can but they are fresh of course. Thank you.
@@karinaa1008 sorry I meant not fresh. Though they come in a tin and they are fine. 🇳🇱🙏🇳🇱
Yvonne, you're not old - just sweet and lovely as a stroopwafel. I grew up with a Dutch family in my NJ neighborhood who were great family friends.
Groetjes vanuit Nederland 😊
You have created a beautiful, tranquil life. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit envious. I understand your life isn't perfect, and none of us gets through this life unscathed. But you inspire me to live my life aware. Aware of the beauty of nature and how healing and grounding it is. And to be kinder and gentler to myself. Thank you, Paola.
I love your videos, they are so calming and whimsical. Sending love!
Oh, your life is NOT boring!!!! You are so blessed to live the life you have......not filling it with unimportant, superficial moments, but with life fulfilling, inspiring, beautiful moments that many of us have no idea how that can be. To be surrounded with nature and all that she has to offer....how I envy you!!! Thank you for sharing it with us..... 🐿
What a blessing to be able to live so close to nature, hear the birds and breathe pure air, away from the chaos and the noise of the big cities! Enjoy life in your hidden paradise!
Good morning from the UK. I find that I am more content with my own company, nature, my garden & my pets. People give me headache, they seem so noisy these days & in need of constant entertainment, it’s almost like they can’t stand silence or their own company.
I’m fascinated with the candle you lit behind you, I’ve never seen one like that before.
I live a chaotic life full of feeding homeless people and running here and there with my 12 children and 17 grandchildren and I see absolutely nothing boring about your life... Cherish these moments for life has msny twists and turns and chaos becomes your daily entertainment♡
My heart warms at the end of each video, as Paola sends us away with her love. It is that love that keeps bringing me to this channel! I wish that more of our world felt more like Paola's world.

I think a lot of us think of our life as boring. We see another person and think wow there life is exciting. I think we need to change our mindset and think wow my life is exciting. No ones life story is the same. ❤
Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts & sweet adventures in the forest…such a delight to hear your calming voice…you are a gift…🌺💜🌺🙏🌺💜🌺
I love that you can always find something wonderful about life. Your curiosity about things will never make your life boring. .
I just wish, I could live this life too, one day. In nature. Without stress. Just living with my favourite things.
there is something so painfully beautiful about autumn in Washington. of course autumn is pretty anywhere. but to see Paola on walks in this area, is something truly special to look at. maybe it doesn't matter the season, this place is so gorgeous. 💕
Thank you, Paoloa, I received my Etsy purchase. Thank you for the beautiful (not even a little bit boring) videos of your calm and romantic life. 🥰🥰🥰
All the while growing up if we would complain about being bored my mother would say; “The thinking man is never bored.” And if we indulged in eye rolling on the rare occasion we were handed a dust rag and broom! Aww, such good memories! 😂😂😂
I too live in the mountains. I have relocated many wood rats! They look just like the one you removed. They are so cute, but much cuter when they are not getting into the engine of my truck or the storage shed. They have stolen tools, pens, wooden shimes, and the list goes on a d on!
I respect and admire you so much Paola. You make me feel good with loving my space and solitude ♥ Thank you!
Many years ago a friend asked me, “What do you do for excitement?”. I told her that I avoid it as much as possible.😊
Paola, you have such a rich and full life! I know it wasn't always that way for you, which makes achieving it all the more precious. This week's video has caused me to contemplate "activity"... in the context of leading an "active" life, as opposed to a "boring" one. In this day and age, physical fitness is encouraged so strongly for one's health that it becomes an obsession for some. We must keep in mind that mental activity is just as important as physical activity. In our society, being physically active (ie: "sporty") is so often valued more than being mentally active (ie: introverted, bookish). Hopefully, we can each strive for a mixture of the two that best suits our own mental and physical health. 🙂
Lovely space... enjoy, and thank you so much for sharing your Life with the 🌎 ... ❤☕🌮 sarrah, Jerusalem
"planning is important, but being is more so." - amen! thank you for this, from another "boring" girl 🖤
I am happy in my introverted skin. I love being by myself.
I love your videos! The content is very interesting, calming, and creatively inspiring. Keep on being YOU! 😊💞🌻 Happy Autumn! 🍁🍂
The baked apples 🍎🍎🍎so much make to remind my childhood 🥰😋...my mom made them in winter too🍎🥰😋✨

I love waking up in the morning, sending praises to God for another day, watering my plants, talking to animals, brushing my teeth, combing my hair, making myself a cup of tea and playing my favourite game on PC. Life is good🤍
Sometimes I wish I lived in a place where there are 4 seasons, to witness the leaves changing, to experience the chill of October evenings. But then I look out of the window and I am suddenly grateful for the sweltering sun, for the abundance of mangoes and other tropical fruits on my table, the verdant valleys beyond the horizon, and the affordable and readily available coconut water that I can’t imagine not having daily. We live in different settings, live life in varying paces… which is why we all have interesting (non-boring) lives. 😊 I enjoy seeing how things are on the other side of the Pacific and hearing your thoughts about life, Paola. Thank you 🙏 😊
Very interesting indeed. I'm from a colder climate country with very distinct 4 seasons, and it's something that I absolutely need for my mental and physical health. I've lived abroad a long time in a country with a milder climate where the seasons are not that distinct and it did not work well for me. Now I'm in my own country, outside is a beautiful colorful crispy cool autumn with the forests bursting from wild berries and mushrooms, winter is coming (snow expected any time now!) and I'm thriving. Summer is my least favorite season and if I'd live in a place with eternal summer I'd go insane. 😆 I do love tropical fruit tho lol but can't have it all, can we. 😁
I think boring is just another word for peace, a life without chaos.
This is my kind of life ❤❤❤I do the same things, walk the trails, star gaze and hang out with my dog and my kids and grandson. Soooo peaceful. Also, adore listening and watching the rain ❤
I once lived in a very rural area. We did not have a wood rat. (That I know of). But I noticed that my Brillo soap pads seemed to be disappearing from their spot under my sink. Then one day I discovered a very elaborate nest in the attic. It was made of brillo pads and decorated with faux poinsettias and other baubles from the boxed Christmas decorations.... I am also an introvert but I have never experienced boredom. It did take me some time, however, to acknowledge that solitude and serenity are a necessity for me. It is easier now that I am widowed and retired. Thank you for your videos. Stay free, friend.
Wonderful and peaceful video! I am always excited when I see that you've posted a new one. The forest takes on such a vibrant feel as it prepares for winter, so being able to wander and explore is a great experience. I'm glad you get to do that so easily! Have a great week!!
how healing . i absolutely love living in wilderness yurt with my 2 young sons. 'rythmnic' life os the perfect adjective .. love that thankyou
I'm an introvert and I loved being me. Being alone is not boring. It is authenticity. It gives me the energy and good vibes.
Nature is tranquility and peace to my soul. Thank God! ✨
Your life is my dream life 😍
This morning I have repotted some indoor plants, snuggled with our two cats, checked on my seedlings and cuttings, then watered the vegetable garden. I'm about to cook myself breakfast, and then sequester myself in my studio to sew a new top (it's all cut out and ready to go) Then I'll take my necessary midday rest. I wish I had more energy to get through these enjoyable tasks a little more quickly, but apart from that 🤷
Simple, quiet and gentle does not equal boring! Sending best wishes for your recovery to full health & strength x
When I was a teenager I rescued four mortally ill piglets . When they got bigger we fixed up an old shed with a tin roof behind the house . We loved the pigs and they had a nest room full of hay , a room where they ate warm mash three times a day and a shaded yard . When fall came a racoon, two rats and an ermine all moved into the little shed too . Eventually the racoon would eat out of the pigs trough. They all stayed there all winter long . It's one of the happiest memories of my life .
Your little rat reminded me of it . ❤
My life is very similar to yours here in The Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland UK. I love nothing more than immersing and grounding myself in nature. I love your calming and very inspiring videos. Thank you for the effort that you put into making them. 🥰
We are never alone for our higher self is with us 24/7
Your life is not boring. When you're living the life of your dreams, the life you want to live and not the one you have to is never boring. I'm the opposite of you,I'm a career person,I love to achieve things and climb mountains and get the money 😅 and people say that I must get burned-out but I don't. I LOVE IT. Is the life I always dreamed to have. I wake up happy beacuse I'm gonna do what I love. It's not what you do,is how you feel about what you do.
I love your videos by the way.
🥰
i 'd never be bored living where you do, in fact i'd revel in it. each season in your valley, and everywhere really, brings it's own wonder and beauty. i've changed my life dramatically due to cancer, and now enjoy a quiet *boring to society* way of living . each day is filled with peace, something new to learn. i've rediscovered the introvert that i always was, but chose to ignore. attempting to be an extrovert was exhausting and debilitating. we are all where we belong, if we listen to our inner voice.
Exactly how you need to adsorb and steam the Stroopwafel the Dutch way and like your life we consume the small things and our surrounding and appreciate this. It’s not about being an introvert but seeing how you’re self looks at the world.
"Planning is important, but being is more so." So true.
I don't consider this boring. It is relaxing, enriching, nature is my refreshment. I love that my 1 year old son loves nature just like me ❤. The way he points to birds and says "what that?!," the way he follows every little bug, and the way he looks at the rain, melts my heart. I would choose being in nature with my son over anything, any day.
As someone who's lived a life of perpetual trauma, slow and average is a sheer blessing to me. It's wonderful and I will never ever take it for granted. It's all my soul has ever wanted.
Wow, your “boring” life looks pretty amazing to me! What a gorgeous corner of the world you are blessed to live in! Thank you for sharing the beauty of the world around you. While I live and work in a city, I treasure the little pockets of nature that are usually just steps away. Your baked apples look so scrumptious! I will definitely try making some for my family this weekend. ❤
As much as I love being alone and connecting with creation, I find the most fulfillment in helping others.
You know, you really are one of the most gentle, beautiful, creative souls i have EVER encountered and I am so very grateful for your loving gentle simplicity in all ways, including your manner and way of speaking, and I appreciate your naturalness, softness and your recipies, your artwork, and all the other wonderful things you do, I can only wish toendeavour to emulate you. I'm in a rapid state of change right now, all is rather chaotic dramatic and frenetic at times, being a fellow introvert, I have to say, all I want is a peace filled, natural, quiet, creative and fufilling life. I would so adore living deep in nature as you do. I used to, but when my husband died, I was thrust, by dint of circustances to living in towns. Renting. I have lived a rather nomadic existence since my husband died, moving so many many times,as I lost my compass and my anchor - but I am inntentionally settling down, and I pray I may be blessed by ahcieving the kind of magical, gentle, peaceful, serene and creative life your have made for yourself. I do send you so much love and gratitude, from Scotland x And, thank you for being. I so appreciate YOU.
So sorry for the trauma you have experienced since your husband’s passing. I wish you peace in your journey and much joy when you get to where you want to be. God bless 🙏🏼
As an only child, growing up in nature, near a forest, I have always been comfortable being alone and exploring the natural world around me, usually accompanied by my dogs. Our earth is becoming more violent every day. I stay away from this madness by retrieving into my peaceful garden, my property, the forest.

Thanks for showing your contentment as well.
Embrace the boring - it’s easy to burn out in today’s society. Simplicity in the boring. 🙏💜
Lovely, everything so lovely! Thank you!
I love that you were kind with the rat and relocated him
I love the message of this. I never have any news for friends and family that call. My stay at home mama life is "boring" but the best thing ever. I love seeing you skip down the pathway, you look incredibly happy. Thanks Again for another video!
In my family, we always say ‘no news is good news’ :)

When my friends ask what I've been doing, I should just send them this video. ❤
🍂thank you so very much for your thoughtful and humane way of relocating the rat. All looks full of life. Nature has been one of my greatest healers. 🍁
I used to love to post nature photos. I found nature so beautiful and rewarding and wanted to share in my excitement. But I realized others didn't share in the love of nature or even appreciate it. It was boring to them. So i stopped sharing. I still take photos and enjoy nature. I love every season. I love that I'm an introvert and find peace and happiness within myself. ❤
Love this wonderland of a beautiful life. I enjoy watching you and yes I am an introvert and spend time alone when my husband and daughter leave for work. I’m retired and while they are away at jobs I’m alone for a number of hours. I am busy painting and writing and I take long walks. I am never bored. I live a rich interior life that keeps me company all the time. As I’m growing older I find that I’m happier. I have raised my family and now I am raising myself. Learning more about me everyday. It’s all good.
Thank you for caring for nature and also relocating the forest rat, not killing. The world would be so much better with more people like you in it x greetings from UK ❤
I love your art. I buy from your etsy shop frequently and I am always very pleased. I only give your art away to very special people in my life. Most of it I enjoy myself by hanging in my sewing room. Thank you for making it available to the public. It is exactly what I would create if I could. I moved to a house within the grounds of a remote farm in Wales. literally living my dream after watching so many of your videos. I'm alone but not lonely(husband still in london..for now). this morning I sat outside on my bench in the freezing cold drinking a cup if tea, loving every minute of it listening to the birds. I do miss the convenience of a corner shop( I have to ride over hills to get milk) and going to the cinema once a week but when I go down to London I make more of a effort to see family and friends and do new things. I know we made the right decision. I don't think about how I look..I live in wellies, timberlands and dungarees.Theres no pressure to buy new clothes or change my hair (I braid my own hair now thanks to UA-cam) . the farm animals, including a blind dog, are my new friends and I don't have feed or walk them. I'm content and never bored. plus I just found an apple tree on the grounds so I'll be making your treat soon. xx paola
Hi Paola! Always a treat to see your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your Autumn with me in sunny Florida. I appreciate being able to experience the fall thru your channel. The apples looked delicious!!❤
I have followed you for years now, it seems, and i am so impressed with the quiet life you live every day. I am 72. My daughters think my sedentary life is not only boring but lazy. I try not to get hurt. Your videos are gently uplifting, as usual. Thank you.
This was such a beautiful video the colours and sights of Autumn combined with your lovely voice and words brought a sense of peace these days people seem to imagine they must always be busy but sitting quietly enjoying nature or a craft or hobby is just as fulfilling. The wood rat was adorable and I’m sure it will be happy in the new home you found for it ! ❤😊
"Boring" is subjective. Whats boring to me is great fun to someone else. If anyone calls you boring it says a lot more about them than it says about you.
I love u. You are literally a fairy. The colors, camera angles, everything you have done is so beautiful. I'm not sure how I can fully describe the intensity of emotions I feel, but I'm so happy to follow your work. Thank you. 🌹🤗
