i dont get the abuse he gets about beardbrand... he always mentions various times how their stuff is expensive as well as mentioning the benefits of using their products i would say thats good critique. as long as doesnt soley promote beardbrand and making videos on their channel im fine with it
Hey man! Just like Beardbrand was for you, your channel helped me on the road to beardness. I just want to say thanks and keep up the helpful and funny videos my man!
I've started growing a beard. I'm one week into it and I'm already excited! I just turned 17 btw and have a decent beard already can't wait to see it in a month!!!
Definitely true. We all have our thing. You can get by using cheaper products. Yes, others would not notice. However, you have grown and nurtured this beard and a nuanced scent and texture is worth the premium. Plus, all the excellent videos have made it possible to continue growing the beard when others said, “So, when are you going to shave?”
Beardbrand has been my go to on youtube when I need answers to my questions about my beard. They not only do great supportive and informative vids, they have responded several times to my question on twitter. Right now, I am on a budget, but if I ever get a chance I plan to get some of their products at least once.
Good way to describe Beardbrand products. I was curious about their products since I began watching their videos on beard growth and maintenance. I bought their sliver line and now that you mentioned old money, I’m ordering it. Appreciate the funny shit in your videos man. Keep it up, I have a lot of your videos to watch to catch up.
Totally agree. Honest and informative. I'm a dedicated Beardbrand man. When I wanted to swap out Utility Balm for the Styling Balm, Keith was there to assist. So out to Keith...fantastic job my man. They are the anchor for us Beard Fanatics. And they put out damn good quality products you can trust. Good video. By the way, their styling balm is amazing. Beard on.
You can easily mix beard oil yourself. Basic ingredients are super cheap and after some trials and errors you'll figure out the exact recipe and the aroma that you need. There are plenty of interesting essencial oils out there so you can experiment with smells quite a lot. Also plenty of tutorials about how to start. This way you can tailor the oil to your preferences AND save some money in the process.
I agree, I buy their stuff because Eric was the one who gave me the best tip on straightening my beard using the multidirectional blow dry technique. Plus it's good stuff. I hope the Sharks are kicking themselves in their asses.
Yes, I agree the Beardbrand is to costly for me but I do get a huge benefit of their grooming improvement and personal care videos. I just wish there was a barber I could find in Lakeland, FL to correctly shape my beard so I don't have to use as much product to keep looking groomed and under control.
I tried the lumber yard utility balm. And it was the hardest balm I've ever seen. It was super hard to get it out of the container and It didn't melt good. It was beady and just didn't wanna emulsify. It didn't absorb into my beard , it just balled up.
If you mix a few drops in jojoba oil (bottle of 250ml or so for £10 on amazon) and apply... will last way longer than if you just use the BB oil on its own. BB oil has one of the best luster and silage of beard oils on market.
I personally dont buy Beardbrand oils. I have tried them for a week at a friends house who does use beardbrand products. On comparison for a week worth of use, the oil felt more refined than the typical brand I use. The fragerance was stronger and lasted longer about 2-3hours more. The difference is very miniscule but once you apply it for at least a week only the groomer, yourself will notice the difference. In my opinion it is worth it since beard oil lasts a very long time. Personally I am finishing up my oils before I make the switch. I'am waiting on doing the switch because I'am currently growing my beard right now and once I hit the shape I ideally prefer then I will use more luxurious products like beardbrand but like I said the difference will not be seen or noticed by others, only youself will notice and its a very tiny difference but the price difference is not as much either.
I used to be a fan of beardbrand but now that i know they charge 40 dollars for oils that are not even cold pressed and call it a premium oil im not into them anymore
Good honest review sir. I've been using old money utility balm for like 4 months or so I love it. My skin is healthy, less itchy the ol' lady thinks it smells great and I dig the hold. I've had a beard now for like 5-6 years, tried lots of different shit and I'm okay paying for something I know I like. Cheers
It's not hard to make your own oil. The upfront cost for Jojoba Oil and Sweetie Almond oil is about $20 USD for a 60ml bottles of both oils, which will net you a years worth of unscented oil depending on the ratio you use to mix it.
Good video and right on point. Beardbrand has got some good stuff and you can you really tell it's difference from other oils. Is it absolutely necessary?.....no....is it a higher quality? ....yes. But others make pretty good products at a slightly lower price....Personally my fave is Beardbrand and I have the entire Gold line in oils, balms and moustache waxes. My beard is worth it so I spoil myself. I also love Grave before Shave and Skullys. Beardbrand is probably one of the forerunners in the beard products game so as the man said....you pay a premium for a premium product.
Geez some people need to lighten up, honestly I've spent the big dollars on beardbrand top range I got the four vices. Sure it's alright definitely not buying it again though it doesn't have a wow factor. I will consider old money next time I wanna treat myself to a luxurious beard oil. However I agree with the above comment, if you want a good sized beard oil, without harsh chemicals or irritating fragrance, that still smells good and does what it's supposed to you can't go past honest amish original. Just 7 quality oils that almost smells like liquorice , but it's seriously good stuff
I love beardbrand, and my beard is my thing too, I also forget to brush my teeth sometimes when really focused on my beard prep! I dont even make much money, but I have sourced a supplier in Australia so I can get it. The guys at Beardbrand are awesome guys aswell, they have seperate community websites and help you with alot outside of just beards... Beardbrand, not just a company, its a lifestyle!! And I'm just a nobody from South Australia!!
The old money Utility Balm is $37, but it’s 3.4oz... so that’s like $11 per ounce, maybe I’ll get that instead of the $40 1oz oil? Hmmmm according to Beard brand, oil & utility serve almost identical purpose with balm having tad more hold.
How long does the scent last? I currently use boss man beard jelly the scent. Doesn’t last long on this product however boss man is very economical 14oz of their beard jelly is $14
I just bought 4 Utility Balms from them and it’s very worth it if you can afford it. I use the Four Vices, Old Money, Spiced Citrus and Tree Ranger balms and I also bought the Four Vices Oil. Their channel is also great on here. Very informative
Anthony Louis what's tree ranger like? I don't like musky kind of old school Mells like tobacco, leather, strong Arabian style perfume smell if you know what I mean. Prefer light and fruity.
TheBoscombesurfreef1 the Tree Ranger is really good. I really like it a lot. It has a beautiful Eucalyptus smell and I also smell some Pine. I own 2 Balms from every line and the consistency is the same with all of them. I really love the Beardbrand products. Do you use any of them.? I actually just purchased the Silver collection oils and the Four Vices Oil. The oil is great
TheBoscombesurfreef1 honestly, I use Honest Amish and Beardbrand atm. I’ve been switching between the two on a daily basis. My facial hair has really been softer and more conditioned. Also, I prefer Balms over Oils. As much as I like the Beardbrand oils, I prefer using the Balms. You should definitely try their silver line Balms
Crazy expensive 💰 Now I make my own, it’s cheap, easy, and I know exactly what goes into it. Not to mention I use all the best Products (not that they are expensive) and it cost less than $3 per ounce.
What do you guys think about the use of gylecrin in beardbrand's oils ?? Is it actually useful ?? I heard some companies use it to cheaply fill the bottles instead of using more amount of the expensive carrier oils
Nice review man! I recently bought both white and silver sets but none of the smells really "clicked" with me. I am hesitant in getting the gold set and not liking any of those at the max.... should I go with the old money and in case I don't like it blame it on you and send you the bottle? :)
I just bought a 1 oz bottle of the Beardbrand Spiced Citrus beard oil off Amazon for $25. Pricey as hell compared to Spartan's Den which I love but Amazon is out of stock on. I just had to try the Beardbrand stuff out and see if it's worth the price for me personally.
I'll let you know tomorrow when it arrives, I only ordered it yesterday. It was a toss up between that and Old Money, I haven't tried either scent yet. How is Old Money? I know ScubaTube is a fan.
I got the utility balm old money the scents between the utility balms and the oils unfortunately are not exactly the same. I think is ok it smells like whisky lol if you like that but as scubba said: the scents from gold lines stay longer on you, I personally prefer the tea tree scent
You don't need to waist your hard earned dollars on expensive beard oil just go to Walmart and buy a big ass jar of coconut oil and you will be sold trust me on this one
The choices are immense! Here in new Zealand were lucky to find oil. Let alone decent oil. Ive never been able to buy beard balm cause I cannot find any so I make my own or use mustache wax lok
It doesn't really matter what oil you use, tbh. They all have the same common ingredients that do the job. The only way they really differ is the scent and packaging design.
Yeah, you can cheaper oil, even cheaper good quality oil, but for me at least, the fragrance is a big part of it, and Beardbrand has really good scents, both in variety and smell. I could go Honest Amish and save some bucks, but they offer little variety in fragrance and I don't like the way it smells.
I now have a medium beard length where it wants to naturally contour to my face (ex: down and in along under my chin) this makes it more full but appear shorter. I can also comb it straight down but it looks thin at the ends when combed this way. What do recommend doing as far as combing/styling as I want to grow it out but, I'm not sure how to style in the in between stage?
Mine does the same thing where it curls under my chin. If I try to make it straight, it appears pretty thin. No one ever has covered this. I wish someone would...
I love the Tea tree oil and balm. I use it quite regularly Old Money is great too, it's kinda sweet and smells like sweet tarts to me. I would have liked pipe/cigar tobacco and leather notes. It is pricey though and if you can't afford it, check out Qualibeard. They are in Israel, have some fantastic products and you can get oil and balm shipped for less than $30. Great stuff if you're on a budget but want some great quality beard products. If you can afford it though, Beardbrand is the shit!
Leo yes. Its very greasy. For my opinion. I like it a little bit but stay away from it for most part. I put utility balm in in morning and is greasy feeling most day. Like I feel I need to wash out out every night. (I didn't overdo it) The smell was off too. Lumber yard didn't smell like I expected. More chemical smell..sorry just not impressed with the product and won't buy again
Have you tried their utility balm? It's like beard oil on steroids, and it seems to last longer. I'm using old money right now, but my last jar if tree ranger lasted 6-8 months!
So just out of curiosity here how long will beard oil usually last? Most of what I seen doesn't have expiration dates so it has me asking questions such as, are these like forever oils that can be used whenever or is there a time frame that they should be used by just so they don't go bad? I myself at this point have a little collection of beard oils and just wanna be certain that they won't expire or go bad before I can use them all.
Should Do a video on GIBS beard products they have quite the line of merch, and you didn't fart in this video... tisk tisk.. thought you were more professional than that. Keep up the quality content and keep on growing!!!!
Hey man, does Beardbrand sell samples...I would love to try the Old Money to see if I like it? (Thanks for your videos, you're my favorite beard tuber.)
They make samples for the scents but as for the actual product they don’t. Although if you buy something they usually do send a free sample of a balm. I’ve got old money and four vices as samples. They have very good products imo
Would you do a video on advice on what I've heard termed the "double beard"? I think I have this issue and not sure how to deal with it. It's thinner in the middle at the front and thicker at the sides.
this wasnt an oil review. it was a "You should buy it to support them even if its expensive" Which i do agree with. theyve helped my beard game tremendously...but you didnt say a word about how the oil affects your beard in ay way.
Bossman Beard Jelly. Fuggedaboudit. $15 for 4 ounces and it's amazing. Best products--and I've always been an Honest Amish guy before I found Bossman. Forget the thin oils. Jelly is next level, gents.
When you said “$10 more”, you meant to say “$25 more”. Most oils 1oz $12, Beardbrand $40 1oz. My fav is Four Vices, then Old Money. Ya I will spend the extra money for it. I’m not proud
Aww beardbrand was there for me too lol. Haven't tried old money. Four vices smells and to me. I stick to spiced citrus but I might switch to DreamBeard oils. Also hate Beardbrand's mustache wax packaging. The last bit goes to waste
Hey man, I’m new to making my beard and I fought some Artius man oil and it’s sick! People gave me some shit about it having fragrance. Is it weird to have a beard smell? Anyways thanks for the advice
Great to hear that the tutorials were helpful....and there for you, when no one else was there for you. (wipes single tear from cheek). #KeepOnGrowing
i dont get the abuse he gets about beardbrand... he always mentions various times how their stuff is expensive as well as mentioning the benefits of using their products i would say thats good critique. as long as doesnt soley promote beardbrand and making videos on their channel im fine with it

lol that's awesome. Keith is who I talk to up there
I love the old money and temple smoke scents. They are my favorite gold line beard brand scents by far.
Best beard Channel for me!! New to the beard growing thing, and your channel is my go-to channel...... my happy place!
The white line isnt just the low end. Its mostly for moisture and it also has no allergens. The balm for the white line is cheap huge and great.
Beard brand was the girl holding my hair when I was throwing up lol
I agree, I buy their stuff because Eric was the one who gave me the best tip on straightening my beard using the multidirectional blow dry technique. Plus it's good stuff. I hope the Sharks are kicking themselves in their asses.

Eric Bandholz is still there for me.
Good review and good to see brand loyalty. Going on 2 1/2 months growth and looking forward to creating an awesome well groomed beard.
I have the Old Money scent in the balm, and it is the best smelling product I have ever come across.
I personally dont buy Beardbrand oils. I have tried them for a week at a friends house who does use beardbrand products. I bought the white bottle today for 15.99 at target! It feels good! I’m new to the beard world so it’s my second bottle! First was a oil from Cremo
Good honest review sir. I've been using old money utility balm for like 4 months or so I love it. My skin is healthy, less itchy the ol' lady thinks it smells great and I dig the hold. yeah i agree their channel helped me with the right tips to grow a beard and their products are really good
Yea they are awesome for sure!!

I haven't tried the beard brand product yet but I did buy the original Spartans den oil and balm and it's smells awesome. How would you compare it?
I also tried the beard guys shampoo and it's the best smelling one I've tried to so I appreciate the recommendations
How long does the scent last?
I currently use boss man beard jelly the scent. Doesn’t last long on this product however boss man is very economical 14oz of their beard jelly is $14

Another great review Scuba. Keep it up brother.
Crazy expensive 💰 Now I make my own, it’s cheap, easy, and I know exactly what goes into it. Not to mention I use all the best Products (not that they are expensive) and it cost less than $3 per ounce.
What are some of the "premium oils" and differences that are added in it? You mentioned it but only really hit up on the jejoba oil.
Oh, the wax is great from them also. I only started growing a beard a little over 3 months ago, so I’m glad I started early with them
beard brand has the best blends and their scents are the best on the market. I only use beard brand
What do you guys think about the use of gylecrin in beardbrand's oils ?? Is it actually useful ?? I heard some companies use it to cheaply fill the bottles instead of using more amount of the expensive carrier oils

Steve Herrmann did you like the smell? Is the only one that I'm missing to try out
I'll let you know tomorrow when it arrives, I only ordered it yesterday.
Steve, which Spartans Den scent do you like? I've only tried "Classic" and wasn't particularly fond of it.
I have only cocconut oil and my beard looking so good.
You don't need to waist your hard earned dollars on expensive beard oil just go to Walmart and buy a big ass jar of coconut oil and you will be sold trust me on this one
Dude Walmart has beard oil lmao just get that cheap stuff it still works
I tried coconut oil once and never again. I couldn't STAND the smell.
The choices are immense! Here in new Zealand were lucky to find oil. Let alone decent oil. Ive never been able to buy beard balm cause I cannot find any so I make my own or use mustache wax lok
I convinced my friend to use beard oil. He is now using biotin oil. Do you think this will actually help his beard growth?
It doesn't really matter what oil you use, tbh. They all have the same common ingredients that do the job. The only way they really differ is the scent and packaging design.

i love your videos, have you ever reviewed Suavecito premium Beard Oils?
if I buy the balm should I still buy the oil too? getting a ride together to get everything at once.
Depends on how long your beard is. If it's under an inch, I would just get oil, if it's longer than an inch, I would get oil and balm
took me 3 years to finally give them a go and i love it. But i would love it more if it was 30% cheaper
any advice on what oils to buy for a more cologne smell ? getting tired of the citrus smells.
Spartns Den on amazon i agree seems like most oils are fruit smells
Not an oil, but I found that Beard Gains' Pristine Beard Balm has a very cologne-like scent.
The only scent by Spartans Den I've tried so far was "Classic." To me, it smelled like baby powder.
spartans den legend, my favorite oil by far
Fisticuff's Grave Before Shave. 9 scents. $27.00 for FOUR ounces as opposed to $14.99 for ONE ounce of Beard Brand's least expensive oil.
I went back and forth on beardbrand oils etc. Just pulled the trigger on some Beard Oil (Tea Tree), anxious to see how it works.
Have you used their utility balm? What's your opinion on it versus other brands like honest amish,GBS, or artius man?
ever use woodys products? the balm is amazing and smells amazing..and the oil bottle seems larger than others ive bought
I've never heard of them, gonna have to look into that
I love the Tea tree oil and balm.
Have you use their utility balm?
You burped at 1:43 too haha. Nice review bro, thanks.
Hey scuba tube have you done a review on the four vices beard oil ?
Mr Evo four vices isn't worth it, it just smells like castor oil. I wouldn't get it again
great review bro, but how much is that "Old Money"?
Omegah TV I use it it's about 38$, if you want a premium beard oil it's definitely worth it.
Nuno Daun I gotcha bro, thank you for the heads up!
So just out of curiosity here how long will beard oil usually last? Most of what I seen doesn't have expiration dates so it has me asking questions such as, are these like forever oils that can be used whenever or is there a time frame that they should be used by just so they don't go bad? They make samples for the scents but as for the actual product they don’t. Although if you buy something they usually do send a free sample of a balm. I’ve got old money and four vices as samples. They have very good products imo
Have you tried any of the live bearded products and if so what were you thoughts on them
For how long does beard oil last before its composition breaks down or alters or it expires?
I just started to follow you, have you ever tried clubman beard oil? Ive used it for a little while and its pretty good for the price.
I used the clubman oil. But recently, I can't find it anywhere anymore.
Just bought the lumber yard white bottle..i had no idea they had gold n silver lol but i like it alot im gonna start using their shit
Would you do a video on advice on what I've heard termed the "double beard"? I think I have this issue and not sure how to deal with it. It's thinner in the middle at the front and thicker at the sides.
I’ve just started using Kentucky 51 beard oil and it seems good the smell I got is also great. It’s sandle wood
My 5 month beard feels thicker on one side what's up with that??
Stuff like that happens all the time. Just next time you trim, take the thick side down a litttle more to even it out
Genetics bro.
Also, I’m sure beard brand has some pretty awesome scents!! What is your favorite scent scuba?
this wasnt an oil review. it was a "You should buy it to support them even if its expensive" Which i do agree with. theyve helped my beard game tremendously...but you didnt say a word about how the oil affects your beard in ay way.
what is your opinion on the Wild Willies Beard Products?
When are you going to go over there balm
the styling balm?
ScubaTube yeah that and the utility's one
I really like beard brand but I’m not for sure how long they have been around
Unless it's soaked in barrels or w/ natural ingredients I'm not sure how you can justify $40 / oz. Idk, change my mind Barrel Brands!
What is your opinion on their utility oil?
Bossman Beard Jelly. Fuggedaboudit. $15 for 4 ounces and it's amazing. Best products--and I've always been an Honest Amish guy before I found Bossman. Forget the thin oils. Jelly is next level, gents.
What would you recommend the Spartans den beard oil or beard brands tee tree oil
cheif465 get both and decide, they're both quality oils
@BeardTube you should do a review on Live Bearded I really want to see what you think about their oils and other products
I pay 6 bucks on bulldog beard oil and it works just as good or even better so yeah so spending nothing still got me a good beard
Completely agree. Only if you have the money to spend, why not?
Does old money smell more woodsy or cologne like.
Can you make a cheap beard balm review like you did with the oils?
Yea that's coming very soon!!
Good point about appreciating the Beardbrand resources. *belch*
yessir! They are awesome in that regard
BeardTube loved the belch 😂
How’s that lumber yard? I was thinking in trying it.
When you said “$10 more”, you meant to say “$25 more”. Most oils 1oz $12, Beardbrand $40 1oz. My fav is Four Vices, then Old Money. Ya I will spend the extra money for it. I’m not proud
Thanks for the advice good video
What are your thoughts on dollar beard club products @scubatube
What's your opinion on The Mod Cabin products?
I'm alway on a budget but iv always want to try their oils but can't. I'll try to save for it.
dose beard oil really work?
And if so if i get the growth one how much dose it help?
i just got some.
Aww beardbrand was there for me too lol. Haven't tried old money. Four vices smells and to me. I stick to spiced citrus but I might switch to DreamBeard oils. Also hate Beardbrand's mustache wax packaging. The last bit goes to waste
Could you do a review on bulldog beard products?
How long have you been growing your beard
I get that your beard is your thing but is the burping during your video's a thing as well?
What’s better beardbrand or Artius man?
Out of all the brands you've tried, which beard company has been your go to?
Walmart carries Cremo oils and balm. Great quality at a great price ($9.99 each).
Dan Shelley bear brand and fellows for him and her- check the latter out also!
BeardBrand sucks. Cant stand any of their scents, and they are over priced. Grave Before Shave for me!
Dan Shelley Try the tea tree oil one
Grave Before Shave for beard oil and balm, Bluebeard's Original for beard shampoo and conditioner.
Hey man, I’m new to making my beard and I fought some Artius man oil and it’s sick! People gave me some shit about it having fragrance. Is it weird to have a beard smell? Anyways thanks for the advice
