Thank you all for the support!
I’ve heard you talk about a beard grow or do you have any recommendations on white brown mine seems to get to a certain point and just slows way down looking to speed it up
@@jimhollis9370 just healthy habits! Biotin can really help too
Such a genius idea for a series, Dan. I don't know that I'd ever go into a drugstore to look for these products, but it's darn nice to know they are there, and that you did the legwork for all of us if we consider that type of purchase. Huge fan of your carrier oil series, too. As a fellow educator, I'd love to be in your classroom.
Thank you my friend, that is a true compliment! Made my day
every time i have a question about my beard or any product that i wanna try, the teacher has the answer...is amazing the amount and the quality of content of this channel.
What a great job!!, thumbs up from Colombia.
Thank you Francisco!
Thank you for that great and honest review. Living in the UK this is the first decent review I have seen of Bulldog from someone I respect. I make a lot of my own oils and butters now but after watching this review I would give this a try. Many thanks Trusted Teacher.
🧔👊
My buddy picked up some Bulldog from Meijer, I'm glad you've got a video on it, i have been a little weird about getting products from grocery or drugstores. I personally prefer the small business owners myself. But still good to know that grocery stores can have some good products in them if I need something in a pinch 😁
I’ve always wondered about this stuff. Thanks for the great review Dan!
Thank you, glad I could help!
Awesome vid Dan. Teaching and Preaching!! Really like this series for emergency uses. I won’t be putting the on the must by list but they are on the emerg list. Enjoy your weekend, cheers!!
Thanks Andrew!
Thanks for the review on this product Dan! Keep'em coming
You got it 👊
So glad you reviewed this brand! I've seen them many times but been a little leery. Thank you!
Really solid stuff for the store!
Just saw this stuff at Target yesterday. I was curious about it then you posted this video. Thanks for the info
I can read minds...
Thank you for the heads up. I love your reviews Dan. Keep them coming.
Thanks brotha E!
Howdy DanC. Thanks for talking with me the other day. Much thanks sir.
I was and am happy with bulldog oil. Wasn’t pumped with the butter but I have had liked zero whipped or lotion style butters..
Any time brotha!
I’m from UK & thanks for reviewing 👍🏻 been using bulldog as my main oil & beard wash for a few years & really like it
I’ve been waiting for this video! Was actually going to recommend it. First beard oil I ever used when I started growing my yeard. I like it a lot and was hoping you’d support it! Good to hear and another great video!
Awesome, thanks Kevin!
I`ve used Bulldog shampoo/conditioner for a couple of years now. I started using the oil and loved it. Never even looked at the ingredients so thanks for the video, I think I`ll continue to use, rather than change brands.
Thanks for the info at least I know if I go out of town I can stop somewhere and grab some bull dog. I love the drug store series!
Thanks Mo!!
I haven’t tried anything outside the US yet. I’ve had my eye on the 7 potions beard oil and wax for a while. I tend to like made in the USA products but am open to trying others. Love these reviews, keep em coming! 👍
Seven potions is wonderful!
Thanks for video. Saw this at CVS the other day and thought you would be reviewing soon.
Haha you know it!
Yes keep making these drug store beard product videos. I have a lot to learn!
My first purchase out of the usa beard product I must say I'm impressed and enjoy the beard oil definetly a steal if you need some reliable on budget beard oil! Litreally typed in bulldog beard oil saw dan c bearded and instantly clicked and you couldn't have said it any better thanks brother
Agreed! thanks for the kind words Joel
Really digging this drugstore series!! As for the question I’ve only tried seven potions but I am open to trying others !
Awesome!
Absolutely agreed with you here! The fragrance did grow on me after using it though. Yet, still not my favorite smell. Thanks for the review!
Absolutely! Not the worst scent, but not great
Great video and loving this series Dan!
Thanks brotha!
Beard is on point today...well done, sir!
Thanks brotha!
Never heard about bulldog beard oils great review never tryed any overseas oils or balms but I am open to trying some thought good job brother 👊
Thanks Jason!
Just ordered the oil, shampoo and face wash. Good video man
It's good to see that there is a drug store brand that is ok to use. Love this series can't wait to see some of the brand that we carry up here. I have never tried a European oil before but I am looking into a swidish oil atm.
Thanks buddy!!
My gf just got me this before I found your channel, so I’m glad you approved on the beard. I also have their beard wash/conditioner, and balm. :)
It is not bad at all!
Great review brother. I use bulldog face products and luv them. Glad to hear that the beard products are solid. 👍
I will have to checkout their skincare products lol
I really like this brand. Its making my beard so happy.
After watching this I tried the Beard Shampoo Conditioner and am quite impressed. See what you mean about the scent but the price etc was a no brainer. Well Done Bulldog.
I may have to pick some up for use before heading outside for hours in the cold, dry Michigan winter. I don't want to "waste" the good stuff for running and snow shoveling.
Great point!!
Great video as usual! I haven’t used any oils out of Europe, but I am spending a few weeks over there in May. So I plan on looking for some products while I’m there. I’ll show ya when I get back!👊🏼
That is awesome, cannot wait to hear about your trip!
Dan C Bearded super pumped! Can’t wait to go! Hope I can find some cool products!👊🏼
I use the bulldog beard oil and since using it my heard feels so much better and more softer and healthier thansk for the review also love the content and defo subscribing after this video 👍
Oh I’m glad and welcome to the channel!
We have this at our local walmart. Have used the balm but never tired the oil. Nice to know that they are all natural as they claim. Another great video from the man with the plan. The beard plan. The bearded champ. # Trusted Teacher 🎓
Thanks Bo!
Yeah!! Love the drugstore series 😀
Thanks!
Hi ,living in the UK Bulldog brand is widely known as a trusted brand and is my go to beard oil brand. Thanks for trying and liking it.
Another great video dan. I have seen this oil in stores but never tried it. Scent is a big part of it for me so I'll probably never try this because of the scent. I have not tried a European company yet. I have looked into seven potions and will probably try in the near future. Thanks for the help Dan.
Awesome!
Awesome, that is the one beard oil that I actually use since don't have to pay an arm and a leg for shopping here in Germany, because I can buy it at the local drugstore.
Funnily enough, I really like the scent but don't mainly smell the lemon but rather the green tea, especially compared to stuff like BeardBrand's spiced citrus. After I had just tried one of their samples I felt like someone pepersprayed me with a Christmas punch...
Thank you for the review!
Haha I cannot do BB spiced citrus either
Bulldog ist auch das einzige Bartöl was man sich hier in den Läden antun kann.
Yes I have treid several european beard oils, since I live in Europe. Some I love... some I don’t like. There are so many beard oil makers out there in Europe and offcourse I didn’t try them all out yet... but always looking forward to testing out new beard oils.
Awesome!
I was going to say I haven't tried any companies from overseas, but I just realized I've tried bulldog beard company. I used their beard balm back in 2016 with my first real attempt at growing a beard. I really didn't care for the scent or the feel in beard, but I didn't think I had many options at the time. Then I found the trusted teacher in mid 2018 and my world was flipped upside down. The only reason I have an epic beard now is because you told me there's more out there then drugstore beard products.
Thank you Steve! This series is not for hall of fame beardos like you, but I really appreciate you still watching!
@dancbearded glad you did a review on this bro. I don't mind the scent but doesn't last long anyway. I am from the UK. I bought a kit at a supermarket. It was... Shampoo and conditioner, oil, balm, comb and decent trimming scissors
Sorry left out the price 6 quid
Awesome!
For this past Christmas, my wife got me a subscription to Beard Wide. They send you samples of three oils per month, each one a different scent from a different company from a different country. It's about $20 per month which includes shipping. I just received my second shipment. I've received oils from Norway, Canada, Scottland, Sweden, Italy and France. So far, they've been pretty good. There haven't been anything too crazy. The one from Italy had Raddiccio Oil as it's primary carrier. It felt a little strange while applying, but absorbed well and definitely left my beard smooth. The scents haven't been anything too elaborate - a couple naturals, a couple citrusy and one that was a nice Sandalwood Vanilla.
Regarding more "mainstream" companies, I've tried a few. Amoung them were Seven Potions, Xtend and Dapper Dan. They've all been nice in beard. I cannot remember ingredients enough offhand to speak of them. Seven Potions was their Woodland Harmony, which I really enjoy. I have three from Xtend. All of which I enjoy. My favorite from them reminds me greatly of Orange Blossoms. Being from Florida, along with some family history, I'm kind of a citrus connoisseur. The Dapper Dan I purchased merely for the container. It's a 50mL whiskey barrel. The scent is Vanilla and Tonka Bean. It's nice. I think Sam would like it if her nose agrees with mine. I get kind of a soapy Vanilla.
Great information. I've never tried BullDog but it's good to know of as a safe beginner reference to give.
I have it heard of that subscription service, sounds pretty cool! Awesome comment, thank you!
For what it's worth, I use Bulldog and have been hoping someone would review it for a years now. I love this and, for me, it is the best value out there. Also, I actually love the scent and, more importantly, my wife loves it.
It is a great value, no doubt about that!
Same here :-)
Home bargains does one for a fifth of the price of bulldog oil n is so much better
Thanks Dan for this review. I have never tried any beard product from another country. It's not that I'm against it but I like to support the local boys more. That being said I can't ever say I won't try it if I come across it.
I hear ya on that, absolutely!
Great video. Dan .I agree with all you say about bull dog personally I am a seven Portions man but I did get some bull dog from the store and it works well .now the cent what can I say i can't smell nothing .but overall I would recommend it if one is not bothered about not smelling the cent overall i would give it 3 stars coz of the price .and it a great oil if one is on a budget
I like their face wash, and its smell. I'll have to pick this up as a beard oil to use liberally. Nice video
I need to try some of their skin products
Pity their balm contains water and is very soft. Looking for a oil to tied me over before I purchase the items needed to make beard oil at home. Good review will be hunting this oil when out shopping today.
Great review
Only one I have tried is 7 potions per your review and love it...I prefer USA made beard items but not against trying other countries and look forward to trying some in the future
7 potions is awesome! Best wash in the game
Thanks for this review, I'm new to growing a beard (properly, at least) so I bought the Bull Dog balm and a beard oil made by a major cosmetics company (I forget, Nivea or something) because they were cheap and available at the local supermarket and chemist. I get a different take on the scent from the original Bull Dog beard balm, it has more of a black tea leaves sort of smell to my nose but my wife doesn't particularly like it either. It's not offensive but not something you'd chase for the scent. It's good to know that the ingredients in the balm are quality and for the price it's certainly nice to have a back up if ever stuck waiting for shipping. I've got some oils and balm coming in from Melbourne Beard Oil... I'm looking forward to trying the 'craft' stuff and keeping the beard going! Thanks mate! Love your videos, you're a relaxing man to listen to.
Awesome comment, thank you brotha!
Does it make your beard or mustache grow?
First time beard grower only at 2 months growth found this in local Sainsbury’s for £3.50 so thought give it a go glad to hear its all natural and i like the smell thankfully
Not sure whether you've heard of them, but there's a UK company called Captain Fawcett who aren't a drugstore brand and are a bit more pricey. They have a number of bearded celebrity signature scents, though, like John Petrucci.
There's also Apothecary 87, who are a pretty decent brand as well with a cool brand image.
You are a life saver
Well at least I know if I was in a pinch, this is something I can use. Thanks for your review brother 👊💪👍
Absolutely! 👊
Have their Beard Wash... was able to smell the oil in the store (someone had already opened a box) and did not enjoy the smell so I bought the Honest Amish next to it..many moons ago... still have the HA in case of an emergency. Ha. Thanks Dan, enjoying this series!
Honest amish is great! I do not use it much anymore, but one of my first loves
Bulldog is one of the first beard oils I tried when starting my beard journey a while ago and i like it because it's all natural and i actually love the scent. Although I've graduated on to Detroit Grooming company and Scotch Porter beard products this is still good stuff to me. It's not about it being what you call a drug store product......which i think sorta demeans the product a little, it's about ingredients and performance. If there were a higher price tag and it was only available online.....then I guess it would be considered top notch.
Thanks for the feedback and perspective!
I bought this oil a little while ago. Tell me about your experience with it. Does a beard grow or not? How many packages are enough for a person like me?
Grew my 1st beard this year and that was what was available the time. I never knew about the beard life and I like the product. I got some stuff from amazon coming in soon. Any recommendations? Got some shampoo and conditioner in the next shipment. Love the video.
Honest amish is a great bet!
I tried bulldog oil today , I loved everything about it , I thought the smell was a clean ,manly with a very small citrus 🍊 the best thing is you can get it almost anywhere
I've recently tried this and it's the only drugstore brand that's worth buying! 🧔
i will try it thanks for the lessons dan
You're welcome 👊
My first beard oil I ever used is "Gruff" hand made in Wales and all natural. I do like it and has a nice smell, sweet orange, mint and coconut. Jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, argan oil, coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, vitamin E oil, and essential oils.
Sounds awesome!
I use bulldog beard oil, i love it soothed my skin from being extremely irritated from dry beard & using the wrong oil for me. Highly recommend Bulldog beard oil!
I haven’t used this stuff but when I’ve seen it in store I’ve opened and smelled them and looked at them and I wasn’t impressed myself great informative video
Thanks Matt!
Oh, and you should also try Mr Bear Family. Its a swedish beardcompany that i really like! They ship worldwide.
my fiance tried the Bulldog beard shampoo & conditioner and hated it. The feel as it came out of the bottle was like really sticky. As soon as he put it in his beard he felt the need to wash it out with his pine tar soap and condition with beard octane downshift. have you tried any of their products besides the oil?
I like Bulldog. It has a subtle citrus scent. I still use their oil and beard wash
I like the bulldog I use it and it smells good. I just dont now what else to use the other stores beard oil they all stink. Is there a website where I can get free samples.
I love the name of the company. Would go great with all my Mississippi State Bulldogs gear😂😂. I definitely like this series. Never thought about buying from drug stores🧔🏻💪🏼
Thanks brotha!
Hi Dan! I'm from Europe and this was my first oil.
I recommend you a Spanish brand I also like, it's called Macho, pretty good.
Great job teacher, really like your videos!
Thank you! I would love for that company to reach out to me
Another great video, you continue to outdo yourself. I think I'll stay away from this stuff just because of the scent. Can't wait for the next.
Thanks Derek!
I absolutely love Bull Dog beard oil and I absolutely love the smell of it
That's great!
I'm on a trip, remembered everything but wash and cowash. Bought bull dog Beard Shampoo & Conditioner. (2 in 1) I haven't tried it yet but i will tomorrow.
Let me know how it is!
@@DanCBearded it's a good wash but definitely doesn't condition like it says. It strips the beard.
I love their face products, like wash scrub and moisturiser
i recommend bull dog balm with this oil also, especially if you are prone to beard druff. some oils make my skin peel over time 🤔 i think all natural ingredients is the way to go.👍
For sure!
I'd say Lime and Ginger are the main scents you get with this, and I actually like it as a nice change to using aftershave (cologne)
I could see ginger, now that you say it. Good call!
Excellent video, congratulations, in the past I tried a "macho beard company"
Thanks!
Great job Dan 👌 Bulldog Beard Oil is available down here in Sydney, but never tried it. Being from the UK, I'm definitely hoping to try some European products in the future ✌
Thanks Rob P!
I have not tried any beard oils from Europe yet but seven potions is on the list of oils I want to try. Also was very surprised this got a positive review, you started says how the bottle was good quality and was only 8 bucks and I started thinking "oh man, something is going to be wrong. Hard to believe it's that cheap of a price for quality bottle and oil too", but pretty cool that it is really just quality stuff for a great price.
I was extremely surprised as well! Their margins have to be really small and they make money on quantity
Hey Dan, Bulldog was my first ever oil, only £4 in UK supermarkets. I’m also a Seven Potions beard balm guy. Living in Dundee, Scotland, I gotta recommend my local beard oil producers - McKenzie Beard Company, medium thickness and great smells. Also for a colone smelling premium oil Lumberjack Inc’s Comanche oil from Aberdeen. Other UK companies worth a shout Thatcher Beard Oil (Got Wood) and Braw Beard have some great oils
I would love to check out all of those!
I have this One, and I looooveeee the scent! Very masculine!
Super good option for in stores
What about a person who don't have Beard can i use to get
Brilliant review
I bought from Amazon ot was £3.33 and i think it feels nice and my wife thinks it smells nice
Its not everyones taste but i like it and feels nice so far and for 2 for less than £7 im happy!
Good feedback!
There are so many good brands made here in the USA that I have never entertained trying an international brand. I’m not opposed but shipping cost usually make it cost prohibitive.
Thanks for the great series, but I will be sticking with non drugstore options.
These products are not for hall of famers like JC! Thanks for still watching brotha 👊
I absolutely love the beard oil by Bulldog. Use it daily. Just bought their shampoo/conditioner and balm. Hoping that they are equally good.
I hope so too! keep me posted
Great video dan. Never tried it but is a great price point and convenient. So perfect for in a pinch or a new beardsman like you said. Probably not a scent for me. Possibly try a different scents. I've only tried one European oil and it's from bedrock beard co. I won in a contest. I got the Mr Miyagi scent and love it. Its yuzu and Sandalwood. Is other scents sound amazing as well. I also love the droppers from other countries they are little more classy looking in my opinion. Hope you had a great weekend Dan.
I agree on the droppers Ben, a lot of different options as compared to the US that really use the same 3 styles only
@@DanCBearded agreed. us needs to up their dropper game. 😂🤣😂
Hi Dan, I have tried this oil, as with a lot of UK oils. You’ve hit the nail on the head with the review. Great price, Conditions the beard well but doesn’t smell great. I do feel it leave the beard feeing a bit light if that makes sense? A couple of oils you must try are ‘privateer’ by Mariner Jacks (their balms are my favourite, bit pricey but amazing) and ‘velvet wood’ by London Beard company. Two of my absolute favourites, they smell amazing but they condition and soften my beard better than any others I’ve tried. Would be cool to see what you think of them if you can get your hands on some. 😊
I would love for them to reach out to me!!
There’s a company called Grimfrost out of Sweden, they make Viking products and also have a few beard oils & combs as well as beads. I’ve used their resin & hops scent as well as their Jarl’s thistle scent. I like the Jarl’s Thistle more but the resin & hops is very nice too
Very cool!
Please do a review of Jack black beard oil, it is really amazing stuff! Greetings from Sweden. 👊
I was interested in this product & after this video I may have been convinced to buy.. but Question what can u recommend for itchy, dry beards?!.. does that wash give you the relief you need?.. please help thank you
I have not tried their wash, so I couldn't help on that. Shoot me a message on IG and I help with specific recommendations
It’s been a year however I use their shampoo and conditioner two in one to wash and their oil. The wash is good and does the job but it’s my first run at growing my beard out and the only wash I’ve tried.
Isn’t the original scent Green Tea? I swear I have the same bottle with that exact scent.
Hi Dan I live in uk and have used bulldog oil , the balm is like a butter .
I still haven't tried the balm
For another drugstore review, I would like you to review "maestro's" beard oil. For small batch, review "texas beard company". Just some ideas.
For sure! Thanks Steve
Just started using this. Love it, so far. Like mid tier, to me. And the scent.. gotta be citronella. I can’t help but think it might double as a bug repellant
I can totally see that!
I have seen this product in Walmart...but only like face cleaning items...no oils or balms...eh maybe I'll try it one time
It's a good option for a cheap price and easy pickup
i have bull dog shampoo.1st and only beard shampoo i bought and used in 10sih yrs of my beard life.funny that describes. shampoo sent to,dont mind as wash but would like as oil balm.i started reading ingredients now because of you.
I will have to checkout their wash!
I was given a cremo balm some time back. He told me later the smell was like detergent to him. It smells like key lime to me. I dont believe they make this one anymore. It just says styling balm but when I try to buy it now it has scents mainly trees. People perceive smells differently.
Oh no doubt on scents, everyone's nose is a little different
I’ve not tried a company from another country.
But I love diff cultures and things like that and would love to.
I would assume countries like Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Lebanon would have the most bearded men, so it would be cool to see what they use or if they use anything or if they even have companies etc
Good thought!
Great review! Yesterday I saw their products at Target, couldn't smell the oil but the balm I could. The balm smells like regular body lotion and it looks like the same consistency, you should take a look at it to see if it's worth it.
The oil is not a bad option at all!
@@DanCBearded Give the balm a try/review… I’ve used nothing like it and I’ve tried a lot of other brands.
Proraso Beard oil from Italy was the first I ever used in my beard. I thought it was decent for the price, but have been using other products now. It is considered a drugstore brand in Italy, but the drugstores there are a little different...
I had not heard of them, awesome comment! Thanks
Proraso have great scents, great oils...azur lime scent is 🔥(subtle scent)
Good video DanC.
Never have tried international products yet.
Do you find with those that the price is good but shipping is high?
If they are not in store or on Amazon, yes absolutely!
