BIZARRE - Miss Lady of the Evening, The Bigots, Police Line Up

- A piece of history here! Bizarre was a half hour sketch comedy show that is not politically correct (it was made in the early 1980's). It's not uncommon to see women in their underwear doing whatever is necessary to get a laugh. It showcased the talents of veteran performers John Byner (the host) and Bob Einstein as Super Dave Osbourne.

7:25 - Army Draft Trade

When I was young, I think in the days, this was like a XXX SHOW.
The guys couldn't wait till this show comes on, I miss those days!!
This was always great. Miss them too glad to see them back on.
Benny Hill and Italian Moves on CHIN TV in Toronto were great!
lol
Wow, I used to LOVE this show as a kid. Yeah, I was a kid watching this late night. The line up was Honeymooners at 10:00pm, Benny Hill at 10:30, and Bizarre at 11:00 on Channel 16 in Little Rock, AR. Bedtime was awesome. haha. The Super Dave skits were my favorite.
Boobs on Benny Hill on regular t.v.!
I watched the same exact line up, in Sheridan AR....and I watched every episode of bizarre waiting for Super Dave. 😂
@@robertyates6362 And right before Honeymooners was Night Court. Never could get enough of Dan Fielding. Still can't. lol
I remember an edited version for tv and an uncut for Showtime. At home, I watched the clean TV version and at my mom's friend, I got to see the uncut.
Same here in Canada. But we had SCTV also
RIP super Dave Osborne, icon that I watched growing up in the awesome 80s
I am here because of Legend *Bob Einstein* (Super Dave Osborne RIP 1/2/2019) ... I was LQQKing for the Brilliant Cable Show I first saw him on!
John Byner is an Icon
The honks of the version that aired in Canada made it way funnier than the uncensored Pay-TV version.
Rest In Peace super dave!
You magnificent bastard!!!
A truly great Canadian show, before the P C police killed fun.....................
In the U.S., it aired on Showtime (without censorship), and this show was produced by Allan Blye, the same man who gave us The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, Cher and The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show, and most of the staff members of Blye's stable, such as writer/performer Bob Einstein (RIP), music director Jimmy Dale (RIP) and set designer Jack McAdam, did work on this series.
@@danalong1237 only very late at night in sothern Ohio. The church ladies would've been cutting cable lines if it had shown before we sweet, innocent children were tucked into our beds. In the early eighties they had a lot more power than they do now and we had so many dang blue laws that we couldn't breath without breaking one of them.
Women who enter Adult Entertainment come from broken families, I'm sure you all would like your daughters being involved in such things
@@dvdfrnzwbr OMG its a PCer. :-P
Well, there's Family Guy, American Dad, and The Simpsons. Nothing PC about those shows.
Haahahaha!---You couldn't do this kind of humor today!
Especially The Bigots
John Byner = Russ Meyer of Canadian TV -- I've missed this show!
you know Russ..the King of Bosom...Howard Sttern said he was the greatest director ever11..he was
Benny Hill too!
What business did I have watching this show in 1980 when I was only 10 years old? It's a good thing that both of my parents slept like the dead. Lol. I still love this show
Tree Hugger same!
Thanks for putting this up, a treat to see again! And I must admit this is the first 'uncensored' episode I've seen. Not to sound like a prude, but I think it's funnier when aired on basic cable, and stuck with the stage camera hiding what they were showing to John and getting his reaction better. Plus I loved the funny quack noises they used to cover up the swear words. But have to hand it to John and all, as this show boosted HBO's 'matureness' for those that HAD to see and hear the dirty bits. Yet also could play on prime time. Not sure who was behind that duality, but I think CTV should be given the credit. Revolutionary, and still holds up well.
Dungeon The show was on Showtime, not HBO. fyi
It was actually picked up by Showtime here in the states. But I agree, as a 7 or an 8 year old watching this show I loved hearing the censor noises, I think they cracked me up more than the jokes themselves!
Prude.
Super Dave went on to perform many many more successful stunts for us. Thanks and rest in peace Super.
One of the best comedians 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
John's Showtime late night partner in crime, Gallagher, left us today. What a great pairing these two shows were, my early experience with cable rocked.
In The Bigots' sketch, the Italian son is played by the actor who played Raj's father on The Big Bang Theory.
The funniest and most original tv show
6:17... I recall one in which the joke was about hemorrhoids, and "Preparation W" was the punch line.
Sound quality on this is awesome for being 70s vhs.. 1st time hearing of this show... Very entertaining for today's standards...
You're about 10 years off, but I agree that the quality is pretty good.
@@skeeter197140 It's an upload from one of the DVD releases.
I loved this show back in the day you felt rich have showtime and the movie channel!
2:01 perfect pair.
RIP, Super Dave Osborne 🙏🏽
The 1980’s were cool slice of Americana I knew a old lady who’s parents were born into slavery! I knew a lot of people whose towns had horse and buggy and blacksmiths. People who fought in WW1, WW2 and Korea and Vietnam. People from USSR, civil rights marches. As a kid their story were golden!
This comedy shows is from that. I feel sorry for kids today, they haven’t a clue 🤔😁 This show was gold! Better than SNL back then, unless Joe Piscopo and Eddie were killing it 🤣
Great Canadian comedy
I L🌹Ve your profile photo 😏
Showtime should put it back on tv
What would bizarre 2024 consist of? Oh my bad only fans and snow flake viewers
In Michigan this was on UHF Channels as a kid
Wow really? Well I can sure tell that you were outside the Bible belt. Down here in southern Ohio it only showed on Showtime and only very late at night. The good church ladies couldn't have our young minds filled with this smut. My sisters and I would lay quietly in our beds until we were sure our parents were asleep then we would sneak down and turn the TV on real low and sit real close to it, in the dark.
This so called "Miss Lady of the Evening" sketch is another one of Byner's "BIZARRE-ness."
jasminne MacDonald
Knight Knight Knight
That sketch is comedy gold!!
Better than all the shit now.
I like the theme tune
John Byner was like the American Benny Hill.
Is this program where Super Dave Osborne actually began? I loved Super Dave!
He was the producer before he became Super Dave. The show was created on the CTV network in Toronto in the late 1970's with an all-Canadian cast, aside from star John Byner, and producer/announcer Super-Dave-What's-His-Name?
Yes, the original Super Dave skietch is him being hit by a pile driver & thus creating the iconic "head on shoes" image. . .
Super Dave was a sketch long before Bizzare.
checks all the boxes lol lmao
1:19 Tyrion Lannister is so young here! 😮
IS THAT REALLY HIM ...I had to replay it!
It's not Peter Dinklage, it's Mark Parr. They just look similar :)
@@thevoyager2382 true because he would have been 14 years old possibly if that was him which is not.
15:13. I believe that's 'Mandy' from best of Bizarre uncensored season 1 and 2 episode 7. end of 1, start of 2
Huh?
@@r.brookswilliams7476 Once upon a time (actually mere months ago) the "Best Of Bizarre" series was up on youtube. I think it had 7 volumes 8 or 9 episodes long. Also obviously was incorrect on the identification.
Thanks for the clarification, Jimmy.@@jimmyjhonson23
sure is.
what’s Mandy’s or Trixies her real name?
The Bigot Family actually shows how awful prejudice is. "All in the Family" looked at this as well - in a different way of course.
Network television in Canada in the '80s airing at 9 p.m. Fridays with no
restrictions or stupid messages about possible nudity or violence beforehand.
Was that Peter Dinkilage?
I believe it was
Thx.
more!!!!!!
RIP Super Dave.
Trixie LaRoche in zero gravity FTW. . .
BABU !!! 😁
They need to do a lady of the evening in real life
15:10
16:10
Who was that topless woman at the very beginning
your mom. JK lol hahaha
No idea who it is.
Laura dickson
omg lolll
Does anyone know who played Trixie LaRoche? :)
rip bob Bob Einstein
i thought this was canadian ?
Isn't that Babu?!
This is awful! The only one of these ethnic jokes that should be allowed is the Irish ones! they are still fair game!
lol that's Babu from Seinfeld!! 5:25
That's rather ignorant of you, @CC C ...tsk, tsk.
You should write an angry letter! @CC C
RIP Super Dave :(
