    What an idiotic comment "You don't expect a plane that leaves Britain.....this to happen". This can happen to ANY plane ANYWHERE, flying to France, Spain, or Singapore. Turbulence happens and that is why you are advised to KEEP YOUR SEATBELT ON THROUGHOUT THE FLIGHT". Where on earth did they find that naive presenter?

    The reason people are injured during turbulence is that many halfwits undo their seatbelts as soon as the seatbelt light goes off - if you need to, just ease the tension a bit, but at least you will be held in your seat if you hit bumpy air. Its a cruel world.

    • @kyaume21
      @kyaume21 24 дні тому +11

      Indeed, British flights are immune to turbulence - or to the laws of physics for that matter. And what has the amount of stuff in the overhead lockers to do with it? Was there any suggestion that the deceased was hit by a loose item? The person who died probably crashed into the ceiling of the plane, not minding the warning about seat belts.

      Is turbulence not linked to climate change?

    • @t._._._.
      @t._._._. 24 дні тому

      @@Sam-mi6cz Nope. 'Climate change' is a narrative; the climate changes by the second and the earth is in one of the coldest periods experienced during the last 10,000 years. Solar radiation causes turbulence, and the last dozen years or so has seen radiation decreasing.

    Clear Air Turbulence will increase as the climate warms up, a recent study of data covering the last 40 years by scientists at the university of Reading point to the fact that injury causing CAT has increased by 55%.

    • @t._._._.
      @t._._._. 24 дні тому +1

      The reason there are more reported incidents is the increase in number of flights. Solar radiation which caues turbluence is actually lower now than the last dozen years or so, so that argument does not stand.

    Of course, all these climate alarmists have conveniently forgotten to mention that it is the start of the monsoon season across India and much of Southeast Asia! Extremely turbulent air due to high humidity and temperatures, leading to major thunderstorms, particularly at high altitudes; but never mind, their narratives must be pushed' regardless!
