@@OldManPhil it's really fun, but it gives some unfortunate people like me headaches. On the upside, all 3ds Models have a slider to reduce or turn off the effect.
Honestly, I think that preference of playing on the 3ds vs emulation is less about actually preferring one over the other, and more about the particular game itself. At least for those of us that emulate. Like, a game like Monster Hunter 4U is amazing when emulated. It does everything exactly as I'd expect, and it all works with a basic controller. But any game that relies heavily on 3ds specific features, like 3d, touch controls, etc, are just easier to play on the 3ds itself. And I think most of us that emulate are more than willing to just play that way if it's genuinely better. After all, most people that emulate do so because it's generally just better - better framerate, better resolution, choice of controller, etc. So if a game is actually worse when emulated there's really no reason to emulate it over playing it on the original hardware. Edit: Great video btw! My modded 3ds is probably my favorite modded device, barring maybe my modded Switch.

Also the extra power. Being able to clock it from 268 up to I think 890 or something plus the l2 cache enabled is big improvement. Most of all theres an additional cpu core available that used to run a app that was never really used to begin with. The arcade cab emulation is amazing. "Quake all 3" and half life ports run at 60+. What is sad is Nintendo handicapped the x1 in the switch considerably. All v2 switches also have a very noticeable increase in memory bandwidth which is the switches biggest flaw is ram speed.

bro you can do it alone, you dont need anyone to do
Maybe if you are a computer genious or very tech savy but modding a console isn't for the faint hearted if I attempted it I would break the device.
@@karlgreene2177 no, i failed to mod it more than 5 times, when I found a Good tutorial I finally moded it.
Well I must confess I don't have a 3DS but want one hoqever I do have a Wii U so want to mod that.
@@karlgreene2177 oh I don't have a Wii U or switch
as you cant buy games from nintendo for the 3ds theres no reason not to mod the system.i modded my 2ds and 3ds last night
mfs be like "bro you should mod your consoles, there are so many reasons to do so" and then their reasons are: piracy, piracy, piracy, piracy, piracy and piracy
Seems kinda pointless unless I can’t steal literally every Nintendo 3DS title and have it run (relatively) perfectly from an SD. Buttons & Themes are cool, but are they an hour of messing with my computer and rewatching how to mod guides over & over cool? Nah.
I don’t even know where I’d go for perfect ROM’s of all the DS library. And I kinda doubt they all work.
You actually can run every single 3ds title on a modded 3ds unless it's a new 3ds only title in which case having a modded new 2ds or new 3ds is your best bet overall
For ds I'd say 90 percent of them run perfectly with twilight menu and for the rest getting a ds flash cart will let them run perfectly
And you can go to vimms and cd romance to get most ds roms and English parched Japanese roms as well
@@Goldfire345 gotcha, I’m in luck, I’ve got a New 3DSXL. The last model released. Sorry I’m not terribly familiar with modding, what’s a flash cart? Like a blank game cartridge with all the ROMs? I buy em & format myself or I buy a complete product?
@@Ichabod_Jericho if you've heard of an everdrive it's a cartridge with a micro SD card in it that you can take out, put into your computer, load up with your roms and play them on the real hardware.
It's basically another way to have your whole library with you without having to carry a bunch of carts around. The issue with ds and 3ds flash carts
Also It's aright if you're not that familiar we all have to start somewhere.
"Yes, I have it moded"
imagine having an OG 3ds and not having mario kart 7 to mod it 💀💀
Anemone is pronounced "Aner-moan"
A-nem-a-nee
🤓you should not mod your 3ds because its bad
This is illegal
I mean, so is jaywalking, but does anyone really care?
no.
Off topic but don't play DS games on a 3ds! They look terrible. Play DS games on a DS if you can.
Hold down start or select when the ds game is loading to play in the original resolution
@@Fernando17892 duh! Obviously you can do that, if still looks terrible.
No, You Should Not Pirate A 3DS.This is completely illegal.
l bozo
Boohoo, not like your getting arrested
Why is everyone okay with this? It's forcing a console to do something it was never meant to, and doing stuff not everyone can do, that's cheating!
Don’t be uptight
Lol not our fault Nintendo shut down the only way to get games.
@@thespamtonchannel8469 Retro Game stores exist
@@coastaku1954Some older games are expensive. Like really expensive. I'm not gonna spend 150$+ just for the Pokémon Black 2 game cartridge.
I’m not spending $600 on a retro game. Some of the digital games you quite literally can’t get any other way. Cope and seethe.
im the guy for everyone else that already has one and uses kartdlphax to the people that updated
Well with the Internet going away for 3ds getting the update to play together won't be a problem. So the only reason we'll get the update is if it will add stuff
