We all know the GR Corolla exists but this Corolla Hatchback has really shaped up to be a nice-looking car. Actually, Toyota has really been killing it in the looks department with many of their recent releases. I drive and love my Toyota and there was a time when no Toyota appealed to me. Sadly is it looking like Honda is going in the opposite direction. Thanks for the video.
That 3 cyclinder GX Corolla is a $50,000 car at least that's what they go for/asking price around here. Not worth it 🤢🤮as you get less amenities, stripped car that costs alot more 🤑$$$$ and only getting 20 MPG. My corvette gets better mileage than that and is much faster.
@@microminiskirt Enjoy that Vette especially if it is a manual. The GR Corolla (sorry for the previous typo) has my attention because of its all-wheel drive system, quality 6-speed manual, small and light compact size, and the fact you can still carry 4 other people and cargo. All this combined with the fact is one of the few Toyota-engineered and built sports cars to hit the market and you have something special on your hands. I was fortunate enough to buy a 2019 Honda Civic Type R at MSRP. Right now, the car is worth more than what I bought it for, not that I am ever going to sell it. This car is a keeper and makes doing everyday tasks an experience. I see the GR Corolla as doing the same thing. BTW, I am going to hold out and not pay over MSRP. With that said, I am really interested in a C7 Corvette Grand Sport in a manual.

@@malcolmar Whatever you do don't pay above MSRP 🤑if you are dealing with the stealerships. I got the XSE 2023 Corolla HB USA market made in Japan. I got it because of the styling and I can do Costco shopping in it. The C-6 Corvette has alot of room in it for a 2 seater but it isn't that good for Costco runs. The C-7 that you would like to have has an extra wide body and this C-7 has less interior space, more blind spots as there is less rear window. C-7 is more expensive to maintain. The C-6 on the other hand has more interior/cargo space with the traditional style double bubble tail lamps unlike the Camaro taillamps in the C-7. The C-6 has more visibility in the rear because of more glass and it wraps around the rear.
Really an excellent idea and review. I think Toyota did really good on the lighting on all the important areas. Would be nice to have a bit better in the footwells and in the cargo but I think that can be solved with something aftermarket without too much money. The headlight performance really looks good to be honest. I think about how horrible were the stock headlights on my F150 and those look like old lanterns compared to the modern white LEDS here. I was looking at a review of a Kia Forte GT and the placement of the rear turn lamps is very low and I think harder to notice than the design used by Toyota.
I love the 2023 gauge cluster. I wonder if it would fit on my 2022 6MT?
If you cover those factory white foglights with yellow Lamin-x film, will it increase the illumination on fogs and protect fogs from debris/ gravel from cracking/getting damaged??
Or is the Luminex yellow film just for cosmetics?
I got a question about the front dome lights. Do both the passenger side and driver's side have 2 bulbs each or does the passenger side have 2 and just 1 for the driver's side?
Does anyone know if it is possible to mount the 2023 ceiling light on the 2020?

The factory fogs on the XSE are barely noticeable as the tiny fog lights are too low and close to the ground.
Is this the Inferno Red? I'm planning to buy a 2024 with this color but I'm not sure yet.

It depends on what you are used to. If you normally drive an SUV or truck then yes it will seem low to the ground. If you drive a car then this should be quite normal.

The LED interior lighting is PATHETIC. Got to get some better and brighter LED's for the whole interior and the back hatch too. Perhaps getting the lighter white interior might help but then it will show dirt and smudges more easy.
I think the interior light is good
@@toyota420xp Have you tried the light in the rear cargo compartment of the hatch? Or the roof light in the middle of car? Same goes for the front map passenger and driver lights. The are just to dim to see anything.
I'm glad I have a source I can go to for installing high end LEDS. You would be surprised as their is a day n night difference. Yes very $$EXPENSIVE$ but worth it.
There definitely not amazing or the best, but atleast it does some job in the night , specially on the car control buttons
How bright do they really need to be? At least they aren't yellow halogen inside like before the 2023 refresh.
I had some leftover 194 LEDs from my previous vehicle, took 3 of them and swapped out the halogens on the license plate and in the cargo area in 5 minutes to eliminate all yellow halogen light. Easy peasy.
Just when I was going to get a brand new Corolla with a manual, and Toyota gets rid of it 🥲
Just get an automatic. 10 years later you will realize how stupid it was to look for manual.
