    I have a full body red light (830nm near infrared). I've got a background of M.E/CFS, EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome), PTSD and then got Long Covid on top. Does red light help? Yes, definitely for me. But I personally did find I need the light on my whole body, especially my spine. Partial coverage doesn't have the same effect. Full body red light for me does provide an immediate boost in energy, cognition and can (sort of) mitigate PEM (post exertion malaise). I can't offer a recovery story yet because I'm still wading through the weeds of Long Covid symptoms. I regard this as being part of my long term treatment arsenal rather than a solitary cure.

    Wish there was a more affordable option for the Neuronic. 3k is way to steep for the average consumer

    About myself;
    Hi my name is Tattie and I want to talk about the science behind fasting.
    I myself have been fasting regularly for more than 25 years.
    At the time I was what you call a "psychonaut" and the only reason I didn't eat was because of the spiritual properties that fasting brings.
    About 20 years ago I started assisting in ceremonies that then took place every two weeks, I made sure that the day of the ceremony was day 4 of the fast because that is where I experience the first peak during the fast.
    In that peak experience I was able to ignore all the resistance you can experience at the beginning of a ceremony.
    At one point I started fasting after a ceremony, first 7 days then 11 days and then from ceremony to ceremony and then as long as I could keep up, my longest fasting period was 25 days.
    The most interesting thing about it was why I broke the fast.
    You come to such deep insights of desires and needs within yourself because you have no other way to go than to come to yourself.
    The reasons why I fast now are different, it's not about how long I can fast anymore, now I still eat 1 day, 5 to 10 times a month and then I do a short fast of 2 or 3 days and deepen in the why of every resistance I experience in it.
    The science behind fasting. Through the eyes of an non-expert.
    The composition of the human body;
    %
    Hydrogen 63
    Oxygen 26
    Carbon 9
    Nitrogen 1.25
    Calcium 0.25
    Phosphate 0.19
    Sodium 0.04
    Iron 0.00004
    To support the fasting days and prevent headaches, dizziness and weakness, it is recommended that you start the day by dissolving a little of all 6 electrolytes in a cup of water. The 6 electrolytes are;
    Sodium chloride (preferably Himalayan salt)
    Potassium
    Calcium
    Magnesium (as oil on the skin)
    Phosphorus
    Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
    Electrolytes play a role in the conduction of nerve impulses, the contraction of muscles, blood pressure, fluid balance and the regulation of pH in your body.
    Drink +_ 200ml of water every 60 minutes, do that together with a short meditation and Pranayama breathing exercises.
    If you are thinking about doing a really long fast (7 days or more), I recommend that you also take vitamins D3 -K2 - B12 and C along with carbon and iron every day.
    Burning while fasting;
    For the first 12 hours, the body burns the glucose from the food you last ate.
    When you are healthy, your blood sugar drops to around 3.5 mmol / l or 63 mg / dl during fasting, while in people with insulin resistance it rises.
    Make sure your blood sugar stays above 3.1 mmol/l or 56 mg/dl and below 9.9 mmol/l or 178 mg/dl or break the fast.
    For people with diabetes 2, taking medication or who are seriously ill, it is always wise to fast shorter on a regular basis.
    From the 6th to the 32nd hour, you burn glycogen, which is the stored glucose in your muscles and liver, and your insulin level continues to drop.
    As soon as glycogen decreases the body looks for other fuel and switches to gluconeogenesis and peaks after two days, then decreases rapidly for 6 days and then decreases slowly and stabilizes at +_ 3 grams per hour from day 16 onwards.
    In gluconeogenesis, the glucose no longer comes from carbohydrate sources, but from amino acids (from protein combustion) and glycerin (from fat combustion), but especially from pyruvic acid (the simplest keto acid).
    Glucose is necessary for your brain, your red blood cells and for part of your kidneys (renal).
    The body has a smart solution to prevent muscle breakdown by burning protein for amino acids as much as possible.
    1) The body starts to burn more and more fat which stabilizes after 8 days and after 3 days almost 100% of the energy for the muscles, liver and tissue is from fat burning and Ketosis.
    A person has on average between 100,000 and 300,000 calories stored in his fat. 2) As gluconeogenesis decreases, the body produces more and more ketones, which stabilize after 8 days.
    In the beginning you pee out the ketones (measurable in your urine) and after +_ 3 days the body learns to make better use of them (measurable in the blood) and from about day 5 the brain takes +_ 75% of the energy from ketones.
    3) Burning of excess skin, dead cells and protein that float around as “waste” in a cell or somewhere in the body.
    4) From 12 hours, growth hormones increase and together with adrenaline and cortisol it drives fat out of your tissue and stabilizes the glucose in the blood.
    After 7 days, a woman produces 1300% and a man 2000% more growth hormone.
    5) From the 4th day, measurable by DNA markers (it is often claimed that this starts earlier, but there is no evidence for this), the Autophagy starts the process of recycling at the micro biological level and even recycles viruses and harmful bacteria, promotes degradation and building the mitochondrial, works closely with the growth hormones to prioritize the protein used for tissue building instead of fuel, repairs cells, DNA and RNA, makes new brain cells, unlocks hidden DNA and even makes stem cells, this is done step by step the longer you fast and ultimately the body must first use the reserves in the spinal cord, which happens between the 17th and 23rd days of fasting.
    The mental, physical and genetic switch is not always easy and on different days you will find it difficult, for example after the 2nd day when the glycogen decreases and your body is not yet used to the glucose not coming from a carbohydrate source or around day 7 when even gluconeogenesis slows down and the metabolism has to switch to fat burning and ketones and further on before the 15th day where the genetic production of other hormones takes place.
    And as crazy as it sounds, in those difficult moments you can drink a cup of black coffee without sugar or sweeteners without breaking the fast.
    And more than a month is also unknown territory for me.
    Hunger comes and hunger goes, make sure you create a new fixed daily rhythm and move, it helps your body and makes the switch easier.
    Keep your daily rhythm as strict as possible especially when fasting is going super crazy and you feel great and invincible.
    Remain aware of how special it all is and do not fall into the feeling of being taken for granted, even if it feels that way.
    Forget about the scale because it certainly doesn't matter, only a change in your lifestyle can permanently change your weight whether you fast or not Break the fast.
    Anyone can fast, only a wise person can break the fast.
    The word breakfast comes from break a fast, you eat dinner, fast for about 12 hours and in the morning you start with your breakfast.
    For a short fast, it makes little difference what you start when you eat again.
    Every 3 days your intestinal flora renews and all those harmful sugar-eating bacteria are less after a fast, inflammation in the intestinal wall gets time to heal and what they call "leaky gut" (that too large nutrients pass through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream include gluten) also recovers slowly.
    When you start eating good fats for 3 or more days first, for example full-fat organic yogurt with linseed oil, Ghee or organic butter in your coffee or tea or avocado, then wait at least 2 hours before introducing your new eating pattern into your life .
    When you fast for 7 days, all white blood cells are recycled and you have a completely new immune system.
    After 7 or more days of fasting, it is best to use the first good fat meal before going to bed so that you can go to sleep afterwards, in the morning you do the same as after 3 days of fasting.
    The metabolism slowly switches back to glucose and your insulin level rises, give yourself time and eat light for a few days, such as yogurt, salads, fermented foods such as sauerkraut, bone broth and steamed vegetables or soup, bee pollen and kelp.
    In the next phase you add eggs, fish, chicken and lamb, then you try to eat 3 times a day and no snacks, like we used to do.
    The Ketosis is maintained for a long time and the Autophagy stops the moment you eat protein.
    If it doesn't work out so well with fasting, don't worry and try again next time.
    Tatamanda.

    At $4,995.00 for the Neuroradiant, they are priced well beyond the reach of most people. I am a person who suffers with PTSD and I am not getting any younger (55 years old.) and I also believe that I have a problem with S.A.D. as I can tell I am more prone to deeper depressions during low light levels and this seems to possibly be triggered by low energy levels. I would be willing to test their helmet during the darker months of the year if they would be willing to loan me a helmet.

    Could you make a video about making music with your brainwaves? Like, computer generative music? It could be any medium, not only music, but whatever kind of feedback you'd think of. Info on making DIY neurofeedback is hard to find on web, if possible at all. For instance, I'd personally like to set up a feedback linked with my gamma waves increase/decrease :)
