Don't think I've ever seen Robbo do a 'Mr Angry' at the table...he seems to go 'poker face' and internalise any anger and disappointment. Brilliant temperament.. Great guy!😀😀
I somehow feel that Bingham legitimately missed the second pot (black), but wanted to blame it on that photographer just to avoid the embarrassment of missing an easy black
In disc golf, at the 2019 USDGC, Eagle McMahon punched the ground after missing a putt and broke his hand. He was still able to play the next (final) day but could only throw forehands, and fell from lead card (top 4) to I think 9th. So yeah, it's definitely possible to actually hurt yourself that way.
I don't know how these guys keep their cool. I've stopped playing at pubs snooker/pool/darts when I've got super frustrated or angry just to cool down. How they keep professional and gentlemanly conduct is 99.9% of the time is absolutely admirable
It's great seeing all the new players pulling the same bratty shit. They dont realise the only reason Ronny gets to do it is because he has the skill to back it up
he struggles to contain his emotions, I think that's the issue... A lot of players with a good amount of mental fortitude will find it easy to get under his skin, and when he's flustered he's a bit prone to losing a few frames on the bounce.
Yes..all it's about between him and Ronnie..since he'd losed to ronnie.even he won over ronnie at the world championship.but he still failed to the next stage against other players.bad cursed for him.his anger was influenced his performance
I've played pool leagues for almost 30 years and one thing I always find hilarious is when there is ANY interruption in your game or shot it's on the shooter to regroup/refocus and reapproach the shot with the same focus and intent. Not use a miss to dole out blame or frustration. This almost never helps and is a sure sign of weakness in your game!
100% agree, the fact he stood up, went back down and composed himself, meant that the distraction is moot! These players have played in pubs/clubs with people getting drunk, they can pull themselves together from a bloody phone ringing, if they are honestly that distracted by it AFTER it has happened (i have seen Ronnie go sit down loads until movement stops on other tables etc... but then comes back and pots) they aren't in the right head space for the shot/match anyway.
Snooker players are such perfectionists. They could be 10-0 in front, then miss an easy pot and still get just as angry as if they hadn't been able to pot one ball all day.
The most joyful moments in professional snooker, for me, it's when the ref looks for troublemakers in the crowd. It really gives some elementary school vibes, and I'm not the one who'll be in trouble!
Ronnie does seem to have some really good matches against Shaun. Shaun is rarely intimidated by him. Mark Selby and Mark Allen don't get intimidated by Ronnie neither.
What was that argue between Ronnie and Ali Carter about? Sadly, I could not really understand anything because the audio quality was pretty bad. Can someone help please?
I suppose it's decided that the table is sturdy enough that the vibrations from an impact doesn't influence the shot enough to be more than a negligible difference.
I remember once I was on for my first 70 break and I missed a straight forward blue. I threw my cue across the snooker hall and it hit someone on the head on another table and snapped the cue. I was rightly banned.
Can someone explain why the shot at 1:14 made him angry? It seems like the black ball goes in, correct? Wouldn’t this be favourable, or am I missing something. I only know basic snooker rules, so why does he get angry when he pots the black ball?
He's not angry. He's feeling the pressure and possibly doubting himself so he's extremely relieved when that black goes in and he wins the frame. When he shouts "Come on!!" he's just spurring himself on. He knows he's got a fight on his hands.
Snooker Planet I wanted to upload a few football matches but found out I needed a license or permission, how do you do it without either? And even if I did get a license or permission I wouldn’t be able to monetise my channel. Any tips you could give me?
I'm a huge fan of Ronnie the snooker player, the way he plays...but definitely not a fan of his character. He's truly a very difficult person to be around. The way he treats some of the referees is just not acceptable. He knows he's the reason people come to see a snooker match and he thinks that gives him the right to treat people like shit. If I was the referee on the situation with the cue ball I would have just said well then if you gonna be like that then the cue ball is where it should and play from that position end of and if you are not happy about it tough luck! What I'm getting from this is that most snooker players have maybe one moment where they're frustrated, and O'Sullivan has maybe one where he's not.
Very rare that any player gets openly angry in fairness.
I've played pool leagues for almost 30 years and one thing I always find hilarious is when there is ANY interruption in your game or shot it's on the shooter to regroup/refocus and reapproach the shot with the same focus and intent.
