in my opinion people are experiencing weird dreams because the quarantine radically changed our routines and the brain just isn't used to it and just transforms the negativity we all experience everyday into bad dreams
Yep I study dreams in my free time, and this sounds about right. Our subconscious feelings directly feed into how our dreams turn out, which basically means when your feeling negitive your dreams are going to reflect that most likely. The reason people are starting to remember their dreams is because of a mix of large amounts of awareness from fear, and sudden wakeups.
@@equidos9288 Yup, when I was a kid, I had frequent night terrors, and my dad told me to fall asleep with cartoons on to keep from having nightmares, cause it would keep me in a good mood as I fell asleep. Never had nightmares when the tv was on.

Im in a psychology major, and in a psychoanalytic theory dreams are where people's unconscious come to life. Things that we didn't want to admit to ourself, our deepest desire, our worse fear/ memory that we repressed. And in another psychoanalytic theory, humans have a collective unconscious. Where the same species have the same dream. Carl jung believed that those dreams come from the human instinct. That being said, with all the covid-19 mess probably a lot of people r scared that the end of the world might happen. So this might be the result. Anyways, a proper psychological research isn't supposed to be like that. No informed consent. No debriefing. There are too many errors for it to be conducted by a proper scientist/psychologist. Ps. Sorry in advance if there is a spelling error, english is not my first language.
Yeah, it's way too shady to be legit. Even if the methodology wasn't screwy, usually they'd be tied to some university or research organization, and you'd be able to get info on it. Someone is probably using it for sketchy business practices or their own purposes, whatever that may be.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone ever remember having normal dreams? If I've ever had one, it isn't one I recalled the next morning. Every dream I've ever remembered was strange and vivid... that's what made them memorable. It kind of makes sense that you'd only ever remember having strange dreams.
Yeah, I remember a lot of them but one sticks with me. My brother and I were in his old truck driving down the road late at night. I couldn't see much outside the truck window but I had the overall feeling it was fall and chilly. We started talking about life in general. Then he started to apologize for something but we were cut off by a black blur crashing into the windshield. I had that dream a year ago and remember it as I dreamt it last night. A week after this dream my brother hit a huge buck totaling his truck.

Calling a late hours of the night trying to wake you out if your sleep was a tactic to make people dream more. When you go to bed and wake up briefly 2-3 hours later, you're more likely to have dreams when you go back to sleep. It's a great way to induce lucid dreams.

The whole september 5 thing is so embarrassingly, transparently, a desperate advertisement for an arg. This makes it even sadder - they tried the exact same thing in 2015 and it flopped. They’re just using the same formula again to see if they get more attention.
@Sammy Ligma it stands for alternate reality game. They're games that tell a story for the players in which the game play is often spread across multiple mediums. Many nowadays are on sites like Twitter, instagram, and other social media sites. Lots of them tend towards creepy and uncanny, but they don't have to. Halo 2 had an advertising ARG called I love bees.
I called (didn't leave any message, hung up right after listening to the "...at the tone" message) and right after hanging up I received a text message from that number that says "Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality?" CREEPY! Also, "9 goeh 5 jit" is Min Nam (also called Hokkien), a Sinitic language ("dialect" of Chinese) native to Southern China and widely spoken in Taiwan and parts of Southeast Asia. Surely that's a clue.
btw that message you received is really important since some of the people who called them, never received one. if this comment is true, you should save the convo and upload it to some forums that are talking about the 'Dream Survey'
@@ochiai3 I took a screencap and will do that. After that I called a second time and did leave a message but did not receive any kind of response. I tried to goad another response out of them by responding "define 'reality'" but still nothing.

yea true and my nightmares aren’t typical nightmares they’d just be emotionally intense or something i didn’t want happening / with people i didn’t like which made my cry in the dream or angry which is why i considered them nightmares
I’ve had strange, vivid dreams all my life. They got crazier when I was put on antipsychotics. Dreaming has been one of my favorite things. Even when I have a nightmare I like to process it to see what it’s telling me.
I would suggest you learn lucid dreaming. It lets you become conscious in the dream to try and get more out of it. From what I've heard, you can actually try and talk to your parts of your mind and learn about it. Also, you can have superpowers and that's kinda cool.

That automated recording isn't text to speech it's an actual human voice - you can hear the speaker taking a breath in between sentences. Just a minor note lol.
Actually when a person breathes it can be recorded as well.
@@ItzMeKiyo ...yes I know that would be audible on a recording of a person speaking, my point was that it's a recording of a real live human being, not a text to speech program.
Also note that the accent changes. The speaker on the other end went from a British accent to a Chicago/North Dakota accent.

in my opinion people are experiencing weird dreams because the quarantine radically changed our routines and the brain just isn't used to it and just transforms the negativity we all experience everyday into bad dreams
my routines havent changed so ig thats why im fine

Thank you for the explanation

I recall some normal-ish ones. Being at work, going to the store, even playing video games lol.
the only normal dream I’ve ever had was my middle school crush saving me from a dude throwing water bottles at me.

Calling a late hours of the night trying to wake you out if your sleep was a tactic to make people dream more. When you go to bed and wake up briefly 2-3 hours later, you're more likely to have dreams when you go back to sleep. It's a great way to induce lucid dreams.
