Did you tone her hair after you rinsed out the root colour? Or did you tone it while the roots were processing? Also what did you use to tone the ends?
GREAT explaination. I lovw that with your video. you don't just talk, you show the whole process with the explaining in a way so a new or unconfident hairdresser can start to understand which products to use when and why use that particular colour. Well done
As a cosmetologist watching this bc I’m about to use redken shades EQ for the first time & I’m trolling for info lol… Your Absolutely beautiful work stopped me in my tracks! Love how it turned out 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
did you do more highlights first or just did the shadow root on the existing highlights (in the before picture)? you mentioned teasy lights in the beginning but didn't show it in the video?
How did you get that? From doing that? I’m so confused. You basically got my dream hair style but I didn’t see you add any highlights. Because I’m so confused, I need some advice immediately. So for the shadow root, does that mean you can get the perfect shade of roots that you actually really want. My actual roots are not what I like. I love this shade of roots.
Gorgeous . If I don’t have a license, what toners would you recommend for highlights and root tap? In between jobs need to save money, but actually enjoy doing my hair- just need to get the root tapping toner brand
I use Shades EQ or Loreal Dialight Milkshake range demi usually; but if I am just doing my hair on a whim and need something asap, then I have found the Chi Ionic Shine Shades to be the most similar to Redken Shades EQ. You can get that line at Sally's. If they don't have the exact level/tone you need, then go down a level (get a 6 instead of 7), and get a bottle of the clear to mix in it. That will bring the 6 to a level 7. :)
Hey girl you did such a beautiful job! Quick question babe… after you did the shadow root and then added the conditioner to her ends to act as a filler/ to protect it staying bright before you combed everything together when you were finished and it came time to tone it while her root shadow was still processing did you rinse out the conditioner before you added the toner to her blonde or did you just add the toner over that conditioner, let process, and then rinse root shadow, conditioner/ toner out?
She used 3 toners but didn't specify the amounts of each. Redken shades EQ is a 1:1 ratio with their 7-volume processing solution but some stylists will do 1oz of one color, .5 of another and so on. I am in love with the root color she did and also wish to know he ratios of each 😢
The picture in the beginning showed she used the liquid but didn't share the ratios. I wish I know also because I am in love with this shadow root color.
i see you use shades ? i bought actual color to do this will it work or are those the same i’m not licensed but can’t afford to get done professionally
I attended a redken shades eq class by redken and learned it's best to apply it after shampoo And condition the hair, apply to the damp hair after rinsing the conditioner.

She wasn't being ugly. She was given corrupt constructive criticism. For what people pay to have their hair done, I wouldn't wanna hold the bowl. I agree it isn't professional unless you're doing hair out of a back room in a trailer park.
@@cassiejo0012Unless it was a family member or a friend, and the room was empty, yeah, I’d ask them to hold some foils for me, but never the bowl. We have carts for that 👀 but idk I’ve only been doing hair 22 years LOL
It may have been a friend. Or maybe she said she would hold the bowl? Isn’t the video about the hair coloring process? I’m sure as a professional, she does not care what people think about someone holding a bowl. I swear comments are so ignorant and unnecessary!
Wow. Are you paying her for a consult???? She gets paid as a color stylist to do that. Take the info she shared for free and be grateful. Or pay to go to beauty school or a consultation 🙃
4:22 conditioner on the ends while doing shadow root is amazing idea!
keeps the ends bright :D.
Did you tone her hair after you rinsed out the root colour? Or did you tone it while the roots were processing? Also what did you use to tone the ends?
Thank you for sharing the conditioner and rolling comb tricks! will definitely use that next time!
I’m so glad I came across this video! Also, it’s great to hear an accent like mine in a hair video ❤️

Did you use equal parts of the SEQ colors?
This is amazing. I need this on my hair, yesterday!

Hi! Looks awesome!
What product did you use to shampoo the lightner out?
Thanks so much!:)
beautiful! Which shades did you use for the ends?
That’s my only question “tone the ends like normal,” does that mean same toner combo or a 9V or 10P?
Amazing results! You could be a celeb hair stylist!
Loved this demonstration beautiful color fantastic work 💜💜
You didn’t mention what you finished toning her blonde hair with???
What toner did you use and did you mix it with clear or shades?
Cool, sometimes I put toner first and then I apply root shadow together. Easy for transitions and delete demarcation
Love this! Did you use the liquid shades bottles or the cream? And how did you mix?
The picture in the beginning showed she used the liquid but didn't share the ratios. I wish I know also because I am in love with this shadow root color.
What does ‘tone the ends like usual ‘ mean?
6N 7N 7P Shades EQ then on ends Toner 9N 9V
Your welcome !
Hey, thank you so much for the formulas, seriously, but what’s with the attitude? (You’re welcome!)
What did you wash her hair in at the start?
Thank you! Looks gorgeous too
These remind me a lot of PM Shines which is now just PM semi. This cannot used for grey coverage correct?
correct ! the NW will blend grey the best
Looks amazing!!💗
Girl you are so good!!!!!
where do you purchase your brushes/ hair brushes?
I just subscribed! Great videos!! I hope you keep the videos coming!
Thank you!! New videos coming very very soon!
What colors did you use for your toner
👋 Hey Girl, sending some love from Nashville ❣️
Hey , how long is a redken eq shadow staying on hair? Is it a temporary toon?
It is a demi-permanent toner so it washes out over time. You can always buy it in permanent but if you do your hair often demi/semi is the way to go.
What toner for ends?
Absolutely Gorgeous ❤
This was really easy and something I can do at home
Do you need to wash out all that conditioner first before you put the toner at the end? Thanks
Yes that's what the company Redken recommends, rinse the conditioner and then towel dry the hair apply the gloss on the damp hair
If I want the toner not to process as quick, I do not rinse the conditioner
Will this cover gray?
Looks gorgeous!
i see you use shades ? i bought actual color to do this will it work or are those the same i’m not licensed but can’t afford to get done professionally
eBay sells shades eq😂👍🏻
Found out recently
Your video popped up in my suggested videos to watch 😚 *new subscriber 🤩
Okay I've not read all your comments to see if you could tell in the beginning she looks damp and Ibeen told you're to do in dry hair?
I always do it on damp hair
What did u use to tone the bottom of the hair
My favorite formula - 9N/9V!
@@cheybbeauty thank you
I didn’t think Redken recommended Shades Eq on wet or damp hair, what is your opinion on that
I attended a redken shades eq class by redken and learned it's best to apply it after shampoo And condition the hair, apply to the damp hair after rinsing the conditioner.
Did you add any other color to the hair besides the roots?
no :)
Was the formula equal parts?
I live in East Texas...would love for you to do my hair!!! Are you anywhere near this vicinity????
Do amazing beer video I have seen 😍😍😍 please keep making videos 🥰
I just saw your video. superb how do you decide how much quantity for each toner.
Depends lol!
You’re amazing ❤️
Beautiful work🙌
O love the results 😍 what are the retio for this formula please 🙏
thanks! I honestly just eye ball everything! haha

She used #7N,7P, and 7AN?
She used 6n, 7n and 7p.
Did she mix those three colors together? I’m a lil confused when we said she used all three but didn’t show the mixing process?
maria sanchez 7N, 6N, 7P
Equal parts?
She mentioned in the comments she eyeballs it.@@stevenfitzpatrick5800

Redken!
Tease and lighten? As in teasing the hair in sections and adding lighter?
Yes!!

Hard to understand, lack of vouce enunciation!
What developer did you use with the toner? Would you use a 10 or a 20?
never use a 20 for toner!! I use a 7-10 volume never higher
shades eq has its own developer.
