- I hate Drama! Unfortunately, I got tangled in a web of lies, and accusations and slander that I need to address before it gets even more out of hand. I thought the Gold mining community was bad for it's drama, now I see it is nothing compared to the Crystal Hunting community. Here is the story of Dan, "Chuck" and "Harry".

Seeing all this and "chucks" stuff as well , it has never been clearer to me...and also how I was mislead by "harry" and I'm also now into a situation where he owes me money , has blocked me and sold/given his 50% of the claims i staked for "us" ... so its all pretty clear to me on this one ... Chin up brother ...Seems like there is alot of love out there for ya and many supportive people ...

Dan, I hope you see this. It is irresponsible for you to not file defamation lawsuits against this guy. By leaving him alone, you're leaving him empowered to victimize more people. YOU have the resources to go after this guy, YOU NEED TO DO IT.
I'm with them on that point. Toxic People only understand when there is a real threath to them and a law suit is the right one

Harry needs to be served with a cease & desist and sued for defamation, slander and harassment. Only way to deal with someone like that. I absolutely know it's not something a good person wants to do. Sometimes it's what needs to be done to shut them up. You keep doing you Dan. 😊
The lawyer suggested to just post our story, because this guy is homeless and has nothing, according to the Lawyer there is not much point at this time to take him to court. Even tho it is a slam dunk case.

He may be bitter because he has nothing and he may have nothing because he is bitter. It sure sounds like he is lashing out at people who were trying to be patient, understanding, and honest with him but instead he wants to blame them for his own misfortunes.

@@Danhurd such a suit wouldn't be for the financial payout, but to name and shame a person for their actions. To create public record of their dishonesty. Whether the upfront cost to do so is worth it is only up to you and your friend.

Don't underestimate anyone.
The problem with knowing him is you are focused on character when legal work is often misleading or easy to misunderstand. From an unbiased perspective, I do not support the high-school facebook victim tactic's Harry seem's familiar with. Sadly that's all that site is anymore. But I'm sure everyone has great product's to offer and face to face would have a much different interaction.
I've known Chuck for over 15 years and this is exactly what he pulls on every single person I have read all of the messages between Harry and him and there is so much run around it's not even funny I doubt any of you have known them this long or know as many people in their Community or have read all the messages so quit flapping your lips cuz all Chris does is burned everyone since this video has been made he's burned Dan as well

Chuck happens to be a friend of mine to. I grew up with him known him pretty much my whole life. Glad to hear there is more people on his side. Chuck has never been a thief and never will.

Hi Dan. I think a law suit is warrented to protect your name, which is your livelihood. You can then have that court finding to relieve concerns from your sponsors.

I have ran into this a lot with prospectors/miners, unfortunately. There are some out there with some serious mental issues, that is the only way I can think to explain it.
I get accused all the time of trying to "Claim Jump" someones claim by making a video about a historic mine. I calmly explain I was just filming the current state the mine is in after being abandoned for nearly 100 years, Nope I am there to STEAL IT.. Why would I make a video about the old mine and post it, if I am there to steal it?
Half the time I look up who owns the claim and they either USED to have the rights, or there is no one who currently has it... Just bizarre behavior. I feel for you Dan.
That's why the best strategy is to go in with a Chinese Communist company! Then if someone tries to attack you over the claim, you just send them to the organ-harvesting camps! PROBLEM SOLVED!! >:D

Gold fever= mining fever. People go nuts. I was hunting when a miner turned his dogs on me for being on a claim that was on public land. I yelled I would shoot if he does not call off his dogs. Turned out he was an old friend!
I am a retired Texas Peace Officer with 30 years of service. One of the things I learned a long time ago, there are two sides to every story. But there is only one set of facts and they are on your side. I have been a subscriber for several years now and we actually met a few years back. I believe you are a man of integrity and someone would have to come up with some awfully hard facts for me to change my opinion of you. I know it's hard when a scallywag questions your honor. It's hard to just let it go.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! Drama really sucks 😔 And threats and false accusations are NOT okay! I can really tell you’re not trying to feed into the drama but rather just sharing your side of the story. I agree it’s shitty, but necessary at this point.

Speaking from outside "the know": That was a really interesting story that helped me learn about claim ownership and the process to change that. This same exact story has many Chucks, Harrys, and Dans in so many industries and it's a real shame. I've seen it in my line of work as well, though with digital records so much more prevalent and available, it's happening less. I'm glad you presented all of the evidence from the backstory as well as your part in it. As someone who abhors drama to the point of changing lifestyles, this hit a chord with me. I'm glad you're past this now and got to take that deep breath at the end of the video. You were never at risk of losing my subscription because I love to watch a few videos of yours to relax, but you re-earned it for sure by giving a fact-based non-personal story about the wrong way and right way to do things. You've classified, panned, and struck a golden parable. Thank you :)
The crazy thing about this is how there are digital records, yet the guy still insists. The truth here is that Harry is an Extractor whose only real priority is to maximize how much benefit comes to him, and the usual self-respect and reason don't impede his extraction attempts like what happens with decent people.
My only advice to Dan is to cautiously stick to only provable facts. People like Harry are dangerous when given even a little bit of ammo.

I remember seeing someone blasting you on Facebook. When I saw it I thought it was a bunch of bs. My thought was, with the amount of claims and publicity you have, why would you get caught up in a scandal. Love your videos. Keep digging!
I may not be your biggest fan, but I have to say you’re a stand up guy that runs a stand up business. I ordered a bag of pay dirt that was lost. After 6 weeks we worked the insurance stuff together and you sent me another one that arrived. It was great. Two weeks later the original one showed up. I called and asked if you wanted me to send it back or pay for it. I was told the insurance already went through so take it as a two for one. You do good.

For what it's worth, Dan, I believe you. I have been following you for years, and never once have you ever given me the impression you wouldn't be 100% honest with us viewers on your UA-cam channel. I’m friends with the guy from the story. He is good people. He was working the mine to feed his family. He had everything invested in the mine. He cleared all the tunnels and did all the hard work. Dan came in and took it from under him. It’s a sad situation. Poor guy.

@@devinb5937 If the mine rights came up for sale, I hate to say it but the history on the land and work done on it really doesn't matter any longer as the land is set back to square one in the eyes of the law. I am truly sorry that it worked out the way it did for your friend, and I am sure your friend isn't happy about the way it turned out but the law set it up for sale and well Dan got it and that's the law. The past is just that, the past, I feel for your friend and the work he did but it's in the past now and it's time to move on. Dan is the legal owner of the property now and it's time to move on. Holding a grudge doesn't do anyone any good. Life sucks sometime form the lessons it teaches us, but we learn and move on.

Last time I checked you have to show improvements in a certain amount of time, if the gov official came in and could not find anyone or did not let the land owner know there would be a court case. Sounds like a serious case of some one is fabricating a stories. Dan followed the laws, your friend did not, or ignored "the Man" because "it is ma claim." and lost his claim. Dan Followed the Rules (Laws) and got the government to approve the claim. It may be a sad story but your friend is not telling you 100% of the truth or flat out lying. As Dan has stated he has all of the legal documents and is doing things to the letter of the law. Check your sources. not hearsay.

The guy doesn't have any assets and is mentally unwell. He's homeless (of his own choice).
A lawsuit would prove dan isn't lying, but going after the guy wont really make him stop probably.
Talk to your lawyer there are options. Cease and desist letter to start. Court orders with a retracted statements if it continues. Dan's character and personal image is his lively hood. "Harry" is attacking it. I wouldn't play around.
@@alexdrockhound9497 if he keeps doing it he will get sent to prison so to get those kind of people to stop legal action without any mentary gain can be the only way since you know the guy will break his court order to stop talking about it, it will just be a civil case at first but, I'm fairly certain it can devolve in to a criminal case eventually.

"PAID IN FULL" is one of the most legally binding statements a person can make. TF And as an edited side note, I have abandoned social media because it's too much of a fake face that gets easily manipulated. I've found that the true gems exist in my own life without the social media drama. My Grandfather told me at a young age something that stuck with me. He said " there's always 3 sides to a story, the sides of the 2 people involved, and the real truth." This was among many great life lessons I learned from that great man, but it stuck out to me, especially in this age. I don't know the other parties involved, but I'd be inclined to believe you, you always have great information and seem to be liked by many different people. I hope it all works out for you, and you're name is cleared. We have your back, keep up the good content!

But also, for people like me who do not know the details of prospecting, it is very interesting tot hear more about the legal issues around claims. I live in the Netherlands, we have no Crystal or goldmines. So for me it is an entirely new world you are introducing us to. Very much appreciated, the sharing of your enthousiasm and knowledge.

I'm not sure the USA has defamation laws as strong as in other countries... because of course first amendment rights to freedom of speech can interfere with prosecution.

One fine point on your end... it is hard to " Steal " a claim that goes to open claims. I would love to find out how that could potentially happen as I have started looking in to that process on past claims.

The lawyer suggested to just post our story, because this guy is homeless and has nothing, according to the Lawyer there is not much point at this time to take him to court. Even tho it is a slam dunk case.

'Harry' is homeless, and desperate. There are some very good indications he is mentally ill (from his own mouth - other sources). I think a better idea would be to see if there is some way to get him the help he clearly needs. Unfortunately, in our age of enlightenment, governments seem more interested in creating mental illness rather than treating it.
Sounds like this guy made some bad financial decisions after his was initially paid instead of own up to it he rather try to milk some money out of someone by stiring drama

I started using the internet in 1991. The problem with the internet is very little accountability. People believe they are anonymous and can say whatever they want. However, nobody is anonymous on the internet anymore. What is needed is to message to folks that you are accountable for your falsehoods and you are responsible for those statements to curb people from making stuff up.
It’s really a shame you have to deal with drama like this. You’d think as an adult life would be drama free, but your always gonna get people like that. Keep your chin up! You have a huge following, great vids!
