    Even though I had a very bad experience with ABA (and I'm still asking myself why after all the positive information I've read, plus the controversy surrounding ABA), you have very valuable information in your channel, as parents of an autistic child we tend to feel really lost and confused. Thank you.

    Wondering why you don't mention diet & nutrition, gut & brain connection. Yes every child is different with Autism & needs to be treated as such. I just feel this isn't talked about as much & really wish parents, doctors, etc.. Would get educated in the cause, not just the signs in Autism. Nutritional value could probably be a lot more beneficial for them & everyone else. Can you do a video on the value of nutrition, how certain foods such as dairy/gluten could be a major factor in Autism? Or anything on like it it...

      After I made this comment we started our son with. Dev Pediatrician. We tried 2 diff sleep meds and they effects were a nightmare and truly did give. Him very drugged effects but didn’t help him sleep any more than melatonin and Benadryl had done. He completely disregarded a stubborn pinworm infection as a cause for sleep. He had no opinion on cbd bc he didn’t know anything about cbd, or magnesium, or methylation. The only way for us from now on is functional medicine. Plenty of doctors for ASD do it virtually now so you can pick from the best.

    Have you ever seen a correlation to medication and regression? Our son was diagnosed in 2016 and reassessed in 2020. He has regressed but no one knows why. For example his academic level was reaching grade 3 and is now k-grade 1. But at school they don't do much cause his willingness and attention has regressed as well.
    Wondering if clonindine or sertraline or long term use of melatonin could cause this. No one knows why.

    • @marybarbera
      @marybarbera  3 роки тому

      There absolutely can be ! have they ruled out seizures? Sometimes these can cause regressions too. Or sometimes not appropriate programming can cause regressions too.
