I am a retired teacher. I had a 40 minute drive to work. When I would get about 10-15 minutes away from work, I would play this song, and if I timed it right, I would cruise into the parking garage as it ended. (I might have to repeat it!) No matter how I felt on any day, this was the perfect song to reach into my heart and call forth the spirit necessary to teach. Thank you, Luther Vandross; your Love Power lives on. They showed the video of Luther Vandross saying, "thank you for all the support", then singing "...when I say goodbye, it's never for long, cause I believe in the power of love". He was ill, but still sang beautifully. I dearly wish I have been in one of his concerts and met him. He's got the best voice of all times!

I remember this from our Elks Lodge, every weekend our resident DJ would pick a spot to play this and everybody in the bar would just break out singing this in unison, they all knew all the words, it was always like 6 mins of pure happiness and joy! Clapping and dancing...then itd go off and they'd start drinkin again lol. Fun times though!

Found that info for the April 9, 1991 date back in 2011 and added it to Wikipedia (before they banned me and took credit).. Glad to see that historical info spreads around with time and finds its way to more people, as I got it from an obscure newspaper in March 1991 reporting his upcoming new release.
This video was shot in March 1991 of course and song, recorded between November 1990 and January 1991.
