had a strange thought given what we are about to experience. i am thinking maybe we have a challenge where every source of energy (including oil, renewables, nuclear and more) has to compete with all of the others for leadership in energy in the next 100 years. each would get support to show how their products could support the needs of the US in an ever-increasing energy need. they would each enough support to show they can provide that energy by providing it safely (ensuring that all of us humans can continue living including producing what creates it, transportation of same, any processing needed to make it generate power). and improving the electric grid which as mostly been ignored for decade and in some cases for more than 100 years). all of this has to be done in the US. for oil, in would include exploration, and limited explorative drilling to demonstrate how it can be done safely. and then there are renewables that will get the same sort of support to improve renewable's reliability (to prove to those that dont believe that). each will some grant money to start work on these projects to get started, and tax credits if they prove their ability actually accomplish the goals for 100 or more years

Given your comment, perhaps you should stop watching. Clearly you've not watched very carefully. My original F150 Lightning hit black ice that was covered in snow on a downhill portion of road. I was driving appropriately for the weather. The police who attended the scene also had trouble stopping in time - and they were prepared. The truck being written off wasn't caused by a tree, and it didn't fall "apart like a split banana". The truck did come to rest with its nose touching a tree. But what was the cause of the total loss was the power line that fell on top of the truck after one of the power line guy line wires got caught around the side step and pulled the power line down. Given that I walked away - unscathed - I'd say the truck did its job. So, please next time you want to wail on someone for buying the wrong vehicle, kindly take it elsewhere. - Nikki.
