Xpeng is already in the market for a long time. I think something happened in the management . Seems a new brand for the last 6 months in the way they think about the product and how competitive they become. Seems like they need to constantly bring new tech updates to their cars, focus more on the design, g3 okayish and p5 was really ugly. I think that they are in a good spot with an amazing manufacturing facility , vw partnership and the new models that will come in 2025. I think next year will be crucial for automakers

Xpeng has good cars , i tested the g6 P and rwd, but have to say …. No where near Tesla in terms of the software and I would never consider giving that up… they need a couple of years to catch up.
@@Zeek764 the lack of instant acceleration, there seems to be lack in between. The software is ok for now and for people moving up from ICE vehicles it will be an upgrade depending on the brand you move from. But if you compare it to Tesla with entegrated charge stops in the car's navigation etc, more intiutieve menu's and sub-menu's, the well integrated apps like youtube music, spotify which are far better then using these through Apple / Android Car Play, etc... I also felt quite insecure in corners, the G6 tends to slip/lose grip more easily compared to my Model Y. Again i'm comparing it against that car and in another comparisson against legacy auto it would win a lot of the times, especially concidering the price range.
What did the trip to America by Xpeng's CEO change? Nothing. Serious EV manufacturers don't determine the technical direction of AD/ADAS development based on the whims of a CEO - only Tesla does that. Xpeng's CEO did not have a bracing awakening when he drove a Tesla for the first time in the USA. This was just a creative way for Xpeng's CEO to announce that the company would in future be using cheaper and simpler AD hardware and sensors. Sam has swallowed the spin, hook, line and sinker.
P7+ is a gorgeous car, calling it a sedan when it has a hatchback latch in the back is kinda misleading, the size of the vehicle is a high as the G6 so defintetely not a sedan :).
The only lesson I draw from this is that EV manufacturers other than BYD are on the way to profitability in China. Everything else that Sam says on these matters is just uninformed nonsense.

Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Fatih Kacır, ''We are meeting with 8 startups'' BYD started a factory in Turkey. Would other Chinese giants prefer Turkey?
Meanwhile VW has car parks full of unsold vehicles in Germany…..
Still arrogant doesn't want to slash price
I love xpeng g9 but we need more autonomy.....1000 klms wltp....why not a P9 +????
Xpeng is already in the market for a long time. I think something happened in the management . Seems a new brand for the last 6 months in the way they think about the product and how competitive they become. Seems like they need to constantly bring new tech updates to their cars, focus more on the design, g3 okayish and p5 was really ugly. I think that they are in a good spot with an amazing manufacturing facility , vw partnership and the new models that will come in 2025. I think next year will be crucial for automakers
Would any if the Chinese cars pass US collision tests
Xpeng in Thailand is not affordable cars to me. It still has no any model that cheaper than a million baht.
It's a nice car. But preorders are not deliveries and should not be compared.
like the cybertruck perhaps?
Those are confirmed orders, not pre orders
West has no comparison
Flying cars or carcopters 😂😂 oops 🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑
Wish can buy a Xpeng for US$55,000. In Singapore it's asking for S$224,999!
Xpeng will be better than Tesla and more affordable to end customers
They delivered 20000 cars within a week - did it take them 1 month to make them or 2 years?
The car was released a couple of months ago.
They don't have the fsd data or AI supercompute to compete with Tesla
What are you talking about? Tesla is behind the Chinese car makers.
They will work out a way to get it like they’ve got every other design out of Tesla
except the flying copter they got that idea from the German brand who makes them and is currently being bought by BYD I think

Xpeng has good cars , i tested the g6 P and rwd, but have to say …. No where near Tesla in terms of the software and I would never consider giving that up… they need a couple of years to catch up.
What difference did you see? Performance wise, G6 interface is rapid. Functionality covers all bases including auto park and autopilot
Pre orders are nice for talking points, but Tesla has proven that pre orders do not equal sales.
You mean the cyber truck preorders which people made just by joke even knowing that it would never even pass EU regulations
Those are confirmed orders, not pre orders
Sam, Xpeng lost $200 million on the first of their early sales. So how long can that go on for.
They have 5 billion cash. You do the math. With sales increasing, losses will narrow.
You don’t know about their book.
Looks like Electric viking got paid by the Chinese ev maker, he's now doing propaganda for them
why the hate?
@@orangetube1 i aint hating nothing, i'm spitting facts, just look at his video before his trip to china and after and you know
@@pitech4446 it's a coincidence. Just look at Chinese EVs today vs in 2020. He's always been pro EV. They look really pretty now.
Which part of his video is not fact? He gave concrete numbers. you up, let us know!
@@pitech4446 Sounds rather hateful to me
It’s still electric....
The only lesson I draw from this is that EV manufacturers other than BYD are on the way to profitability in China. Everything else that Sam says on these matters is just uninformed nonsense.
How so?

Morning B, hope you all well.Have you seen the destruction in the motor industry.Merc BMW Volkswagen Ford GM Porsche all in major major decline. This is going to be the biggest financial decline we will have ever experienced. The Chinese are coming big time.Kia Hyundai dealership closed Hermanus.Hold on as long as you can if you haven't bought a car.Have a good day.Love dad.
West is has been by comparison 😮
Yes, Xpeng Motors sells exceptionally too few vehicles up to now... Thongs are going better at the end of each year. But now Mona M03 and P7+ changed lot if things! They should sell 100000 vehicles per month, replacing lost of Li Auto and other pretendly good brands, which are not as good as they pretend to be! Xpeng Motors helps Volkswagen Group, Nio, and many others brands, especially Huawei and Aito and Luxeed now... Their improvements and abilities are used more and more, even by CATL and BYD for battery management system (BMS) very soonly...
Does it catch fire as often or more often than a BYD?
Better than Tesla would say
A lot safer than my gasoline car for sure. Seen enough gasoline fires on our roads.
Evening brother
You were first
Such a big fan why don't you start pronouncing the name right😂.... Come on you can do it 😂😂😂 try it this way
"sheeeeer pung"
Jai Hind. Legacy car champ VW should takeover Xpeng while it is still cheap and burning cash.
I think VW have money enough to buy, but Xpeng does not sell itself.
Dude xpeng ceo is the guy who created the Tesla FSD and he came to update the software by adding more code line. Lol
You need to do more research lol
Watch xpeng presentation and road map.... After xpeng reached L4 autonomous while using lidar and HD map was to speed up the AI learning. Now they don't need HD map and lidar anymore meanwhile Elon rushing to china to beg Chinese to use his L2 in china but was refused until it reach at least L3 for highway. Lol
Tesla AI itself is superior, but of course its much easier to have L4 status if using lidar, and HD map but doesnt make sense to me
Lol, the CEO is the creator of UC Browser. He's never worked for Tesla in his life. Don't just pull things out of thin air.
@@tluangasailo3663 They added the lidar to some car model and the HD map for safety reason until their FSD version reached L4 (level 4 autonomous) lidar is very expensive and Elon didn't want it to save money but the Chinese engineer told him it would speed up the AI learning algorithm to reach L5 with HD map but he refused.
FSD is level 2 same as Li auto. Nio, Xpeng, Waymo robot taxi are level level 4 and BYD is level 3 along with Huawei Avatr.
The xpeng ceo was petrified by Tesla tech and conducted a theft operation. But could not get into it and left for better times when they just could take it and incorporate in their own cars.
@@networm78 Do you remember Elon accusing Chinese engineer or programmer of stealing his FSD source code?
Im sorry but this subject is too deep for you. I don't know why I'm wasting my time with you but I'm optimistic.
Even with hundred percent tariffs it’s still cheaper and better. Bring china cars to America make America great again
Don't go to US. Don't waste time there. Focus on other markets.
Unions. Hmmmmm.
In reality there are less than 7 companies in the world could create EV with autonomous driving and smart cabinets, and the value for money market segment is much bigger than luxury segment probably 10 to 1, and Xpeng now pivot to value for money market segment and intend dominant it. However, Xpeng need to better control fluctuations of their R&D and SGA cost.
Elon musk bagged BYD and here we are!!
Mg4 excite 64 35k aud driveaway more reasonable
Are Chinese EV manufacturers allergic to Frunks?
Yes, Chinese can't pronoun letter "R".
Because at the front of their EVs, there are full of motor and mechanism, so they has no frunks.
I'd like to see those 10,000 flying car buyers when they find out they'll a pilot's license, an additional rotary aircraft license, and a multiengine license. Plus an instrument ratinv if they want to fly in rain or at night.
Easily $50,000 in flight training. Oopsie.
In Dubai where most orders are happening they probably have different rules. Can’t assume other countries have same rules as your country
If an Emirati sheik wants to hop on his flying car from Dubai to Al Ain to look at a different coloured Bugatti at the car showroom I’m sure on a low altitude flight path they will allow it
He would probably employ a pilot and order a two seater model too 🎉

So Sam, go work in the chinese factory ... and let us know how many of those cars you can afford to put in front of your own family house in China of course.
Or maybe you can go do it and tell us. I don't think you should trust Sam to give us a fair and balanced view.
Elon just realised his FSD is level 2 and that's why he went to china so he can use Chinese road to Test and train FSD AI. China is the holy grail to train autonomous AI
