- I recently picked up a number of games off eBay and if you hadn't noticed, some of the classic/retro game prices have been reaching new heights. A lot of these games are going for double or triple what they were over 10 years which is nuts. But after a lot of the random eBay lots we've done (and I'm sure we'll do more occasionally) it's time we hunt for the games we'll never see in those lots. Here's some recent pickups with full prices, and condition on display. If you ever start disliking your money, this is usually a good place to start. Join me!

I bought a copy of .Hack Mutation for the PS2 for $4.99 CAD at EB Games and traded it for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

I found Pokémon Colosseum at a thrift shop 2 years ago for $4. Complete. No fading on the label. I’m holding onto it now.

Oh and your video of Building the Ultimate PS3 really got you noticed by some well known repair technicians. They were even amazed you removed the heat spreader. One of the techs work at a refurbishing center licensed by Sony for 8 years. So nicely done.

Wow, $170+ for Colosseum?! It's crazy how expensive GameCube games are getting. I got XD Gale of Darkness in the early 2010s for about $25!

Yes they have come down but now they will never come down to $30-40 range. Because People have realized sooner rather than later sony will shut down the store for PS3 the game prices will only be going up now

I was on those ebay bids taking some L's ppl was willing to pay a lot for some of these ps3 games luckily I was able to grab a few for some decent prices. But yeah it's crazy having to pay like 80-100+ for used ps3 games.

@@CreativeWM_Personal Probably got a better chance going to them mom and pop gaming stores around ur area if their still around. But yeah I was trying to get Asura Wrath and Folklore on ebay but I'm not willing to pay like $100+ for each I guess some of these ps3 games are the new gold lol

Heavenly Sword is so underrated! Not sure if it has held up over the years, but I loved it when I played it at launch. Oh, and those sixaxis segments!!!
Dude i played the demo back in the day and were eagerly anticipating release, bought it and completed it several times. Graphically amazing, combat system was sick, QTE was immersive with some great set pieces. It's funny I actually were thinking about this game and wished they remade it or atleast made a sequel for next gen.
The closest thing we got to it was HELLBLADE as I assumed some of the Heavenly sword team helped out on the project. #Bringbackheavenlysword
Definitely underrated I haven't beaten it yet but was still hoping for a sequel
@@ericdiaz153 I didnt realise it were underrated I literally promoted this game to everyone back in the day, it was such a great exclusive setting PS3 apart. I literally assumed everybody knew about it, this makes me want my PS3 back just to play it again. And if you still have yours in working order, go for it it's worth the nostalgia 100%
@@mackjones3939 I think it sold like 1 million. But that game was solid I saw it as a female God of War game and I think that's why ppl didn't like it . I could be wrong but luckily I got a working ps3 and getting a few games for it before scalpers really go crazy with the prices on these games.
@@ericdiaz153 Yh good shout female GOW for sure especially with her weapons and fighting styles etc, dude female protagonist are great depending on the game obviously, I loved Aloy is Horizon Zero Dawn also another amazing exclusive Sony have under their belt. 1million sold is ground for a sequel I'm sure maybe we should start a movement similar to Shenmue 3 and see if it materialises.

I feel you on "young me" I remember when game crazy was around I traded in my NES with over 50+ cartridges just to get a GBA SP 🥲. I also regret not buying certain games when I was younger.
i liked the random lot videos because everyone was surprised regarding what games you would get. in all honesty i would watch whatever you post, so this was fun for me as well

170 dollars is insane. I still have my mint copy on my shelf with the included memory card. Games have shot up in value over the past 6 months.
Damn man. Gamecube games are expensive. I'm glad I started doing some collecting before the prices shot up. I paid $60-$70ish for Pokemon, and $100 for Fire Emblem PoR
I bought PSP games from GameStop years ago. Just before Christmas I got buy 3 get 2 free. Not 1 of them worked. 1 of them was the wrong game in the case. The good part was I took them all back to a different GameStop and they replaced them all. Those all work. I still use mine PSP but it will not hold a charge for more then 2 days.

Man heavenly sword!! I remember those times so clearly, being a launch title it was the first game I played to take me from ps2 to the ps3 era which was revolutionary at the time! As a kid heavenly sword was mind blowing!

I bought twisted metal 3 for the ps1 off of amazon for $15 used and when it came in i was shocked because it was brand new never opened it was still wrapped and had the playstation label sticker on the top of the jewel case i couldnt believe it. I never opened it and bought a used one
Wow i picked up that physical final fantasy x-2 region 3 Chinese english copy right before the pandemic for 30 bucks or so off ebay really glad I got it before prices went up.
nice video idea, interesting seeing how much rare games are going for these days. Recently picked up the original Plants vs. Zombies for the PS3 but was suprisngly expensive (about $45), especially considering it was on the PSstore for dirt cheap before (about $5-10) but no longer avaliable digitally due to publishing rights expiring.
Down for this series, would be cool to see a full collection video at somepoint an all.

The most expensive GameCube game I own is Skies of Arcadia which I think has gone up to $200 complete in Box. I bought it for $60 which I felt really bad about spending that much for an old game but it really paid off a couple years later.
That Pokemon Colosseum price is outrageous. I have no idea why people are willing to pay that much for it

I went through my PS2 games 2 weeks ago. I'm not a collector or anything. I just never sold or traded them. Turns out the 40 ps2 games are worth between $1,100 and $2,600 (based on cheapest and most expensive prices found online for each game in similar condition).
Who knew an original copy of Godhand was selling for $300? Or NFL Street 2 is worth like $80?

I feel you on that Gamecube game. I recently picked up a Zelda Collectors Edition for the Gamecube. This is a game that young me traded to Gamestop for probably eight bucks credit. Got it for $85 usd shipped online. Excellent copy though.

5:25 10-2 has an Asian English release. Its a market that encompasses many smaller Asian nations all with their own languages, but, most speak English or Chinese as a second language.

Yesterday one of the houses I was working in still had a Ps2 and they had over 300 games. I saw all of the best triple A titles for the console on those shelves. Brought back a ton of memories. Their kids played them and they never did, they are both in their 70s so I’m tempted to ask what they are going to do with them. I’ll make a video if they give them to me!
Been really wanting to add futurama to my xbox collection as its one I had when I was a kid. My surprise when ebay listings were pushing 200 bucks!

You need to look on uk ebay. Those games, pokemon and ridgeracer are £35 and £22 respectively
Wow. I'm so glad i re-bought all of the mainline pokemon games when X and Y came out.
Back in 2013 i think I paid around $60.00 - $75.00 each for Gen 1, 2 and 3 games. All CIB from very good to excellent condition.
The DS games were around $40-$50.00 each.
I actually found a copy of Soul Silver w/ Pokewalker bundle at my local ToysRUs in 2013, 3 years after it was released. Bought it for $35.00. Extremely lucky to find that so long after it's release. I even kept the receipt in the box.
But I couldn't find HeartGold at retail so I paid around $75.00 on e bay for a new copy.
I even remember buying a CIB N64 for $60.00 and a CIB Gamecube for $80.00. I even bought the gamecube component cables for $110.00.
Prices now are insane. An over-inflated mess.

Just got my ps vita from Japan couple days ago cause of the news of eventually they'll be closing the ps stores of the older consoles ( now it's just PSP that's closing but eventually vita and 3 will close for sure ) and I ordered Unit 13 as well 😁 it should be coming tomorrow. Just got my 32GB memory card as well today from Japan . Gotta test that out right now . Have Rayman Legends, Black ops Declassified, Killzone Merc and Mortal Kombat. Waiting on Unit 13, Soul Sacrifice , Dynasty Warriors Next, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 , PlayStation Allstars and Resistance Burning Skies to start my collection off . Spent so much lol all in great shape . Can't wait for em .

Most expensive game I've come across (and probably worth it for collectors) is Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil. It's an old ps2 game. It's a nearly flawless platformer made by Namco, the game is really good. It's rare and expensive solely because it had extremely poor sales when it was released, and despite the first game being re-released on PS3 as a Playstation Classic and remastered for the Wii, it continues to be an extremely little-known series, which very much saddens me
Colosseum and XD are my favorite games. Well worth their price tag, trust me.
So there has been a copy of Lumines Plus PS2 at my local thrift forever, this video motivated me to buy it, 2nd hand, now to figure out how to play and if I like it!!!
I got Pokémon colosseum (disc only) in a bundle I bought last year. It was a GameCube with two controllers, two memory cards, and the cables when I opened it up the game was inside. Paid 89 for the lot.

“For kids, the only way to buy games is to sell games”. I’m gonna have to disagree with you on that. I by no means had a lot of money growing up but I never, NEVER, sold any of my video games growing up. I knew that buying Chrono Trigger for $60 new only to turn around and sell it at EB Games or whatever for $10 was just a bad move. I just focused buying the games I really wanted and rented/borrowed the rest. I find it really interesting that so many people would sell their games growing up. I’d sooner have someone chop of my left hand than sell my games. In fact, of all the stuff I had growing up, my video games are like the one thing I’ve held onto. I don’t have a huge collection or anything but it’s curated. Not much filler in there. Plus I still have my Earthbound CiB that I picked up from a local game store for $20…. back in 1997.
I still have a sealed copy of Heavenly Sword. Ended up buying a cheap copy from GameStop last year, came CIB. I was happy =)
I played Heavenly Sword for the PS3 back in the PS3 days and I tell ya? for me it was hard with the bosses a Dark Souls for the PS3 days haha

Also bought a physical of Control on PS5. Even before I played the PS+ version. When there's a game I'm interested in, I have to have a physical! Love the fangamer Undertale too. I got that YEARS ago, nuts it's still available!

I collect JRPGs for PS2 and 3DS so I'm used to paying. My most expensive game that I paid for is about $100, but some of the games I've purchased have jumped way up - I bought Radiant Historia for $35 and its already $80
