- Hello party people! The maggots the maggoty-est. This was one of the most requested reactions for Slipknot, & I didn’t know what to expect. Corey Taylor has a fantastic voice, and he never disappoints. Let me know in the comments which Slipknot video you’d like me to listen to next!

This video is great, but to really get the feel of the song you should really watch the Corey Taylor (lead singer of Slipknot) acoustic version. It is heart wrenching.
I will check it out!
This 👌👌
@@CharisSellick yeah deserves a reaction video that one. Kills me everytime i watch it
@@CharisSellick React to the acoustic song on the channel.
yeah the acoustic version is just next level better
One of my personal favorites, absolutely love this song. Trying to get through it without tearing up is hard sometimes. Loved the reaction. If any context is needed, Corey had someone in his life help him through a very dark period and he began falling for her, only to find out she didn’t feel the same in the slightest and broke his heart, but helped him in figuring himself out along the way. The song was never intended to be released but Paul Gray (RIP) pushed him to release it and helped get the rest of the band on board with it.
That’s pretty intense. I’ll have to rewatch it with that in mind
@@CharisSellick I saw Corey live back in August a day or two before he got COVID and he performed this song live acoustically and there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience. Everybody sang along with lighters in the air. Amazing performance
@@xXxMa99otxXx I was at his Denver show and there was so much emotion when he performed Snuff. I got chills! And then 5 days late I really got chills because I got COVID. I'm sticking with my "Corey Taylor gave me COVID story". 😂
@@sarabarnaik58 I’m so sorry you had to deal with having COVID. As much as that performance was so emotionally heavily but amazing, unfortunately that song hits home hard with me and can never listen to it without crying. I even went and had my nickname (Ma99ot) tattooed on my shoulder with the line “Angels Lie to Keep Control” included.
@@CharisSellick also that when he broke the glass in his hand, it wasn't supposed to break and ended up cutting him pretty bad.
This song literally saved my life at one point. I was done but something about this brought me back.
Glad you are here
This song was written about dark times in Corey's life involving a woman. She did not die by the way lol. The song was written with lot of help from his best friend Paul Gray of Slipknot. Corey has said he never would have released this song had it not been for Paul's support and pushing him.
This single was also the last released before Paul died. Corey has since and forever dedicated this song to his best friend Paul which is where even more emotion comes from. He would break down singing and the crowd would sing for him which is why you hear them in the background in the acoustic version which you should definitely listen to!
RIP brothers PAUL and now JOEY 🤘
We love you guys and thank you for everything 🤘🤘🤘
Snuff was a great song for Slipknot. But you have Got to hear Corey Taylor perform the acoustic version. The words raw emotion don't even come close to describing his performance. You would be doing yourself a grave injustice by not giving it a listen.
BTW- I love your channel and your reactions. You have good insight into the music and you add plenty of humor to keep things on the lighter side. Keep up your journey into metal and rock. You got a ways to go but many Incredible bands yet to discover. Keep on smiling and enjoy the discovery of all the great music coming your way. ❤
Fact about this music video. Corey Taylor actually broke a real glass and cut himself in this video. That's how personal this song is to him.
This is probably the most gut wrenching song ever written. It gets me in my feelings every single time. It doesn't get much better than this.
Listen to "Ne me quite pass" sung by Jacques Brel
fun fact: the wine glass shattering was a complete accident. The song was originally written for someone Corey had feelings for but then she let him down. But after Slipknot bassist and longtime friend Paul Gray died in 2K10, he dedicates this song to him
This is the second video of yours I've watched and honestly I like how goofy you are, definitely reminds me of myself in private and with friends. I'll keep checking out some more of your stuff, keep up the hard work!
This song gets me in the feels every time. Much love
There is a good live accoustic version i think youd like and the lyrics hit hard
In the scene where he broke the wine glass that actually really happened during the filming of the video and Shawn crahan kept it in the videk
I think i found my soulmate; you’re hilarious. Your vids are godly; keep doing your thing👏🏽
The video is kinda out there but man I love the song. Should def check out his acoustic solo version of this song (whether in your own time or in a reaction). Would love to see some more Slipknot
Hope you have a happy new year! So excited for next year
Charis needs to hear there Lead Singer Corey Taylor live acoustic version of this song to do it justice .😊
"Random skull" made me giggle (I'm late AF to the party of this video) but as I look around this current room in my house there are at least seven skulls... and it's not Halloween 🫣
Look at my beautiful unblocked baby, this video was released early on patreon so if you want access like that you should join! ❤️

Let me just say, that I needed that kind of good vibe on a song like this. Thank you!
I love how you recognized Malcolm McDowell from A Clockwork Orange! A lot of people didn't catch that. The brunette in the hallway was played by Ashley Laurence who starred in the first two Hellraiser movies.
He has his demons that she struggled with, and in the end, love was not enough. Sometimes people with demons push those they love away, so as not to hurt them, but deep inside they want and need to have the person stick with them. They need the other person to persist through the difficulties, but she didn’t. He felt broken, unloved, and not “enough”. In the end, it hurt him, but he used it to better figure himself out. Loved your honest reaction!
This and the acoustic version along with range therapy helped me when I had to put my dog down. I thoroughly enjoy the new album with Unsainted being my fav.🤘
This song makes me cry. It reflects how I feel about my mom. When I was a kid, she was abusive, and never really made amends. Im 32 years old, and work in mental health now, and experience PTSD from the abuse. I slept in the park from 14-19 because I didnt want to go home. She only calls me when she wants money. I know i shouldnt care, but I cant help but ask why I was treated like that by the person who was supposed to love me. Im successful, im responsible, ive healed as best I can....but damn.
The line that gets me is: So break yourself against my stones
And spit your pity in my soul
You never needed any help
You sold me out to save yourself
And I won't listen to your shame
You ran away, you? re all the same
Angels lie to keep control
Ooh, my love was punished long ago
If you still care don't ever let me know
If you still care don't ever let me know
Your story is very powerful.
Hey Charis, you look fabulous, happy new year!
Thank you!
Did you notice the tune whistled by Malcolm McDowell at the very end?
For those who don't get it the skull at the girl's place is what is called a memento mori.. A reminder of death and mortality.. Used in art through centuries.
Please do more slipknot PLEASE.
great reaction. the official acoustic will break your heart. is amazing i cry everytime i listen the acoustic
the song is perfect and the video is dope. such amazing lyrics
Glad to see this finally posted with the whole youtube blocked video runaround.
It was very annoying. 🙃
Malcolm McDowell whistling Snuff is one of those beautiful moments of utter surrealism in the world.
The imagery in this video is deep. I don't see a lot of reactors comment on it though.
Am here to support MamaSellick's little girl. And also that cat. It's a cute cat. ;-)
I LOVE HER!!
This video features Malcom McDowell from A Clockwork Orange and was directed by Slipknot founder #6 CLOWN!!!!!!!!!
Slipknot is my favorite band... amazing!
The most Charis-matic youtuber I've ever seen 🔥🔥🔥
That me! 🥰
This song was not only Paul Grey's favorite song but its dedicated to him. Corey Taylor had a rough time saying good bye to him. In .5 the Grey Chapter which is dedicated to Paul Grey Corey Taylor wrote a song called goodbye which is him saying his final goodbye to his brother and his best friend Paul Grey.
PLEASE MORE SLIPKNOT'S REACTIONS PLEASE !!
If you could do The negative one, that would be awesome! Also, you have a very beautiful singing voice of your own, i was in a horrible mood and hearing your voice took me out of it and lifted me up a bit, plus the manic energy in the intro was enough to get me stupid again so thank you for being my depression medication for the night!
Awesome reaction! You should do a reaction to Slipknot “The Devil in I” lol that music video WILL get a awesome reaction out of you lol and it’s a good song too !!
Happy to hear you know A Clockwork Orange
ETA: you should check out 'Asylum' by Vended. The lead singer is Griffin Taylor (Corey Taylor's son) and the drummer is Simon Crahan (Shawn 'Clown' Crahan's son)
Love this version but you should definitely check out the live acoustic version too
Corey was never to meant to to break that glass... he accidentally broke it, and hurt his hand bad
Yeah the blood is real
If you want more of Corey's range, check out Sound City Soundtrack: From Can to Can't
I love the song, but also recommend Coreys live performance of it.
Greetings from Germany
The song is actually about the loss of his best friend and Bassist Chad Grey
The music is very hard, good react 🤘🤘🤘
Happy New Year ; big fan of yours but not huge fan of Slipknot although their concerts are insane
Hope you have all the success you deserve
You need more Band Maid and LOVEBITES abs Premiere Nemophila
Where am I these days
More slipknot slipknot slipknot 🤟🔥
Definitely react to the acoustic version.
Charis, in order to understand the feelings conveyed in this video you’d have to have gone through betrayal and heartbreak. Not the best of choices for a reaction vid. Still hoping you have a happy new year though, your channel is still growing and 2022 should be better for us all!
It takes a sick mind like yours and mine to notice that it was him for the first time seeing it. You should hear the acoustic of this song.
I want you to promise you will never let go
Slipknot vermillion part 1 and 2 btw
You need to react to corey taylor snuff live on his tour “hated” is just him, and a guitar.
Got to react to Corey Taylor acoustic version his London show is his best any of the songs during the show suggest the song bother, tired, taciturn, or Zzyzx rd all those songs are amazing in his live London show
Oh so she can have a skull in her house but when the police find a skull in my house suddenly Im "under criminal investigation" unfair
Hey could you check out the slipknot demo song called bitch slap do nothing from gold album demo which from demo album called mate feed kill repeat this was before they were sighed with a different singer in 95 96 and 97 gold disc like the higher quality of the. Demo song they were with imist records at the time which probly now with warner brothers
The shock value video to react to next would be "Devil In I" but there are many songs that are great
You should check out stone sour and his solo stuff too.
This style isn’t a surprise because Corey Taylor has a second band called Stone Sour which is just Post-grunge, stuff like Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, etc.
It took the death of hope to let you go.
That's heavy shit..
Random things Charis says in a video...
"It's a DOGGIE!!!"
It's in the name 👆
Corey also has another band called Stone Sour that you'd also enjoy!!! 😉❤✌🏼
To see what else Cory can do and his different material check out his other band Stone Sour.
Easily Slipknots best ballad (yes they have more than one ballad).
If you like Corey's voice in this I recommend his other band Stone Sour, there's a lot more ballads. Through Glass (official video) it's trippy!, Zzyzx Rd, Bother
Awesome 👍 Lady Baby - Nippon Manju next please 🙂 This music video pretty old, but still funny
the great song , the love real is pain and hurt
Great reaction! Another great song is (sic) by slipknot
You gotta do a Solway firth vid!!! F-ing great song!!!! The music video aint to bad either!
Check out Stone Sour too, Corey's the singer in that band too :D
Also the guy from Star Trek :Generations .....Malcom McDowell as Soron.
When the glass vroke in his hands that was real the blood on his hand was actually his blood I believe
I would like to see your reaction to a more intense slipknot song like disasterpiece. I think that’d be entertaining. Or Custer, that’s a good song too
Bury all your secrets in my skin
Come away with innocence
And leave me with my sins
The air around me still feels like a cage
And love is just a camouflage
For what resembles rage
Again
So if you love me let me go
And run away before I know
My heart is just too dark to care
I can't destroy what isn't there
Deliver me unto my fate
If I'm alone I cannot hate
I don't deserve to have you
My smile was taken long ago, if I can change I hope I never know
I still press your letters to my lips
And cherish them in parts of me
That savor every kiss
I couldn't face a life without your lights
But all of that was ripped apart
When you refused to fight
So save your breath, I will not care
I think I made it very clear
You couldn't hate enough to love
Is that supposed to be enough?
I only wish you weren't my friend
Then I could hurt you in the end
I never claimed to be a saint
My own was banished long ago, it took the death of hope to let you go
So break yourself against my stones
And spit your pity in my soul
You never needed any help
You sold me out to save yourself
And I won't listen to your shame
You ran away, you're all the same
Angels lie to keep control
My love was punished long ago, if you still care don't ever let me know
If you still care don't ever let me know
I got angels lie to keep control tatted on my right arm
Something something acoustic version reaction. 😜😎
really funny watching you look at your comments than your actual react
I do have pretty great comments
If you haven't yet check out vermillion pt 2 by slipknot
don't forget stone sour, another side of Corey
Cool video
We're actually called maggots tho
Um…..Rot by Hostages, react to it! The closest comparison I can make out of all of the songs you’ve reacted to, to it is King of the Rats by Bodysnatcher. Uh, this is taking 2022 through a storm I think 🤔
It's like a different band with different genre not like the original 🤘 but always rocking Slipknot nice reaction
Im dying at that Bohemian Quacksody duck in the back. Hes needs a brother... Fredsea Mercury maybe?
My PO Box is always open for that. Lol
So next songs id highly recommend baba yaga by slaughter to prevail or motionless in white - thought and prayers. Looking forward to seeing them soon 🤘🔥
She can’t go from Snuff to deathcore, that’s way to difficult
You should react to Demolisher by Slaughter To Prevail
Disasterpiece next!
Or maybe the cult of the nine or something lmao the time of the nine is now though know that! Always 🤘(there's 9 members in the band)
Devil in I by Slipknot is great. If you haven’t checked it out I can recommend it :)
There are 2 songs that have brought tears to my eyes. One is Avenged Sevenfolds Fiction and the other is Snuff. Not every time but if they catch me at low points they break me
now check out RADIOHEAD - TRUE LOVE WAITS (PIANO VERSION)
tell me if it breaks you too
@@riiidhoo3824 Okay, I'll grab the razors ready 🤣
@@kayjellyjay lol, have you listened that i got to u?
@@riiidhoo3824 I'm afraid Kay couldn't make it to the end of the song and has now joined his forefathers in Valhalla
jkjkjk but yeah, that's the only time i'll be listening to that song lol
@@kayjellyjay lol why?????? how long you can make it last?
We're maggots... Lol jk I do like the idea of calling ourselves the knot though has a nice ring to it
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
his live performance of this song is better. His emotions about what the song means to him comes through much more in his performance.
Check out disasterpiece by slipknot
Now on to Heretic Anthem or Surfacing 🤘🤘😂
MAGGOTS
lol
watch the acostic version.
Were maggots lol
Maggot be sad. You don't get it because you don't know it's ok.
