This is one seriously good bike. You can scratch, tour and commute with no trouble at all. I just wish Triumph would produce something similar, with the speed Triple engine. The Tiger Sport is good but not quite sporty enough.
Couldn't agree more. Heart says Speed, Head says z100sx. Took it up with Triumph dealer, they say just buy a Tiger 1050. Think they've missed the point and what BMW have done with the S1000xr
Stateside, I believe it's just the Z1000...I sat on one last year and loved the thing. Sitting still! Great all-around bike with nice power and tons of gadgets for the money.
At a 140 hp, the Z1000SX will lose most vehicles in the mirrors at will. As usual, the green meanies will roll on to high revs with strong reliability too.
Kawasaki absolutely destroyed the vfr800f with this bike. Much cheaper and faster, with that buttery smooth engine. Also the valve clearance checks does not cost you almost £1000 unlike the honda..
This is one good looking bike until your vision get down to the exhaust pipes and the WTF kind of idea was this.....couldn't put the smooth looking canister like on the old contour cause that would be to cool...LOL.
I've bought one the this April, I'm in the middle, I love a bit of fast riding , while the g/f on her tiger is more in to touring at normal speeds . I've put a full acro system on , tail tidy , and a few bits n bobs, I've got what I think is spot on, a proper sports tourer that will sit up and go with the best as and when I want it 👍 but I can also ride all day long with the Mrs as well . For me spot on 150bhp and comfortable 😁
Hi I'm not really happy with my 16 z1000sx previously owning 14 fazer 1000 and a European trip under my belt for the last 15 years This bike will give you sores on your buttocks every 50 miles and the longer you travel the shorter the stops get there no umph at 5k on rev counter I like it's just to smooth from the start needs a exhaust valve and can be bad as it gives no feed back to your actuall speed far to many gadgets on dash if you want to ride faster twist the fun handle more if it's raining slow down a bit and you have to reset it every time you get on it loads your wrists up when braking seats as flat as a pancake sat in my house with 800 mile on clock I wish there had a demo when I bought it but it looks georgess and the closest thing to a fazer without actually owing 1 Fjr 1300 on the cards for me
its not the bike mate, its you lol. I have same bike and its fantastic!! it's obviously just not the bike for you. Don't bag the bike out because your experience is a bad one. I haven't got a negative thing to say about mine after 6000km on it so far and no plans on changing it. its an AWESOME bike
Seriously: Best bike reviews on UA-cam.
Late to the party with this video but the shoulder check on his drive made me smile
He did a life saver in his drive way 🙂
😂 better to be safe than sorry
great review. it was as I listened to this that I have bought a z1000sx and I think that it is one of the best all round bikes out there.
Just got this one. Same year, in mint condition. Love it
Does the bike make lots of noise or is it smooth and comfortable for long distances?
I've had the 2013 model for 8 weeks now and it's amazing to ride.

Going to ride one tomorrow. If it’s as good as I expect it to be I’ll most likely be riding it home!😎

One of the headlight bulbs has blown already and the standard exhausts are fugly! Other than that, I'd have one.
+Derek Blackman New to motorcycles? One side is the high beam, the other side is the low beam.
Nope. had bikes for 50 years but can't stand asymmetrical lights.
one headlight is short beam and the other one is high beam..
Many people disconnect one lamp. Why so judgemental?
