I stayed in Milwaukee once during the winter season…never again. The worst days were when it was freezing AND windy. Forget fingers, I couldn’t feel my entire body at 1 point (I worked outside at that time, as well.) My jaw was literally frozen shut. I thought Chicagos winters were terrible but Milwaukees are far worse. Their winter air blows in from Canada and it is fierce. If there’s any place out there colder than there, which there is, I don’t ever want to experience it lol! Thanks for another great vid. God Bless, cya soon 🇺🇸🙏🏽

That sounds absolutely horrible! My jaw has never come close to freezing shut. I know it sounds Midwestern but it’s so true, “It wouldn’t be that bad if it wasn’t for the wind.”. That cold wind I think is the biggest factor. I will be putting Milwaukee on my list of places to never travel to during the winter 🥶!!
Thank you for your comment! Looking forward to future ones!

I love the low quality audio ♡♡♡ I think that's cause of the windy day. for me, sharp audio can make my ears ring. The audio and your voice are very pleasant to me. My only recommendation is quieter intros... if this is what you like doing ☺️ that's just me tho.

Thank you for your comment! That’s very good feedback! I’m new to making videos so still trying to figure out the audio 🤪. I really do enjoy making them though!

I saw your video I have to say I really like that you do bare foot trimming I don't like shoes on horses I think they don't need a big peace of mettle banging on there feet. Thank you so much ☺️

Thank you for watching and for your comment! I actually started out shoeing traditionally with steel years and years ago. Then a metallurgical engineer showed me mathematically the damage that steel can do to a horses hooves, legs, and really their entire bodies. So I no longer use steel on any horse. Once I saw it I couldn’t unsee it. Thankfully we live in a time where we have so many other options available at our fingertips to help horses hooves!

@@The_Female_Farrier Agreed! I am not a farrier but I have Pete's books and watch a LOT of barefoot trimming videos. I have kept my 22 yr. old TWH gelding barefoot since I got him almost 10 yrs. ago. I don't know if he ever wore shoes but he has never had a lame day in his life with me. The owners of the barn where I board my horse keep their horses shod on all 4 feet all year round. So sad! I always wonder about the holes the nails make and how easy it is for bacteria to invade the hoof walls. I know the nails weaken the walls. But, they "know" more about horses than me. Sigh...

@@kajinsautumn9833 it’s so tough and almost impossible to get people to change their perceptions and view points! But it sounds like you are doing a great job of leading by example! And it sounds like your horse is super happy and comfortable! I think that’s really all we can do most of the time!
I find it so interesting that people are so worried about damaging the hoof wall with super glue but aren’t concerned about nailing holes into the wall. It just baffles my brain sometimes 🤪.

I know you deal with wet and the results are often ugly, but I live in Arizona by the Mexican border and our horses feet are so HARD. Just nipping and rasping is really something. I have to keep an area wet by the trough just to be able to trim. And I'm old.😆

Oh my goodness we had a drought last summer and I was trimming desert hooves. The hooves were healthy but the trimming process was AWFUL! I don’t know how you trim where you are.
