Making my way through your library of videos. Something I particularly appreciate are your voice over commentaries. Thank you for sharing your work! You're a natural teacher.
I realy love your approach towards your handling and taking Care of the horses stress level and your trimning there is only 1 thing i want to ask you : Linda Harris pays a lot of attention to the Angel of the periopel in the heel and heel height and the frog in order to restore the hoof capsule to its proper size to fit the foot inside, what do you think about her research TACT
Thank you! There are too many variables at play to only follow one method for every horse. And regardless of what we think we know the horse is always right. I have found some horses responded very well to tact and some did not. Hoof Care is a whole horse approach and because of that I have found that that specific research doesn’t apply to all horses.
@@The_Female_Farrier yes i agree that every hoof/ foot is individual, and one has to read each capsule separately, the thing that opend my eyes is that the coronary band and frog stay and heel height plays an important factor in the size of the shoe fitting the 🦶. I am devastated because my imported Icelandic horse had his heels trimmed off and he went lame very fast so now I am obsessed to find out how to restore his feet, he changed because of pain and it was very obvious, I also believe Linda Harris is recently more into reading the capsule than doing a method

Thank you for a great video
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
Why must they land heel first?? In Germany they say they must land the hole hoof and eventually slide a tiny bit
It’s how you produce and maintain a healthy heel on a hoof. And everything revolves around the health of the caudal structures.

@@konnipaysen4896 a healthy heel is the key to everything 🙌🏻.
I'm not used to seeing hoof walls so soft and malleable. That seems unsteady.
We live in usually a very wet environment.
