The two emus in this video were filmed at Secret Creek Cafe and Restaurant in Lithgow, NSW:

These guys won the war of 1932.
I had never heard of the emu war of 1932 until you mentioned it. I never learned about it when I was growing up.
We did win the war of 1932
Was that really a war???
Amy Burnett yeah, look up emu war
What did the emu ladies just lay guns and other war things for the male emus to murder with?!
I'm here from puppet history and Holy Shit they sound EXACTLY what I imagine a dinosaur would sound like
same & SAME !!!!
SAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
first same and second birds are dinosaurs so yeah that's how a dinosaur sound
Sounds like my bike at 3am.
hahah im from australia and puppet history is making me second guess my nationality lol
Just so you guys know, this is one of the closest representations of what the t rex *probably* sounded like,
deadass searched this video up after looking up how we would know what trex sounded like
How about.. cassowaries..? (idk how to spell) They make weird sounds and even look like dinosaurs (kind of)
@@ladno1342 they're also a close call. They have similar organs and lack a syrinx so it would be possible. We have no way of actually knowing what they sounded like, just some approximations based off what we can observe in real life
@@ladno1342 they don't look like dinousaur, they're dinosaurs.
@@venth6 Exactly that's why I said one of the closest not the closest, but yes I agree totally with your statement
The great war of Emus- 1932. never forget.
Lest we forget.
What a way to end the year.
To my native Emustani people, we refer to it as the Great Emu Genocide of 1936. It was the turning point in Emustani-Australian relations, and has led to widespread calls for independent sovereignty from Australia in form of The Emustani Republic. The Emustani have their own flag, and claim sovereignty to the entirey of Australia. Our intent is to liberate our homeland and send all humans occupying our homeland to where they first came from, Australia-Hungary.
I spent 15 minutes typing up a rant, only to realize as I was reading it back "Wait... Emustani.....Emu-- GODDAMMIT IT".
You made me waste 15 minutes and now I have nowhere to put that rant I put so much heart into. >:/
Well played.
I saw an emu in a zoo yesterday and my mom was scared
Australia is vibing till they hear this in their crops
Only birds are supposed to have crops so it's natural for Emu to think that crops are theirs, not humans'.
Supposedly that's only Male Emus, Female Emus have an air sac somewhat similar to some dinosaurs that they inflate to make a weird pulsing sound like a drum or aircraft.
Hi Nibble - thanks for watching the video and your comment. I'm not an emu expert so can't verify whether these emus are male or not. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time to catch the sounds they were making.
Ethan Townsend P So dinosaurs would have sounded something close to this? I think that can be even more terrifying than roars wow
@Barley's Affordable Automotive Repair & Sales LLC there are lots of things besides bones, we have found fossilized poop, nests with intact eggs, footprints, full body impressions, and even some dinosaurs that were covered up and have intact skin fossilized (probably died in a landslide)

Puppet History sent me here.
Am I the only one after The Puppet History?
Emus doing their victory screech after hearing their victory against Australia: 1932 colorized
Not emu's. Emus. No apostrophe.
In real life it sounds like an actual base line. You can even hear it from inside of a house it's like bass from a distant concert.
Exactly this. I was so confused. Imagine, I'm in a zoo in the middle of nowhere and I hear like there's a rave concert going on somewhere. I couldn't believe it was a sound of emus.
Thanks Puppet History, I wouldn't know a bird could make a sound like this
their necks are long i think thats where they get that deep sound from
I'm here because the Professor told me to google emu sounds
that's The Professor; the 'The' is a proper noun.
Is this a reference to Money Heist? I haven't watched the show, but I know there is a professor in it
@@abhay4147 nono its a reference to the puppet history show made by the yt channel "watcher"
anyone else here because of Puppet History?
Yep
Same!
This is kinda what scientists think the Tyrannosaurus rex sounded like. Which, is not strange to think, since birds are technically considered and classified as ‘dinosaurs’. And Emus happen to be one of the biggest birds to exist today
Australia in 1932: *why do I hear boss music*
You here doing Puppet History homework too?
No.
A worthy adversary for any Australian. 1932
Sounds like my stomach after some McDonalds.
Or mine before some McDonald's
A JELLYBEAN TO KATE!
im here bc a puppet professor told me to google what an emu sounds like AHSDAHS
so this is how dinosaurus sounded like?
Yep, that is a deep and booming chuff. Way louder than a lion or bear chuff.
Here are sounds of the Cassowary, even closer to Dinos. Use good headphones that can do low bass or use a subwoofer to really feel it as it is too deep for your ears to hear.
ua-cam.com/video/4dcQO6Zb8Eg/v-deo.html
Abram Carroll wow. This is cool! And cassowarys sound more like growling, kinda scary!
Well, it’s what T. Rex sounded like
Birds are dinosaurs
@@abram730 I disagree with you, if you think a bird that is 4 foot high, with a wingspan of 2 feet would sound like a bear i think you're very much mistaken.
I went to the Richmond Zoo and stood next to one of these animals through a cage-linked fence. I made a sound at it messing around, and it looked me in my eyes and let out a primal growl. It sent chills down my spine. Safe to say I stepped back slowly from the fence and apologized.
I had one make this sound right in my ear while looming over my back, no fence between us.
almost like looking at a dinosaur
kalel 311 birds are the descendants of Dinosaurs!
@@shiksen *BIRDS ARE DINOSAURS*
Luckily we control the planet now. Can you imagine one of those 6 times that size chasing you? lol
The Australian soldiers in the emu war of 1932 had that happen... watch oversimplified
@@thegreatgoldfilms6311 you are wrong the stranger is Wright birds are descends of dinosaurs with many peculiar and dominate links between them
Who’s here from Puppet History?
Me: hey why I can't hear nothing?
My Australian grandpa with the Bluetooth speakers downstairs: 😨
Hi Francesco - I hope you managed to get the sound working.
@@njhproductions yes the sound is working, it was just a joke
He's a vet of the Great Emu Ear, huh?
@@yerman0564 perhaps
It’s actually speculated that this is what a T. rex sounded like. They didn’t roar. They hooted and cooed
When you're an Australian farmer and the fields start speaking Emu
Sup
Apparently, this is very close to what a tyrannosaurus rex sounded like.
I literally thought the sound the emus made was just background shuffling around/wind!! The noises are so cool!
Thank you Professor, very cool!
Ok now we know why emus won the war against the Australian people. They're actually dinosaurs in disguise.
A talking puppet professor brought me here
ah, the victors of war.
Drumming.
Imagine that thing 30 feet tall and weighing several thousand tons, with teeth.
🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕
I’d probably pass out my mom has 2 emus and they are taller than me they are 7 feet tall 😬! And I’m 5’7 🥲
im sure im not the only one who came from puppet history
The closest sound to a t-rex
May the real dinosaur stand up.
Weird. I was not expecting them to sound like someone trying to start a flooded chainsaw.
Man I'm telling you, I just came from Cassowary noise to this- these flightless birds are dinosaurs
Flying birds are also dinosaurs.
@@dondragmer2412 , I meant the flightless birds look more like dinosaurs, utah raptors and those.. I know birds are descendants of theropods, but flying birds ain't looking like a Carcharodontosaurus
@@greensquirrel4019 Yes, you mean flightless birds look more like the flightless dinosaurs. But there were a lot of non-flying dinosaurs, such as the raptors (Dromaeosaurs), ornithomimes, oviraptors and coelurosaurs, and many flightless small ornithiscians that modern flightless birds also resemble.
Puppet History brought me here.
This is terrifying those soldiers have to been through alot.
This is the majestic 1.8 TDI model. Spectacular.
This gave me PTSD flashbacks to 1932
nice to see other puppet history fans
The professor sent me here
I heard this is what the T. rex sounded like irl
Really came from watcher to hear emu sounds 💀
They’re so FLOOFY 🥰
Aussies : **PTSD FLASHBACKS**
Thanks, Professor.
So cool, real life dinosaur birds
Apparently the TRex sounded like that too. But with more volume.
So that’s what Limu sounds like
Tell me these guys don't sound like dinosaurs.
That is probably how some teropods dinosaurs sound like
Theropods
Wow bud that's a top quality emu right there mate
Dinosaurs would've sounded something like this.
Depending on what genera and species. I am sure they had a wide diversity of sounds just as modern dinosaurs, birds, do today. Very tiny ancient dinosaurs may well have sounded like ducks, turkeys, geese, chickens, songbirds, etc.
Wonderballs!
I did a Google search "sound of emu drumming" and found several on You Tube. While it is not Goldie, it is still interesting to hear.
Those are dino sounds right there
These birds are beautiful
They are such cute brushes ❤
It almost sounds like a dinosaur growl
“My car is looking a bit funny today, and it won’t start up” sound
I'm here because i just read an article that stated that "A 2016 study suggested that T. rex probably didn't roar, but most likely cooed, hooted, and made deep-throated booming sounds like the modern-day emu"
Sooooooooooo frustrated p.m p.😡
Thanks for this
that's probably what dinosaur sounded like
Thank you.
Now imagine this 10 times louder and bassier and that’s a Dino
Now this is how a t-rex sounds like, but only a scarier version
Thank You Shane Madej
It's the same sound of the T-rex ! ;-)
One of many sounds they make. They hiss too when they charge you, and make other sounds. This is their affectionate warble for each other.
What every australian hears in their nightmares
Exactly what I imagine a Utahraptor to sound like
So they ligit growl like a fricking dinosaur. Ok not what I was expecting 😂
Oh so this is the sound that an emu makes.
I wonder if this is how dinosaurs sounded
Some of the medium-sized to larger ones, probably.
TYhey have an other sound like that but really stronger, like a sound of intimidation, and in live, really impressive !
I clicked to hear what an emu sounds like and I get Jurassic Park.
TOP 10 sounds that scare Australians the most!
The last thing an Australian soldier hears before he dies
This was some weird homework
Thats a cool
Sound
Wonderhoy!
Absolutely amazing creatures ❤
I don't believe T-Rex sounded like that
Belief has nothing to do with it. Depends on the evidence and interpretation thereof. Maybe they did, maybe not. Certainly they were a lot louder. But they may have sounded more like louder, deeper-pitched hawks and eagles, even owls.
The bass notes of nature
If you ever wondered what dinosaurs sounded like.... This is probably it.
looked this up after seeing those liberty mutual commercials
They're annoying as hell. LOL And make the Emu look like some basic ash ostrich
I cant hear but FEEEL that bass
Sounds like a large cat purring
The Fact: Dinosaurs Doesn't Roar. And Sounds Like Emu
Imagine hearing this sound back in 1932, the thought just terrifies me
The last sound you hear
Never thought they would sound so intimidating but they sound like they are lions
It's a fucking emu! I like how they move about like Muppet characters, lol.
this is my new favourite video
Thanks for watching.
Majestic
Raptor like purring.
