Dear KITA-BOSHI Team thank You so much for sharing Yr wonderful video showing all steps for High Quality Japanese Pencil Manufacturing warm congratulations and best regards Ettore Musso Italy
I have no idea how humans made all of these processes like 50 years ago. I bet half the population today can’t figure out one step of this process by themselves
Beautifully made pencils! The quality and care taken for the product show clearly in this video! And I'll bet that factory smells good with the balance between machinery and natural wood!
Never knew how a pencil was made and somehow now I am more complete. The workers are dedicated to producing a quality product unlike so much that is being produced elsewhere.
Not me getting emotional at the music swell when the pencils were perfectly lined up going into their little boxes. @ 9:30 🥲 I guess, as an American, I feel like I’ve been robbed of quality craftsmanship and a human touch in everyday products outside of mass chains. I dunno, maybe it’s dum. I know they’re just little pencils and stuff, but I really enjoy the idea of the things I use, especially art supplies and stuff I use to create my own things that have been crafted by people who care. The Japanese are just bada$$es at craftsmanship♥️ thanks for the video!
Japanese factories seem to have a very chilled vibe where everyone loves his work and is fully dedicated to quality.. It can be one of the reasons why Made in Japan has quality as well.. There is a passion towards their work and they must be proud of what they do..
@@theupscriber65 It's a honest job. No more, no less. Everybody needs one, and there is no shame in that. Also, a person's identity is not exclusively defined by his or her job. Someone's absence of "professional ambition" doesn't correlate to their ambition in other aspects of their lives like hobbies, crafts, sports, charity, family, travel, education ... Don't reduce "ambition" to something that can exist only at work. Ambition is also not necessarily synonymous to "climbing the ladder".
@@theupscriber65 I would off myself if my life was being a factory worker, but that isn’t because there’s a low ceiling even with extreme ambition. I would do the same if I was an investment banker, where solid ambition and work ethic ends up with you as an MD making 8 figures a year.
I worked for a pencil manufacturing company in the 1970s this equipment looks older proper engineering I work in cosmetics today the engineering is out of date in 5 years and won't last as long as this fantastic to see 👍
I agree with you! Humanity over these centuries has come up with as much as it has not come up with over the past millennia. I will be glad if you rate my videos. In one of the videos, I make a sapphire ring out of a titanium tube.
That cardboard thing that he was using to batch grab the finished blanks was probably someones temporary solution to go faster.. then it became the company solution 😂
Very interesting production line. I imagine it being quite agreeable to work there. The pencil labeling looks like a very expensive process making up probably 20% or even more of the product cost?
Your job must be a very satisfying one when I read all comments below coming from worldwide❤️much appreciated thanks for sharing this beautiful video with me 👍👍❤️🇳🇱
After watching many videos, now I like only machines 😄 they work correctly, honestly and continuously. Awesome👍., but for pencil they bring wood from America 🤔 , it means pencil is quite expensive 😆 know? .
We take a pencil to make a note without ever thinking of the processes, the years of evolution of ideas to improve the machines, the workers, etc. I guess this all started with people drawing with burned sticks, then somebody thinking "I could just collect the charcoal off the end of the stick and ... maybe ... compress it? Eventually, he saw a market for his crude, artisinal pencils, and thought "I could automate this process", and the first simple machine was made. And gradually, over hundreds of years and millions of improved ideas, the modern pencil took shape. But it's not only pencils - almost everything we use has been mass-produced, and has gone through the same process of invention and improvement. I just watched a video of several hundreds of thousands of screws of different sizes, threads, etc, being made *per day* in a small workshop full of machines, by one man. It gives a new appreciation for the things we use every day.
Amazes me to think people of the early Victorian era would hate this machinery as not handmade .. Yet we now cherish its history & the skills involved & we hate the digital machinery ..

The way they sharpen the pencils is so satisfying. I could watch that all day
the people who invent and create these machines to do such intricate work are amazing.
I have no idea how humans made all of these processes like 50 years ago. I bet half the population today can’t figure out one step of this process by themselves
Couldn’t agree more. It is so fascinating that technology endeavor.
I enjoy seeing how things are made and I appreciate the Japanese way of doing things they seem to be very concerned about quality and I like that
This is the first time to see how to make a pencil, so interesting
I like the sakura pink colour, very beautiful
There is something magic about watching a process like this!
Cool! too bad about the music, it ruins it all.
I agree @downhilltwofour00 a simple everyday object that we never think about.
@@tiouip Mute saves it all! 😉
Valeu!
This is very soothing to me and the machines on the assembly line are often very clever in their simplicity. Thank you for posting. ✌️
This one is especially beautiful to me, maybe because of how much I loved writing and drawing with pencils growing up.
Very meticulously produced. My hats off to Japanese people for producing excellent products.
One of the world's best inventions. Amazing video. Glad it was recommended. 🙏🏼

I love the smell of pencil shavings!
It is very satisfying to me to see such a wonderful combination of well-oiled machines and skilled workers. Thanks for making this presentation.
Never knew how a pencil was made and somehow now I am more complete. The workers are dedicated to producing a quality product unlike so much that is being produced elsewhere.
Good quality maintain with mass production process,
Knowledge able video
Ended up buying their pencil. The wood is so much lighter than I thought. Light, yet sturdy grip feeling. Good pencil 👍
I started out working for Harvey Machine Company in the 60’s building pencil mills as they were called. All this brings back memories.
Brilliant ! I love the old school machinery. Thanks a lot, Colin ( UK )

How could someone be passionate about making 10,000 pencils a day, every day, for their entire career? That's called lack of ambition.

Awesome job and thank you for sharing this 😊❤️
thank you for watching:)
The smoothness of the machine are on the next level
salute to those who are giving efforts in this work
How many of you agree with me ???
I disagree sharply
I strongly disagree
Very interesting, thank you. Also it seems like an energy intensive procedure
something about old machinery just fascinates me.
A real treat to watch and see something of making pencils. Pencils, for me, are special and a privilege to have. Thank you.
i could sense the pride in their work.
how could you possibly sense the pride on a CHINESE factory worker?!!😂😂

Thank you for this very interesting video. I could look whole day long. ❤
Thank you for watching❤️
18 seconds in and already I’m 🤤🤤🥹 I wish there was no music though, just the sound of the machines working is 👌🏼
Wonderful, what a fantastic place, where quality clearly matters.
Amazing. Your skills that you've kept for a long time are attractive. I hope you continue to grow, and I hope your UA-cam will do well.❤
5:16. Well that's an important step in the process. Pretty hands-on. Fumbling that will require a 1500 pickup.
That cardboard thing that he was using to batch grab the finished blanks was probably someones temporary solution to go faster.. then it became the company solution 😂
I'd like to see how the leads are made. But this is an awesome video! How cool would it be to work in a factory like that? For little while, anyway.
Es genial 🤩👍
Gran trabajo y gracias por compartir 🙏
PERFECT 👏🏼. We are expecting more pen making videos from Pilot pen and Mitsubishi unibal pen 🎉❤

I would pay extra to use pencils made by Kita-Boshi. They take such pride in their work!
I just watched 10 minutes of people making pencils. How is this so entertaining

The difference in Japanese manufacturing is the inspection. 💯

I have been there, you can visit. My kids loved it. They also have a modelling type clay made from the recycled wood.
I don’t know why but I imagined at the end he just writes “HELP” 😂
It’s company’s name lol
Beautiful working
helpful video now i know how pencils are made
Wow! And I thought they would just take a whole tree and wiggle it down until only the pencil is left.
Wonderful! Thanks so much!
