Even high tier heroes like Thor & Surfer got rag dolled by them. Now Odin gets $#*@ on by Jane Foster or Angelica. The Celestials get overpowered by The Avengers. Galactus is constantly getting pawned. Mephisto in his realm used to melt Mjolnir, scare the bejesus out of Dr Strange and Dr Doom combined. Now he gets knocked around by Doom in a fist fight. Marvel writers have destroyed their own mythos.

Love it, Zeus being shown as an actual god and not just a punching bag to make the hero of the day look good is wonderful and it is always immensely satisfying to see Hulk get the brakes beaten clean off of his big green ass. It should happen a lot more often.

I actually like this fight. It shows us that Hulk may be one of the strongest characters of all time, but there will always be someone stronger than him.

I could fill several pages of Marvel characters stronger than Hulk. He has unlimited via his anger for PHYSICAL strength. Most people don't look past that sentence and understand what it means. It wouldn't be interesting to just have other strong characters defeat him by tossing him into space (Thor, Spiderman, have done this, making him ineffective essentially), chucking him into a portal to another dimension, etc. Most of the cosmic beings could turn him into cosmic goo lol. Reality warpers would just have a field day. He is popular so they jack him up in the story, but he is beatable. I wouldn't bet against him in an arm wrestling bout though lol

I always thought it was because Wonder Woman uses the Greek pantheon a lot so they use the Norse pantheon as the de facto one to sort of differentiate themselves from DC

Zeus defeating hulk makes sense, I’ve been a hulk fan since I was a kid, but it’s like if I like captain America and then say, oh but captain America is stronger than Spider-Man just because im a fan of cap. We all know that’s not true. I hate that I have to repeat myself, just because hulk gets stronger with rage means nothing if the person or in this case god that he’s fighting can take him out with a punch or two.

This is how it should be. Skyfathers are beyond characters like Hulk. Even Thanos was unable to injure Odin in their fight. Though he did a hell of a lot better than Hulk did here. I usually find Pak a writer who doesn't do justice to everyone around Hulk but this was done right. Hulk has no chance against Zeus. Good edits too, and a well placed duck.

The curse/magical ability has nothing to do with the strength of the affected. He could get as angry as he's able..wouldn't matter. The only thing that I can think of that could save him is the whole healing/regeneration aspect of his power set.. thoughts ?

I usually catch these around 1:00 - 4:00 a.m. as like clockwork for the last 8 years I awake from a nightmare where my closest friends die, the orphanage is rocked by a near to constant barrage of RPG and 7.76 rounds (the whole village had to die because the nuns had the audacity to teach the young orphan girls to read and the villagers accepted the food we gave them after the Taliban had taken all of their food as a tax. Leaving them with the choice to accept our food or starve over the winter. I'm passing out from blood loss unable to continue laying down fire. Unable to move I watch my brothers fall. The nuns laying on top of the children as if their bodies could stop the bullets. It takes me a bit to remember I'm home and my miracle of a Daughter is asleep across the hall..CAN'T go back to sleep. Can't focus enough to read and desperately DO NOT want to wake up my Daughter...for her to glimpse the weight of my failure the iniquity in my eyes. I want to sincerely thank you for your content that reminds me of a childhood full of comics and the belief that I could/would in some small way live up to the ideals represented in those pages.

Tbf, the times Hulk won were under specific circumstances. Thor by himself absolutely can and has beaten Hulk on multiple occasions, even amped Hulks in base form. Thor also has feats that puts him above Hulk. From minor things like Thor being able to swing the Thing's jaw off, a feat not even World breaker Hulk Could perform, to major things like piercing the Chaos King to save Hercules. Overall, Thor has always been powerful.
All 3 of you are correct. But it's quite sad how much they have to nerf and dumb Thor and other Gods down once the Avengers and especialy the Hulk is somewhere near.

I’m a dedicated hulk fanboy, have been my whole life.
I was not at all surprised hulk lost to Zeus.
Zeus is not someone that hulks power set is particularly effective against, since zeus has the magic to basically negate the hulks strength. Now, hulk is resistant to basically every form of damage but Zeus is no one to fuck with, hulk bit off more than he could chew in that moment.
Now, here’s where the fanboy speculation is about to come in so take this with a grain of salt.
From what I’m seeing in the Donny cates run of the hulk, which built off the immortal hulk and the one below all, the starship hulk might actually be able to take Zeus but only at stage 8+. Stage nine is the titan hulk and given the mfs hulk had to fight in the engine room to get that powerful, Zeus would get clapped.
But thats a very unrealistic scenario because the titan hulk was the last thing banner wanted to see when it happened, so idk if we will see it again any time soon.
I remember the old video where time to play the game and had enough from breaking Benjamin were the songs. Was that one your video? Either way revisiting this was nostalgic. Awesome as always man.

It's not. Zeus is a skyfather. He's a cosmic entity above even Thanos. It makes all the sense in the world and isn't a knock against the Hulk that he took a big fat L. That's a King among Gods.

@@adrianquinonez6667 Fernando previous posted some of Asgard and Olympus vs Heaven before. The artwork and storyline is unimpressive and the violence seems gratuitous from a Christian perspective. I graduated from a Christian Bible College but my opinion is that the "god" of the bible is as made up as Odin or Zeus. Whatever the real thing is, it is not what humans wrote about thousands of years ago.

When I used to see a character in comic books being referred to as a pantheon God, I believed them to be nigh omnipotent. Now both Marvel and DC have their heroes going toe to toe with these Gods. That lessons the word and makes it hard for me to root for a hero able to put up even a fraction of a fight against a God. Much like the Phoenix Force. These mortal heroes able to battle and repel the Phoenix Force ? If Marvel wanted to give the King of the Greek Gods his due, there should have been no question as to whether or not he could squash the Hulk. This is no slam on Hulk as I have been a fan since I was a child.

Hulk didn't want to fight Zeus and wasn't trying, he says it himself and he was trying to save his friends and not to mention Zeus took away Hulks abilities. If Zeus had his abilities taken away and it was just all brute strength then Zeus would loose. They should do a rematch where Hulk has his power and Zeus does too. WBH Hulk wins.
I agree that hulk wasn’t really trying to fight, but its not like zeus magically nullified hulks healing factor. It was more like he over taxed it. I don’t think the notion of Zeus only having brute strength and not his other abilities really makes much sense. I’m pretty sure Zeus’ physical strength is tied directly to his other godly powers, and that he just makes himself irrelevantly stronger than opponents that can’t warp reality.
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 nah been stated in comics that Zeus is power is different from his strength. The lighting actually buffs him and it's why lighting is on his fists when he hits the Hulk. Hulk wanted to be redeemed and never wanted to kill or fight Zeus to the death but free his family.

Not even close. If he went all out he would still get bodied. Zeus can Amp his strength far beyond Hulk. Maybe in theory with enough time and rage he could get there but that's so absurdly beyond what could happen in a fight. Zeus is a skyfather, and that puts him on another level from Hulk. Hulk is herald level, and it shows in this comic.

There starting battle Zeus said he wanted to exchange blows with fists only but then Hulk sends him flying and from that Zeus throws his thunderbolt and it didn't even phase Hulk so Zeus was cocky to exchange blows but then released he cannot so he used his powers and then buffed his shots with his electricity as you can see clearly when he attacks Hulk with lighting all around his fists. The he Depowers the Hulk and stops his abilities which means ontop of Hulk not wanting to fight but be redeemed and used as a sacrifice for the innocent as those words are red from Zeus wife as she reads his mind, this wasn't a battle. It's all one sided. It's like making Zeus fighting the Hulk when he didnt want to and all his abilities are gone and yes Zeus abilities buff his strength, he is physically strong but not as physically strong as the Hulk without his special abilities such as his lighting. If Zeus fought Hulk just fists or Hulk as World Breaker I assure you it would be alot different. Hulks punch against Onslaught warped and shifted reality and time itself and he wasn't even World Breaker there. So imagine World Breaket with those punches to Zeus. This battle has been explained many times on exactly how I said. Hulk never wanted to fight but get what was owed to him but then when Zeus would not give him that, he then instead wanted to be sacrificed to be redeemed and let his loved ones be freed as stated by Zeus's wife.
