@@dontran1988 thanks for the support but this IS NOT a review. This is just an overview where i basically show the product and demonstrate what it does and explain things. When i do a review i will have some time using it and share the issues ive found and theres a few so far but im waiting to hear back from smallrig for guidance as this thing came with no manual that describes how to maintain it or repair it and its different than any other tripod. I also will demonstrate the issues and try and come up with solutions. But also keep in mind this is the 1st tripod of its kind.
@@KrisLuckPhoto the 1st batch next batch will be in november. It depends if i got ur order in before they went to preorder status. Did u order dir3ct from smallrig or did u order from adorama?
@@rayo5685 ur comparing a monopod to an actual tripod. The tribex is a tripod the pineta is a monopod with tripod feet. Monopods require u to hold them. U cant leave ur camera on a monopod otherwise u risk it falling over if u get a gust of wind. Monopods are great for portability but are bad for stability by themselves. I can walk away from the tribex and not worry if my 4,000 dollar camera setup will fall over from a gust of wind cuz i know it wont. The tribex is kind of a big tripod, but u are also getting a fluid head with it and thats partially what makes the price so high.
Sweet, just checked out your video, You definitely had much better lighting. It's just been cloudy and raining here non stop since I got it. But I wanted to get some videos out about it. Also what editing software are you using? I tried filming in my cargo trailer with work lights on and it just didn't seem to help. Also how did you end up cleaning it after being at the beach with it?
@@isaac.schultz you didnt get any inside the legs? I got a peice if dirt or something in there and now mine doesnt deploy all the way. Small rig is asking em to send it back and give me a new one in like a month but idk if i want to send it back.
@@isaac.schultz well the thing is normal tripods you can disassemble them and clean them, like take off the legs and clean the sleeves. This one u cant. They basically are just like send it back so we can send u a new one after i asked for guidance on how to maintain and clean it out after the leg started sticking. But im very good at discovering issues with products and then i try and find solutions to those problems. I will cover the issues in a review video after i put more time behind it.
yes you can and in my new video I show how you change the head. Check it out here this should take you straight to the time stamp where I show how to remove the head. ua-cam.com/video/OWBD5Rafpg0/v-deo.htmlsi=77xz6_J_lpcR-VnH&t=671
I wanted the subject to be the tripod however it doesnt give that option in the menu. Basically makes me pick person, car, animal. So i set it to auto. And i had spot af on and set it for the middle hoping it would focus when i put the tripod closer to show things. But i will have to play around with the subject only function i havent really used it yet.
nice review!
