This game is the most underated RTS out there. The campaign is triple A quality and there is plenty of free content for a very reasonable price, and the game goes on sale often. Multiplayer is fun but you will have to wait a few minutes between each match. This game has far exceeded my expectations, I actually like it better than Company of Heroes 2, more people need to give this a shot, its waaaay better than you could possibly imagine.
I love the RTS genre. So I'm sure I'll be chastized, and it's going to make even myself cringe a bit, when i say I'd love to see this world but in the 3rd person over the shoulder adventure style that's taken over sony since TLOS came out. Don't get me wrong, this is a great RTS. Brings me back to my COC Generals and Real War days as a kid. I grew up with a bunch of different RTS games in the early 2000s, so those and WWII shooters are my childhood. This is a great game, but as a spinoff, it'd be cool to have a story driven 3rd person over the shoulder shooter. Something that can put this world and the absolute size of these mechs in real perspective. I mean, look at the menu art! Amazing. In game graphics make the mechs look small. It's a great game, and I'd love to see more, but also this spinoff, as the menu art alone is captivating enough.
If you like RTS, play it. I tried at first, but I have this habit of going into skirmishes. Bad idea. You gotta go through at least some of the campaign to get an idea of how to approach battles. Maybe I'm just stupid. Either way, if you like the RTS genre, this is a good addition to your library. There also is mention of a "Shogunate" in the campaign, so it's not out of the question.
I enjoyed and finished its campaign. But the multiplayer scene is not very active, finding quick match takes about 7-10 minutes and no active streamers on twitch make me wonder if this game's PvP wouldn't last as long as I want it to be. Meanwhile, CoH2 PvP is still very active even after more than 9 years of its release.
I played this game and ran into a game breaking bug on the last 10 turns of the final mission. Looked around for a fix or and never saw an update, left it and havent looked back. It was an interesting game with some strange mechanics.
All my reviews I have tried to limit as much spoilers as possible. There's essentially nothing in the video that you will be spoiled on story or narrative. The snippets I include are specifically disconnected enough. But as always, there's a minor spoiler disclaimer.
@@kzugaming4287 Even with the discount in not sure its worth it. Im going to compare it to MOW AS2 .. And every review I see, its lacking when compared to AS2. Even worse.... Its now on console... So expect the console peasant dumbing down to start.
I'd call that faction... uhhh... what about Lombardien? Sorta like how Germany became Saxony. If they had a French faction it should 100% be called Gallia
@@everythingiseconomics9742 that name is far more cooler and fit the alternate history theme of the game, hope devs expand the factions so that it will make the game lore not only diverse but flesh out...
I'm so hesitant on this one. I'd be buying it on Series X for roughly 10% off at around $60 AUD which is around $30 USD i believe... I just can't decide on it. I love RTS on console. Halo wars, C&C3, Rift Breaker.... its either this or... Sudden Strike 4 Complete Edition for a third of the price.
I dont think it looks at all 10 years old. It looks the same as COH 3. The cinematics are a million times better than warcraft 3. No way are you serious saying they are similar. I dont think you replayed older games in the last years to see how they look.
Polonia can’t coexist with a Germany around Prussia, hence the shift to Saxony. I don’t like alternate history. Forget the history, but legs are simply not as effective for war machines, when wheels or tracks could do a better job. Artistic license in a Polish fantasy.
You can call this guy a smug hater -nothing is apparently good enough for him and his review is garbage. There are far better more fair reviews of this game.
if anyone is interrested, the book trilogy "Leviathan" really dives in to something like this and makes it even better.
Leviathan, Behemoth, and Goliath?

The art and world of this game is so intriguing!
Bought it for ps5 14€ plus the dlc. Average campaigns with nice story. The movement is v3ry good. Thumbs up from me❤
Saw this game on steam and then this video, lovely review!

I totally agree. I'd play any genre from this world. TPS, RPG, turn-based strategy, Minecraft mod; whatever I could get my hands on.
I'm not going to lie I could picture exactly what you described . It would look bad ass.
Keep up the good work mate :)
I was intrigued by this, but reviews like this steered me clear of it. If they ever add a Japan or Norse DLC, I'll prob check it out. Great video!

It has a great campaign but skirmish and multiplayer aren't good.
Much need info, thanks!
Watching this as I download it on Gamepass for PC. Fingers cross it'll be worth the hour of waiting and bandwidth lol.

Hey could you have done this maybe without the campaign spoilers? I am watching this to decide to play the game.

Very nice game. Recommended...
Ive had this on my Steam wish list since it was announced.
Its still on my wish list. I just cant bring myself to click 'buy'
Now you Can there is a discount

Just bought it ahaha
the game is now permanently 19.99
That's a much better price.
Why do I have a feeling someone is making a mod for Men of War: Assault Squad 2?
If they add italionic faction(italy) DLC with very light mechs calles musolleni proto 1 i would buy the game no question ask...

Hm, basically Company of Heroes but the tanks have legs.
Was tempted to get this on console... but since the price for that is way up there I'ma let it slide, atleast for now. Thanks for the review
If you get a PC wait for the winter sale and you can get the game and all dlcs for 20 bucks
Another game that will be dumbed down for the peasant box players.

on sale right now for a littler under $10 on steam
its free on gamepass right now! and total war warhammer 3!

Why can't you use the English voice acting?
Why didn't you use the English voice acting?
well are they supposed to be english speakers?
If they make albion/ shogunat it will be so cool. (steam pank ships walkers
Hey! I enjoyed Iron Harvest. How can you say it's terrible?
I did not say it was terrible? Check my rating meter.
Its going to be terrible.
The peasantbox players will moan until its dumbed down
@@sahhull you can easily tell how old someone is when they cling to the idea of "console wars"
im only part way, but i have to say this is some of the laziest level design ive ever seen in an rts before and the story makes me barf lol
