If I have 7 case fans, can I buy one ARGB hub, connect all of them there, and control each one separately? With daisy chaining, that wouldn't be possible, right?
@@nichtluke Hub is the controller it's a different term for it, Splitter is normally for Fan Power PWM But you can get splitters for argb as well here's a ARGB Hub amzn.to/3Cp7kRT
So i daisy chain my fans with the 3 pin connection and i put the 3 pin intake onto the motherboard ARGB, do i need to also put in the 4 pin for cpufan and will it daisychain the other fans for fan speed? Or do i only need to plug in the 3 pin and ignore the 4 pin cpufan on MOBO?
@@WELSHYTECH i connected the 4 pin fan from the second fan into the 3 pin connector splitter and the first fans 4 pin into the 4 pin connector, and put the 4 pin receiver splitter into the cpufan 4 pin on MOBO for CPUFAN I also daisychained the 2, 3 pins and then put the 3pin receiever into the MOBO for ARGB Is this correct??

so i got the ones you have TL-M12R-S. the look nice, especially for the price. I chained some together but i only get the mirroring effect in SignalRGB. cant get them to work as a stripe. only the first 10 LEDs get recognized and mirrored onto every fan. should be 40 in the chain. i get the feeling they dont work with gen2 argb syncing... do you have any idea or maybe got it to work yourself?
@@WELSHYTECH tried RGB Fusion for my Gigabyte MoBo but it wont sync them. only Mirror. Just to be clear: you daisychained (lets say 3) the fans, Power and ARGB, to your mobo power and argb header an can set the first fan to green, the second one to blue WHILE the first one is still green. And so on. Thats how it sould work i think, but i cant get it to work like that. :(
@@TehKusja if you Daisy chained them you can't control each fan individually its not how it works you would have to connect the fans separately in order to set each fan
@@WELSHYTECH no, you are wrong about that. Thats the whole point of ARGB Gen2. you are supposed to adress every LED in a given chain. Up to 120 per Header i think. with gen 2 you dont need a controller. But i suppose the fans do not support the function. the documentation on ARGB is shit. There is only one Brand of fans actively saying they support Gen2. Sucks cuz of the price. :( That leaves me with the option of a dedicated conroller. Any suggestions? got 14 ARGB fans... a little overkill but the case would look like ass with less....
I have a question, I have no idea about PC’s, I bought mine from a person who built it but I have no idea how to change the RGB. I don’t know if they’re connected to the motherboard but they’re on and spinning, I’ve tried every rgb software to change them but they don’t detect them. What do I need to fix?

I bought thermalight tl-c12c-s argb case cooler and i have x79 pro v3.1. motherboard i know that this motherboard doesnt have argb port for case cooler where can i connect my cooler argb cable
Great explanation. But when using a controller (eg. Thermaltake TT Sync SATA Powered 9 Port Addressable LED Controller) than you can also add different brands. And than with the software from thermaltake you can adress them als well in PWM mode or custimze them. So that narrows the difference between the two (RGB vs ARGB)? or am I missing something. Only one is through the software of company, and the other is through the BIOS?
Addressable rgb is 5v, some brands have their own software rgb and argb are different because one is 12v the other is 5v Software most argb software works with other brands but not all
@@s0032824 Caution: Due to safety and motherboard software signal limitations, SWAFAN EX ARGB is only recommended to daisy-chain maximum 5 fans per cable. you can only daisy chain 5 fans to one header remember more you add more the 5v signal you will lose so keep that in mind
....so if fans have 2 sets connectors...then 3 pin for rgb & 4 pin for power...or their 2 separate systems both 3 pin light & power 4 pin light & power..? Thanks
The 5v 3-pin is strictly for the ARGB, and the 12v 4-pin is strictly for powering the fans motor, which can also be daisy chained. The 4-pin can be connected to either a 3-pin or 4-pin 12v fan header on the motherboard.

Hey brother i got a quick question right i got gamdias cpu cooler m1 610 the argb was working but i cleaned out my pc today and it stopped working the fan spins but no leds any ideas?
You can control the single fan, and through software, they should just sync up there's a difference between RGB and ARGB one is a 4pin 12v which is RGB and other is 3pin ARGB which is 5v
@@WELSHYTECH Ah yes I bought an ARGB Controller of the same brand. So basically I'm setting up for a 9-fan configuration: 3 fans above for radiator, 4 front panel, 1 bottom, and 1 back fan.

Nope, you have to connect them separately in order to control them individually

The CPUFan is for your cpu cooler so if using a Aio you use the CPUFan to control the fans

This shows how to daisy chain for the RGB to make them spin. You would need to plug in the 4 pin PWM connector

The fans work just fine for me. I'd always suggest using Motherboard software to control the ARGB

Take off the back panel and see if there's a square black box if so it means its controlled by a controller and Is normally controlled by a remote

4pin PWM Connectors you connect all 3 up to a 4Pin Header on your Motherboard

My Motherboard (MSI B450 PRO VDH MAX) doesnt have the 3 pin JRGB Connector for the ARGB :( Is there anything I can do?

if you are planning on using more Than 3 Then get a hub I wouldn't daisy chain more than 3 fans as the more you add the worse the 5v signal is

my thermalright fans are daisy chained and connected but they don't light up and im not seeing them in signal rgb either it drives me nuts
How many have you got connected up and is the end ARGB 3PIN Connector connected to your motherboard?

Check the cooler for a cable at the back of the case just incase you unplugged something
What's the difference between the "S" and none "S" versions?
Well i used to think it stood for silent but I got corrected by someone it stands for ARGB version with a S and none S is no ARGB
