For the price and as a case fan (Amazing) fans.. Even with the slight discolouration still very good for the price, black ones are £14.99 per pack of 3 from Amazon.. Great vid, Thanks Mike & Kath...
Good review Mike.I like the neat look of the fan casing and blades;but like you say;the downside of the fans is the low through flow of air.Thank you for sharing the video Mike and Kath 👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
these are rather disappointing Thernalright have been doing so well recently, i expected better. But luvky they are covered by Amazon 30 returns so it is possible to return them and get something else more suitable
Nice looking fans Mike. I just bought a Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1700 RPM (Grey} 70.75 CFM @ Max RPM and 2.83 of Static Pressure for my tower cooler. CPU temps are higher than I like. These have no RGB which is fine. Amazon US sells these for $15.95USD. Thanks for sharing Guys. Take care. Cheers
Surprising outcome as love the rgb effects and look well built but do not see the point of being silent when dont push air to keep components cool! Great price but ultimately rather pay for effective cooling! Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath, lets hope next version improves on airflow 🐈👍
I use the darkrock 3 pack on Amazon for 9 bucks. Been working great in my system. Have 2 up top and added one up front for a total of 6 case fans then the 2 fans that came with my thermalright spirit, keeps my case nice and cool
@@mikesunboxing thx im just looking for something cheap and quiet to take up some extra space in my white corsair 3000D airflow. Temps are not an issue.
I've got some of these, well other model that don't have the rgb rim and a 80mm non light up fan in a couple systems and they seem to do a decent job and look good. I haven't run those for very long though as I'm currently using a test bench system, but for the price they are pretty decent. They are much quieter than the similar priced artics & corsairs to name 2. Even if you have a window case, you cant really tell if there's any imperfections on the fan shroud.
I don't really know what it is, but despite the S version of these getting a bad rep on here, I bought the S12W and these move a really good amount of air - especially noise normalized. Comparatively to the C12, which had a better air flow result on here, these move a lot more air, especially in the longer ranges. The C12 also has turbulence on any close range installation.
hey Mike, any possibility you can review the Thermalright TL-C12B-S V3 3 Pack case fans? it seems to be an upgrade over the Thermalright TL-C12C-S 3 Pack you reviewed in the past they also sell it at the usual budget price of $12-14 (Amazon for 3 pack) and it seems to have significant improvements over the latter fans i mentioned. Love the content as always
Hi, Mike. Personally, those RGB fans in White are not all that good looking, and the lack of static pressure is a deal breaker for sure. Also, I don't like the wiring. I've used a lot of fans over the years, and the ones I like the most are still the Arctic P14 PWM 140 mm Case Fans, currently priced at $60 USD for a 5-pack. They're fairly quiet at 100%, they can push a ton of air through radiators, and they can easily be daisy-chained. Take care and give my best to Kath.
yeah the non rgb p14's are great and have been a top choice for years now. the ARGB versions are good but have really odd wiring which is a shame otherwise they would be 100% my go to argb fans at the price
Hi Mike, I'm wondering what program you use to get the RGB fans working? I bought them and tried all the other brands' programs and it doesn't work for me.
Lol, I have a bank of C-12s as exhaust and out of 11 case fans...they're the only ones failing (bearing noises, chuffing) unsurprisingly ALL of my Thermaltake Pure fans are FINE.

Thanks for trying them out I use the c12s in a lot of builds so I would’ve been tempted to try these at some point, you saved me the headache.
Glad I could help!
Great review Mike .It looks like they are like Christmas lights, more of a decorative object than a practical item.
My thoughts exactly

swanky fans there rick! hope they drop your temps

yeah these were disappointing after the previous models. such a shame as they look great
Airflow mirflow. they look very cool.
Thanks for the review 😀
haha, i wish i could overlook it but these fans are seriously lacking in airflow
lolz 1500rpm is fine for me, but Mike wants that cfm so respecting his disapproval. Give us a big RPM range and let us decide.

Thumbnail says don’t buy these. Watched the video and basically convinced me to buy these.
haha nice one, hope you like them

i use asus armory crate or msi mystic light generally
I'd say the same about the TL-M12 models. They look amazing and are quiet but they barely push air.
such a shame
Good review.
Glad you enjoyed it
what software did you use to control the ring RGB separately from the fan rgb. signal rgb changes both of them together.
i didn't and that was mentioned in the video that the outer ring can't be controlled separately
Can the lights from the blades be turned off? I only want the halo light effects.
no sorry
Looks great but doesnt perform well.......sounds like my lasty performance assessment 🙂
haha sounds like we have something else in common
Well, as they say. If you can't cut the mustard, you can still lick the jar. LOL
Oy Bob !
Thermalright value for money is unmatched! Such a shame about the performance of these
yeah really disappointed with these, and they look great
Hi i came from the video u showed us how to reset xbox series s video settings i just wanna ask u if that method delete any data please answer asap
if you have a different model x box it can do. it is ONLY for series s digital only

good old thermaltake
can we separately control the outer ring of fan? as if i want that just ring to glow, the rest of fan should not,, is it possible
no sorry, you want the thermaltake swafan RGB for that
@@mikesunboxing by using any 3rd party software...🤔
Can I control the lighting colors?
Yes you can with a 5v argb header on the case or motherboard
Great fans.
