It’s called POE cameras which stands for Power Over Ethernet. Just to make it easy buy the POE cameras that way you don’t need the extra wire for powering the cameras
@@retiredandhappyinphilippin3329 Cool....looking fwd to your installation video...I am debating whether to do myself when we build the house....not sure how complicated this is
That’s a lot of stuff that you guys bought. All you need is the NVR, Ethernet cables, and the POE cameras. The Ethernet cable will power your camera. You just plug in one end to the camera and the other end to the NVR.
You can actually plug your Ethernet cable into the DVR and download the app if you wanna view your cameras from your iPhone or Android remotely anywhere in the world as long as you are connected to the Internet.
Is there a Great need for this in the Philippines ? I have one here in Mexico but I do not get package Delivery here. There is no big problem with home robbery here in Mexico.
Im not sure about the plastic, they work the same difference is the metal is a bit bigger and weather proof...probably if theres branches fall it will be safe too 😅
Retired and Happy in Philippines I see, but the plastic is still weatherproof? I can maybe place it somewhere with no trees perhaps inside the garage. Having a bit of buyer's remorse with this! I bought two of those plastic ones with the 4 channel DVR variant similar to yours. I suppose next two cams I get would be the metal one and the Colorvu same as yours for the front door. Care to share which other cctvs you own?
I own the colorvu 5mp bullet metal they also have dome for indoor and were planning to get that too for inside house.. This 2 we have is test for us thats why we got 16 channel DVR and power supply becAuse once our house is build we will be placing maybe 10 of the colorvu and some will be dome
Plastic may be ok but try to install the camera where direct sun light cannot hit it. Sun light will degrade plastic. In mountainous areas, like Baguio, hail can occur. Shield the camera so hail and tree limbs cannot strike it.

Oh no I bought the plastic bullet one! Wonder how they'll perform and if they're durable enough for outdoors.
