Text Particles Effect in Davinci Resolve

In this Davinci resolve tutorial, I'll share with you how to create a text particle animation and blow those particles away from the screen. We'll also see together some interesting functionality from the particle emitter to transform our particles into snowflakes, bubbles or leaves.
I've provided timestamps so you can easily jump between sections:

It's brilliant. Love the speed and delivery of your presentation. I use Linux Studio with dual 4K monitors. Put your tutorial on left monitor, Davinci on right. I practice building the effect until it matches yours. Great way to learn. Je te remercie.

As of now I don't have the time to publish 5 videos a week and publish templates of what I make, cause making it is one thing but making sure it works properly for being re-used takes a bit of time to prepare and test.
But eventually when i'll have bit more time on my end I'll make update on the starter pack with those kind of assets.
Now I'm going to make myself disappear.

Hey ! Useful tips. If I want text or logo reveal from particles do I have to use Timespeed nodes to reverse the animation you just created or there is another way ?
Never try the other way around, yes using Timespeed would be the first thing I would try. I'm not sure if there's a way to invert particle movement directly in the Emitter or Turbulence node. I'll dig into it, thanks for your question!

Once you've reach a decent level of understanding of any kind of visual software it's mostly experimenting and see what tools do what to create what you want, but like everybody sometime I'm stuck and I need specific things so I look up on youtube or on forums. But for the most part just banging my head on my screen for a few hours until things works ahaha

any tips for a faster playback? I set my timeline Proxy Resolution to "Quarter" and i also set the Number of particles to 500 while working. Do u have any more recommandations? thank you
Not really unfortunately 3D and particles are very heavy, I'm on a M1 Max and I still experience some performance issues sometimes

One question, did you your pc crash anytime doing this animation on fusion? And what's your Pc spec?
No it didn't but definitely slower than usual whenever I work in 3D or with particles, it's pretty heavy to work with.

following the tutorial step by step but I can't see the particles... Not sure why. (btw... I have the studio version)
If i shot a 4k video, work a in 1920x1080 or 1080x1920 timeline, then render in 1080 x 1920 or 1920 x1080, do i lose the quality of my video? Thank you
Yes, you should then export in 4K not HD if you went to retain your 4K quality
is quad core i7 3.7 with 64ram and 8gb gpu enough for this? im getting really slow results

how does it work if I want to use smoke or fogg from fast noise instead of partikles?
Not sure what you mean, in what context do you want to do that?
@@VideoEditorStudio I once saw in a film that the title text in the intro has dissolved into "fog". Almost like the "Particles" you used in the tutorial but it looked more like something like "fast noise" was used
@@ReisenmitJally You can get a more smoky effect with particle, fast noice doesn't really allow you the kind of control to achieve an effect like this one. But it can be achieve with modifying the texture of the particles, I'm still fairly new to it, i'll try to make a tutorial about it

hi, i'm looking for a tutorial where i can cut out my face, or head, and transform the superficie with textures (like fire, rock shape like) and maybe make it like a superficie with cuts (like a the hellraise) but pulsing. The idea is making a avatar who can be transformed but still have my traces and reactions (mouth, eyes) in vídeos.

This is a great effect... but whenever I do it and add it to my Vid and render it, my Davinci resolve crashes hence I can't render my video. Is this normal?

You're spec seems to be fairly good to me, but I would say yes it doesn't surprise me. Fusion still really struggle to process well stuff in 3D environment, particles and complex node structure. I have a M1 Max 32g and I'm running into issues sometime as well, it's a bit unpredictable
