We had only one thing We had Rolling Stones and then we had Stax boys No stupid compromise what so ever. God I miss them so much their love for life brother and sister Stefan and Monika. I still dance excellent and people get scared "What about this good behaviour thing? That's exacly what this music was about. To break behaviours
No one can dislike this masterpiece of live performing.. I'm in my 20s and my generation needs to learn about the epitome of musical perfection which was Otis Redding.
A great magical performance everytime he was . Hard working on stage.I was around 6 to 7 years old when he died in that plane crash. Sadly missing that kind of entertainment. Continue Rest on. The great Big O
I just love UA-cam. This is the first time I've seen this video and I really enjoyed it. I was blessed to see Otis Redding perform in person several times. He was truly a dynamic performer who gave you more than your money's worth.
This video provides perfect memories of Ottis for me. Just amazing - esp for a timid little lady growing up in rural Australia. Have loved the word "soul" ever since. Thanks Otis for what you gave us, packed into too few years.
I love living in the Motor City but always preferred the Memphis (Stax) sound and artists to the MoTown vibe. And who are those stunning dancers? Oh, my!
The drummer is a graduate of The Al Jackson, Jr. University Of Keep Hitting That Fucking Snare As Hard As You Can!! Whoever that guy was is the closest you could get to Jackson himself who was the "Benny Benjamin" of Stax Records. Outstanding, and let us not forget that Otis is handing The Temptations asses to them on "My Girl", which was no easy feat AND showing us EXACTLY HOW to perform "Respect". UH?, Reefa, WHO?????
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day When it's cold outside I've got the month of May I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My girl (my girl, my girl) Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl) I've got so much honey the bees envy me I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My girl (my girl, my girl) Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl) Hey hey hey Hey hey hey Ooh I don't need no money, fortune, or fame I've got all the riches baby one man can claim I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My girl (my girl, my girl) Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl) I've got sunshine on a cloudy day With my girl I've even got the month of May With my girl
I'm mad because I never knew the temptations stole this from ottis redding I'm 27 btw, and I'm shocked to know the music industry has been dirty since the 60s maybe even the 50s nd 40s,
But... Smokey Robinson wrote this for The Temptations in 1964 when David Ruffin had replaced Ed Bryant. Smokey knew that David's voice was something unique and had to write a song that fit his voice the best. And that was My Girl...
+berry iggy The Temps had been a group since the late 50s but by old names. Their last name they had was The Elgin's and when they had got a record deal with Berry Gordy and Motown Berry Gordy said they had to change they're groups name since a bigger well known singing group at the time was already called The Elgin's. So write there on the porch of Motown records they started passing around ideas for a knew name and that's when Otis Williams (who is now the last remaining original member) got the idea for The Temptations and the name stuck... So you should read up on your facts next time since Otis died in 67 and the Temps got famous before Otis did...
He had more soul in his pinky finger that 99% of people in the world
I am old. Saw Otis perform live on stage in DC. Circa 1964. He was utter magic. Ah, youth.
I'm old, too (I feel like I am 25, though). Being old means that we got to see Otis Redding perform in person. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
Are you still dancing in the dark?
We had only one thing We had Rolling Stones and then we had Stax boys No stupid compromise what so ever. God I miss them so much their love for life brother and sister Stefan and Monika. I still dance excellent and people get scared "What about this good behaviour thing? That's exacly what this music was about. To break behaviours

How could this true legend die so soon?
There will never be another. Otis was simply the best.
That's a fact!
The band ain't doing too bad, either. Check out those horns and that bass.
We lost a BIG star too early...
Otis is a legend. No one can sing like him
No one can push it like he did
my favourite soulman Otis the KING of soul died too young. we miss you Otis.
Talk about energy, he truly had it. Just think, most of all the musicians and dancers are in their late 60's and 70's where did the time go????
In their 80s now, lol
Otis will be adored for another 100 years

This video provides perfect memories of Ottis for me. Just amazing - esp for a timid little lady growing up in rural Australia. Have loved the word "soul" ever since. Thanks Otis for what you gave us, packed into too few years.
I play it non stop in memories of when "disco" was young, before it became boring and just four bars without Soul

+Danny Lopez oh I didn't know that, thank for the info..
+berry iggy
How the heck did you get the idea that The Temps stole this may I ask?
+Danny Lopez because I thought ottis redding died before the temptations started singing
+berry iggy
