I wanted a TL at 35 but because I was a widow, my doc refused - he said I was still young and might remarry and want more children (I had two then). Well....ten years later, still single and No, still don't want anymore children.
Dear Joan. I have now watched your vlog. Still I don't recommend you getting your tubes tied. Lots of issues that docs mostly men don't reveal to you. Very bad for hormonal imbalance and MAY affect your mental and bone health in future. The reality is they don't tie them they CUT AND TIE your tubes and/or re-attach them. Very bad for women. DM me for more info. Your ovaries and egg quality may be affected too in case you decide to do a reversal at 5,000 dollars or more abroad for any reason. Btw dont blame your doc. My gynae in the US also refused to do a TL on me at age 26 after my baby and I was equally upset cause its my body. Later at 40 years old plus my life circumstances changed and I was considering being a mum again. I reflected on my gynaes decision 20 years back and was in awe of his wisdom. I was so glad I could still have a baby after 40. One never knows. Apart from that I did get a TL later and regret it ever since as my body never felt the same again. All your body parts are vital to your well being. Don't change your plumbing and dont go on the pill either cause of Cancer HBP infertility and blood clotting risks. Maybe try the coil.Much love. Mo. Hey @ Mo on the Go.I feel like you are giving alot of false information which some may perceive as the truth.A tubal ligation means a woman's Fallopian tubes are ligated(tied) so the egg produced from the ovary does not come in contact with the man' sperm. It does not cause any hormonal imbalance or lead to early menopause because the ovary is not interfered with. The reason your doctor refused or was hesitant to do a BTL was because of your age and the fact that you might regret in future if you want to have more children as some reversals are known to fail.As for the procedure, the tubes are tied using a suture, the only cutting that is done is to the loop of tube done to reduce changes of pregnancy(you can research on the diff types of BTL).Some methods are reversible.Bone health as you put it is dependent on estrogen and older women due to menopause may develop osteoporosis as the ovaries no longer produce the hormone. A post BTL woman should not worry about it unless they are premenopausal. Contraceptive pills are dependent on the hormone it contains;whether combined which has both estrogen and progesterone or the progesterone only. The combined pill is the one which has a higher breast/cervical cancer risk or clotting not the progesterone pill. They do not cause infertility but may delay ovulation up to a year.I thought you should know!!
Brenda Laureen you're causing women to suffer let me tell you that doc and because of people like you not listening to women's views you're doing more harm than good to reproductive age women and we know that some of these TLs are funded by international organizations keen to stem Black young women's fertility.

I had my last baby who was baby number 2 at 27 by c-section ( my second unplanned csection) the OBGYN told me himself not to have anymore babies because of all the complications I had during both pregnancies, during the delivery in hubby's presence he repeated it and hubby was like ok, let's get a tubal ligation. So We both tell the doctor this is what we really want. Well, the heifer down right REFUSED. He cited that I am under 30 and way too young mtssssss and this is in Canada sis. SO I dot a mirena instead ( IUD) and it worked very well for 5 yrs. I ended up not even going back for the tubal ligation. Also do aqua aerobics but girl pack healthy snacks because babe, you will be super hungry and do be careful coz in the water you feel nothing and when you come out of the water be very careful coz you can be light headed. If you have a fitbit or some sort of tracker it will help you stay within safe range in terms of goal heart rate.
