I had a manual washing machine in Kenya, means it would wash and rinse on one side, then spin on another side, then you have to put the clothes on the line to completely dry, it really helped.
I'm sure you'll enjoy having the machine, it will save you some coins eventually n maybe you can get someone to just help in ironing or those times you need a general cleaning done.

I totally relate with you, lockdown has been hard and it seems it's just the beginning, am at home on leave until further notice. On the bright side I get to spend alot of time with my family. I've noted my daughter also loves peppa pig her favourite line now is 'its impossible'.
That part that you need alone time I get it kabisa....my nanny left too I don't know if I should if I should pay her full salary in the coming months...
@Pamela Nyamota...If you are 8n a position to, pay her and consider it an act of kindness during these trying times. I'm sure she left because of all that is going on now.... ... not comparing but the lady who told her tenants not pay rent indefinitely touched me...every little helps and will be rewarded.

Since I discovered quickmart, never stepped in Carrefour again. Great service and stock. Carrefour never has stock and the service is not good in my opinion.

Lucky Kenyan ladies, main concern during covid-19 AKA Corona for most of you is the nanny or househelp. Elsewhere that's a luxury and probably the last thing because, nannies ain't easy to get or cost a whole lot of $$$$$. So Joan, really nothing to complain about there. Think about how most of our mothers survived with numerous kids and little to no help. With a live-in nanny, you got absolutely nothing to complain about. And just to be able to support your housekeeper, please pay her her full salary for this month. If she set foot in your house for even half the time, consider the effort she put in to come all the way to your house etc. What I would suggest is for you to get a thermometer, for folks coming in and out of your house... be it the nanny, housekeeper, fundi, shamba boy. Anyone who gets into contact with your kids or pets needs checking/monitoring, especially for the sake of those little princesses and Prince. Stay healthy and safe.

Really missed hearing from you, swimming in the tub is next on my to do list, hope I can fit more like soaking in it. Peppa pig oink oink that's nice used to love that cartoon. Trying to get into a routine here and be more productive, sleeping late and waking up even later, also squeezing in some physical activity; exercise, dance to get the juices flowing and also coz I've been baking and consuming too much wheat.
