My vehicles older, so the DRL slot isn't the greatest choice. Only works with key in ignition. Will probably have to tap into the parking lights for them to work with my remote start

I brought new headlights that came with
fuse taps but i don't know what they are for?
everything still works fine without the fuse
taps plugged in... I've tried looking around
but can't seem to find out why i might need
them... are they just for having bluetooth ?
Hey man great idea for the fuse tap. Ive been doing the self install route and I am wondering how exactly you hooked the ground wire up? I thought about soldering but im trying to see how others did it
The ground wire is connected to the negative terminal inside the engine bay
I connected to the negative battery terminal. Mine has an extra small screw for hooking up accessories
Nice job. Can you turn those lights off? So I know if you press the emergency brake the drl goes off but it seems that those don’t.
They're only on if your vehicle is running or in accessory mode. Only way to turn them off while the vehicle is running is through the app. My original drl lights stayed on regardless if the e brake is engaged, so this will behave similar
Do the DRL lights stay on at night?
I just want to connect some underglow LEDs to that fuse...

What is a different fuse that would work? Don't wanna cut the plastic next to drl port.
Need a different switched fuse.
Basically any fuse that's going to be active once the vehicle is started will work

Connected the negative to the regular negative terminal inside the engine bay

I guess the better question would be is how did you secure it to the negative terminal?

Is the red wire coming from the lights? You took it completely off of the positive cable??
Yes the red wire that was connected to the positive terminal is the one I sliced the fuse adapter with and plugged it into the fuse box
You only put the fuse with the original and didn’t put one on the bottom to accessories?
Did you disconnect your battery? I tried taking mine off the fuse box and it sparked on me
No I didn't. But if it's sparking I would disconnect the battery
ALWAYS disconnect your negative terminal before doing electrical work
Can I use any empty fuse slot with new fuse for my strip lights
Not unless u know what that fuse slot is responsible for
Have you had any problems with the led strips
Yeah bro...the products arent that great. I've had to open my lights again and change the strip. And now currently one of the new strip is losing the sync with the colors 😭
Nice! I have 3 Bluetooth controllers. Can I splice all 3 together and connect to the fuse box like this? Will it power all 3 along with all the LEDs?
Yes it should, as long as you want all 3 to be powered on at the same time. Or you can even power to different fuses

The negative is on the negative terminal inside the engine bay that's connected to the battery

Nah no issues at all....lights only use power whenever the vehicle is started

and question? is it safe to connect to the fuel DRL without get a short circuit
Honestly, I'm not sure. But I personally wouldn't connect the fuel fuse.
