@@deanframe9095 I also think it's going in that direction very quickly. There's too many issues piling on top of themselves at this point. We will slowly but surely lose most of everything. We're just at the end of a cycle. So 2030's thur the 2050's may be blank spaces in the futures history books, much like the reset in the late 1800's.
That is similar to our GP (general purpose) medium tent we enjoyed during field deployments during the military. You did a great job setting it up alone. It was usually at least a two man job for us but went up in minutes if we had the whole squad, minus guard duty, working on it.. It was a five minute job if we had 6 or 7 guys putting hands on deck.

Nice smooth setup ! Love the Kodiak 12x12. I have the same tent. Only camped in it 3 times. Absolutely love it. I have the add on front awning/ room... haven't used it as of yet. FYI, tie the extra 4 guy lines on the 4 corners in addition to the already put on 4. Put each at 90° from each other 1 pulling side wall taught, & the other pulling the front wall taught. I am going to try and set up my 12x16 the same way next time. That looked way easier than putting up the ridge pole first. Also like the tennis ball idea on the bottom of the stove. Always nervous about pushing holes through the floor. Great video!

Great video . the tent looks solid and the size of the stakes wow , did they come with the tent ? I live in the south and we have a lot of critters here that will bite you , stick you , or eat you and I want a hot tent with a floor. your tent looks solid and well made I will be looking into one .

I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a canvas tent this winter. I'm waiting until spring to pitch it and season it. Edited to add: You crushed pitching that tent. I've learned that "2 people are required" isn't necessarily true too. I couldn't do this one because it's probably too heavy but I pitched a screen tent that said I needed two people by staking one side.

The Bell tent or the Kodiac?
I like the Kodiak better, but it’s harder to set up. I love the white duck but it’s a little harder to heat up and cool down.
