Hi. Excellent product review. I have this unit in my 1 car garage workshop hanging about 8' from the garage door.
My question may seem silly but I would like to ask for your recommendation where should the air filter be located? And which direction should the exhaust air be pointed? Thank you.
I lost the remote... it should work without remote right? mine wont run with the buttons on the unit. fuse maybe? Not my circuit breaker. Thanks
Great review! Helped me decide to buy one!
Thanks a million! Warm regards from sunny South Africa 🇿🇦
Your welcome my new friend from the Rainbow Nation
Can anyone tell me if this is super loud? I'm looking to running something like this in my garage for just regular environmental dust ( not woodworking). It seems in the video like it's really loud.
This is really helpful, thanks so much for posting this video!
I bought one this weekend and installed in just a few hours, including time to drill bolts to my ceiling rafters and hanging chains. Very simple to operate, seems to do a great job.
thanks! What do you think of it after a year?
I still love it. It does exactly what it claims.
@@natelarge In 2022? Thanks man, appreciate the vid and it was well done!!
Great review. Thank you!
So you're saying this was overkill for the two cats and average house dust generated by a single guy. Well..... I got it at a great price from a jewelry store that was closing. They made jewelry, including cutting stones, grinding metal, and whatever else those kind of things entail. I paid less than what you had mentioned you were going to pay for the mounting hardware. Oh well, let's see how my hearing is in a week.
lol. Sounds like a great deal.
@@natelarge I still have not plugged it in, and I have been doing a lot more work with metals and wood since then. I guess I am afraid of the sound. But really, it's dealing the pounds of black dust from the grinder at that shop that spilled out last time I peeked in it
A bit late at the party.......but, does it also get rid of fumes like paint vapor etc?
An answer is greatly appreiciated.
not good for fumes
I`m not sure if it`s available for this particular unit, still researching these myself, but on other models the addition of a charcoal filter is what they are recommending. Cheers!
Great review. After watching I feel confident this Jet AFS-1000B filtration system is worth the money for my small shop.
Totally agree
@@natelarge What do you think about just sitting it on top of a cabinet that reaches almost to the ceiling. And should it be pointed in any certain direction for maximum effect? Thanks.
Yes I think it will work well up there. As for direction just make sure it is situated to pick up the dirt air and dispersing the clean air.
Thank you.
