So sad. Even sadder is the fact that her grandaughter had to crowd fund for Jason's funeral. Also he has no resting place to visit. Thank you Alan for this video. Did you see the programme about Diana's missing millions? Her so gary cme😊came over and lookid into it. Really interesting programme. Kay. 😊
She was beautiful, I can still see her as Adam Ant’s Fairy Godmother! She was a celeb guest at my hometown carnival. I understand your sentiment of leaving a grave, it’s like meeting them, not seeing them, and then saying goodbye. I do this often in the local cemetery to me.
Hello the Bohemian right to see you. I think it's because I usually watch a documentary and immerse myself in them for a day or two so by the time I get there I do feel like I know them and it feels a little bit sad to be leaving. I wonder if you were looking after see her when she was at the local carnival? Thank you for the great comment as always. Alan

Thank you Alan, what a beautiful resting place and inscription. Diana Dors was a great talent gone too soon. You did a great job, such a wonderful tribute. Well done Alan you’re doing everyone proud and that’s a great thing, to keep going one day at a time and to share your excellent videos with us. Take care 💕😊😊
Hello Joan it will be extremely difficult to think of A person that could connect so well with the audience as much as Diana. She just had that wonderful ability to project humor or drama and just connect and that's why she was so fabulous. I bet seeing her live was great I never did. She was one of those people I would have loved to I've met in real life. I bet she was super interesting. She didn't have the perfect life she got the wrong men until Alan. Isn't it strange? Hope you are feeling okay. Send my love.
A beautiful report Alan. Wonderful headstones, both hers and her husbands, and how lovely their graves are being kept. I wonder who is tending to those graves and flowers. Whoever it is, I send my gratitude to them for such a fabulous job. Well done Alan. This was so well put together, and I'm sure she was there with you - smiling. Sending regards ~ Cobs.
Hi Cobs on the day that I actually filmed this, I was impressed by the fact that the local people were looking after the grave but would you believe that that just as I'd finished, A couple of women pulled up and went down to the grave and we're putting a multitude of fresh flowers and I actually watch them from a distance and I was going to approach them to ask what was the connection by? Decided not to cuz they were very enjoying the moment together. My OCD wanted to film The gravestone when they gone and I actually contemplated doing it again but decided not to because it should be spontaneous to. I sent my love as I left from a distance. Thank you for your beautiful comment. You're always so interesting and complimentary to me. Where do I send the money 🤑💰 seriously, thank you! Much love, Alan
Thanks for this. DD was a girl of my generation and very attractive. She was ruined by bad relationships sadly. Tough bird though, standing up to cancer and the scandalous film and entertainment industry. RIP DD.
Hi NM G it was that couldn't have been a nicer place. It was a quiet spot and I had a nice feeling and she lived very close by. She'll be well remembered in the village. Thank you mate
Hi Alan, she was such a lovely talented feisty lady who was always was so upbeat about life even though life dealt her some pretty rotten cards. I was always so pleased and happy for her that later on in her life, she met and finally found true love and respect from Alan Lake which she very much deserved. Thanks for this lovely video to remember her.
Thank you Sally. That's a lovely reflective observation. None of use outsiders really now what she went through but it seemed like the last chap really cared. It was a shame he did what he did that it's very hard to comprehend but thank you as always. Lovely comment. Look after yourself
Hello Karen she just said that massive personality that came out and she was so talented and funny. Thank you for the lovely coming at the end and the flowers I will water them later...
You got it wrong. Jayne Mansfield was an US Diana Dors. I remember her in Adam Ant's music video Prince Charming and Alan Lake in Doctor Who: Underworld with Tom Baker. She did upset Jon Pertwee when she blanked his wife Inga who she thought (wrongly) that she was German. RIP Diana Dors and Alan Lake.
My mother's family came from Windsor and old Windsor and a uncle worked on the dust carts and often saw Diana ,Alan ,as well as Roger Moore .Richard o Sullivan ,Tessa Wyatt and Bernard bresslaw . ,Not sadly Diana and Alan's son as since died R.I.P
ANOTHER LOVELY VIDEO, Brilliantly presented, again I agree she was a star, she always seemed to be in those British thriller type films, she had decades of filming from 40s right up to the 80s, she was a star, no question about that imo, a lovely place where she lies with Alan, lovely headstones, very young when she died, a beautiful looking lady as well, I often get the feeling you got even looking at normal headstones, you wonder about the life they led, the troubles, the times they went through, so I understand the feelings when you leave them, even though we never met them!!! Again well put together, they certainly bring back thoughts of this wonderful actress.
Thank you tweetie pie. She was larger than life with the X factor megapersonality. Whatever she did it seem to be successful. It was a shame there was the sadness at the end but thank you for the great coming
God Bless Diana x She was beautiful, kind ,fiesty, brave and over all a wonderful human being. I'm in my 30s and I remember a newspaper (cnt remember which one) did a special of the Top 300 most beautiful woman of all time and that was the first time I saw Diana (I was 12) and she has been apart of my life ever since xx
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep still have a good view to watch, find the way you explain these celebrities icons etc etc absolutely fascinating how yourself explain your own thoughts about them! Thank you Alan for a great video good to see you back again. Diana was a talented lady who never gave up on her dreams ❤ she was a beautiful woman. Rest in peace 🙏
HI GV She had that ability that a few do to connect with the audience and had so much talented in drama and humor. I better her live appearances on stage were amazing 45mins before she even sang.... It was a privilege for me to do this video and thank you. I'm looking forward to your Oliver Reed tomorrow. you have a super interesting channel
Thanks Alan Fantastic video, Shame her life ended like it did, Great actress and singer, She stared in one of Adam Ants videos, I've got a 7 inch vinyl by her which is used on the northern soul nights..
Hi. Dawn yeah basically she turned the hand to all the entertainments singing storytelling acting comedy. She could do the whole lot. I'm glad you enjoyed to little film
Another good one Alan enjoy watching these you do them well, didn't no much about her early career, what a shame she didn't make it good in America. really talented woman and what a beauty. the one thing that springs to mind is when she was in Steptoe and son when Harold went up to buy some suits only trouble was the dead guy was still wearing them , she played the wife, cracked me up. Brilliant actress's !!
Hello James, I absolutely love that same myself. I forgotten the bit about the dead person wearing the suit but she was coming on to steptoe. What are combination? That was a brilliant comedy and to include there in the film was fantastic. He was perfect in that role. I don't think there's a comedy that can match it even today. Harold Neely got his oats I have to watch it again soon. Cheers!
Touching, Alan. She was one of those great characters of British life. I read her book, she had a rough time bless her. I was hooked up with Jason on facebook, tried to help him with the drinking to no avail. Peace be to them all
Thank you Alan it was very beautiful and moving, tribute to one very beautiful actress and models so sadly missed, such very beautiful peaceful grave yard and lovely matching head Stones , it was heartbreaking of what her husband did too himself , but he obviously must of got to the stage where he couldn't live without his soulmate and true everlasting love forever ❤️ I know how that's really feels as well Thank you my dear friend alway Alan your Yorkshire friend Rodney, 🙂 🙏🙏
Hello Rodney, yes, it's a very sad story and you hear the Alan and Diana did have quite a fiery relationship, but that doesn't mean they didn't care. Obviously he must have to do what I did. I can't think of her worse way to go.... It's always great to read your comments. Thank you, Alan
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Thank you Alan for getting back to me ,I didn't know that Roger Moores ,step daughter flossy was buried in the very same cemetery as Sir John mills , Saint Mary the virgin in Denham Buckinghamshire , and her grave as got Rogers Moore name on her head stone because of the love for her life , and step father, just abit of info if you don't know my dear best friend Alan , cheers your dear best friend always Rod 🙏😉💕
A lovely Vlog Alan and a fascinating insight into that beautiful lady's life. She was obviously a very strong lady as she seemed to have much sadness in her life but always appeared to make the most of things and carry on bravely. You've done her proud on this one Alan and I found it very enjoyable. Thank you.
What a brilliant story she definitely had a full life . I watched her in many things and she was a good actress. Lovley peaceful cemetery and beautiful well kept grave. Thanks Alan for sharing very well put together and very informative take care love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire 💙
Hi Gill I think people of our era remember remember extremely well. She was in so many things. I'm glad you enjoy the local video showing her final resting place. It was quite a nice location? She lives just down the road.... Hope you doing your weeding!
Hi Alan. My partner & I visited this grave & house not long ago. I was willing you to turn right at the path & go towards the bench, just before the end. Lol. I don't know if you were there before us or just after, I was looking out for our trademark artificial Red Rose on each of the graves, but it's hard to tell. We may bump into each other one day. We looked at a photo of the graves before we got there & looked around at the entrance, we see the graves straight away. Small car park on the left as you walk up the curved small driveway. The name within the wall was on your right. It's the smallest cemetery we've ever been to. Think it's the only one where we didn't see anyone else walking about. I wonder who see his body 1st. That would have been an unforgettable/horrid sight. Rightly, you state she had a few dodgy men in her life, but she was no innocent angel herself. I've liked her for longer than I can remember.
Hi Alan. Thank you for another wonderful video, sensitively and respectfully delivered. The amount of research you carry out is phenomenal. As always, a joy to watch. Take care Alan. All the best 💐 xx
Hello Kay, that is very kind. I do try to watch a documentary and read some articles so I can get the key information and often I do know the people anyway so it helps but it's super nice here that you enjoyed it. Take care, Alan
Hi Alan thank you for doing this I loved Diana . As you so rightly said she was a British Icon. And sex symbol I also thought she was beautiful when she was younger. I never knew queenie’s castle was filmed in Leeds thankyou alan
I love Sharon. I think it's because I come from Bradford and then it was filmed in Leeds. There was a round set of flats near the centre and it was quite a big thing for the local area at the time. It was a very funny comedy from memory and she was such a powerhouse as the mother. Thanks for the comment 😊
It's unfortunate that the media are always trying to promote somebody as being somebody else, because they simply aren't, and can't be. Diana was no Marilyn, but she was something else entirely. Marilyn was a talented actress and maybe she could have done something like Queenie's Castle, which I remember fondly, but I doubt it. Diana was a towering talent, with real acting ability. RIP, beautiful lady.
Beautiful graves…I wonder whose caring for them so well? I also wonder where their son together ,Jason is buried? Really hoped he would have been with his parents. How tragic for them all, and I can understandable how bereft Alan was when he lost his beloved Diana, but to shoot himself in his sons bedroom? no! The only sanctuary that poor boy knew, and whether he found his father or not, it would have been completely ruined for him, so much so, I doubt he could ever go back there, that was very selfish Alan! My one pray is that all three of you have been reunited in heaven together, and found the happiness that so eluded you at last RIP , RIP and Godbless you all. Thankyou Diana for being yourself, and doing so well In More serious acting roles, you were brilliant Girl!! Loved and very much missed always. 💕💐🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💐💐💐💐
Hello Helen, I know what you mean. It crossed my mind. Where did Jason get buried? It was the terribly sad story about Alan. It seems like it's so unfair to all these terrible things happening. Thank you for the lovely comment. Very interesting.
First saw her on the Beatles " Sgt.Pepper"cover.For years Americans thought it was Jayne Mansfield.Recently the Movies Channel aired the Vincent Price film "Theatre of Blood"Ms.Dors had a bit part in that being killed by Jack Hawkins. Her ex husband rests at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles.Dawson is buried nearby his "Hogans Heroes" co star Bob Crane.Sadly Cranes 1978 murder remains unsolved.
In 1956 she had an affair with none other than the Legend himself Elvis Presley. I loved Diana I remember her being on breakfast television as a regular up to when she got too sick to work ❤️🩹
A lovely tribute Alan. Obviously, we all know who Diana Dors is, but weirdly, I don't ever remember seeing any of her shows. So sad that her husband and son both took their own lives, I hope all 3 are happy again on the other side. You said she had another 2 boys with another husband, do you know whatever happened to them?
Could you locate Ed " stewpot" Stewarts grave? He was hilarious, every single Saturday night he had me in fits on the wheel tapper and shunters club, also a regular on lingalongamax with his best friend max bygraves Lord Charles also an act ahead of his time.
Totally agree about the unfair comparison to others. She certainly was her own person, incredibly talented, funny and beautiful. Gone far too soon❤. Thank you, Alan👍. I wonder where their son is buried. Perhaps he was cremated❤
I think she had a very sad life but it’s lovely that people that are still putting flowers on her grave.xx It’s sad that her husband shot himself shortly afterwards.
She was very funny. Loved her on joker's wild and celebrity squares. Alan's passing broke my heart.

I had lunch with diana where she lived in Sunningdale.Ascot. 😥very down to earth..
Hello Marlin very interesting
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep and you Alan 🤗 xx
Hi Alan thank you for doing this I loved Diana . As you so rightly said she was a British Icon. And sex symbol I also thought she was beautiful when she was younger. I never knew queenie’s castle was filmed in Leeds thankyou alan
I love Sharon. I think it's because I come from Bradford and then it was filmed in Leeds. There was a round set of flats near the centre and it was quite a big thing for the local area at the time. It was a very funny comedy from memory and she was such a powerhouse as the mother. Thanks for the comment 😊
A well respected Lady know at peace 😢
I was named after diana ❤
Really? Isn't that super Diane your mother are father. Must have been fans....
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep yes my mum loved her I was born 1959 I am proud to be named after a lovely lady
Diana Dors was one of the original Scream Queens.
Okay sounds fun! I think you mean the horror films 😜
In 1956 she had an affair with none other than the Legend himself Elvis Presley. I loved Diana I remember her being on breakfast television as a regular up to when she got too sick to work ❤️🩹
Nicely done Alan. Shame about the sad bits in her life , did the other 2 kids live on .
Hello odds, I'm not sure the only know about Jason. Unfortunately I will presume so
I have been out of the country for so long, I didn’t know she had passed away. So sad everyone from Rick Mayall to Diana Dors.
Hello Karin, no I didn't find out what happens but they were in America so I presume the carried their lives on with their father.
Taken too early. Very sad about her last husband and son. RIP Diana and Alan and her son xx
I hope her son is buried nearby.😢
Diana Dors was a friend of Ruth Ellis, the last woman hanged in the U.K.
Could you locate Ed " stewpot" Stewarts grave? He was hilarious, every single Saturday night he had me in fits on the wheel tapper and shunters club, also a regular on lingalongamax with his best friend max bygraves Lord Charles also an act ahead of his time.
what's the 'sigh'' sounds at 14:31 and 15:11 and 16:10 was it you ?
Thank you. I enjoyed this very much, but do you know what saddened me? Where is their son?
I know what you mean Judith, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'm going to look into it. Thank you for the thoughtful comment
Totally agree about the unfair comparison to others. She certainly was her own person, incredibly talented, funny and beautiful. Gone far too soon❤. Thank you, Alan👍. I wonder where their son is buried. Perhaps he was cremated❤
There's a few people Sheila that have asked the same question and I wanted to know also. I will look into it.
I think she had a very sad life but it’s lovely that people that are still putting flowers on her grave.xx It’s sad that her husband shot himself shortly afterwards.
Sad story that Alan could not live without her, so he shot himself💔. (That's true love.)
They were so connected obviously. Thank you, lil
I remember reading it in the paper and crying. It really got to me how lost he felt without her. I believe their son Jason has died too 😢.
@@annoldham3018 I know its so sad.💔
