That's amazing, it's great to see something that can be shared with the next generation! I am only 17, I wish I had have been around to experience Final Fantasy at it's peak.
I know I'm 9 years too late to comment but FFIX is one hell of an emotional ride from start to finish. Vivi is definitely my favorite character, his struggle for finding the truth then realizing he's nothing more than a puppet and coming into terms with it and a life so so short. I bawled my eyes out at the end when said farewell, then laugh when an army of Vivi casually walking the streets of Alexandria.
I will always remember this game. It is the first game that truly touched me. My dad played it almost through to the end, while I often watched, but then 9/11 happened, and he was one of the first called away. I decided to take up this game as a way to feel close to him. I loved the story and the characters, and while I was only around 12-13 and not at all good at JRPGs (this was my first one), I grinded and scraped my way to the end. I will always remember when I beat the last boss. He used his move that reduced the entire party to 1 hp, and, out of mana and decent items, I knew my only hope was to attack all out. I did, and still he stood. However, for some reason, he used that same move again, meaning my party was still alive. I attacked all out. He still lived. Yet, against all logic, he used the same move a third time. I finished him off. I was so excited. I watched the ending and wanted to immediately tell my dad all about it, but, of course, I could not, and even if I could, I did not want to spoil it for him (yeah, spoilers were a thing, even in 2002). I remember writing to him, explaining how I defeated the last boss and how amazing the ending was, and being so excited when he finally got home and could see it for himself. I hounded him for days to play so he could see and he finally did within a week of making it home (much easier than I, because he actually knew what he was doing). Basically, I fucking love this game, and this ending. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
FFIX will and always be the best FF , finished it in 2003, replayed it multiple times over the years up until today. Now im 27 years of age. watching this video still gives me the rare goosebumps u can never find anymore in the newest latest mmos/games/indies whatever games now. Thank you FF9!!
This is a perfect example of a timeless game that does not ever get old. And it is not because of detailed graphics. Game developers should realize that by now and focus on more important aspects when they make one.
Final Fantasy 9 & Chrono Cross were my first RPGs I ever beat. FF7 & FF10 definitely are my other favorites, but FF9 is just so classic, & was a great experience to play as a kid. Great Game.

The story is marvelous and the music is spot on...the art...but the gameplay not as much. Maybe I just need to turn it onto the hardest setting though.

I hate hearing and reading everyone saying that they should remake FF 7. FF9 was thousands of times better and deserves a complete remake with voice acting and a completely rebuilt world with next gen grade models and textures!
There’s is definitely more dialogue in ff9, but 7 was the better game overall. Ff9 while it isn’t a bad game, it feels too much like Harry Potter meets the hobbit.
tyler godfrey, agreed. tho if 9 has one glaring bad point, it's that it's too easy. only 2 monsters give you any real trouble, ozma and the little fuckers on vile isle. also, you need to be able to save your trance for when you need it, not have it just trigger when it's full, that's total bullshit. can't think of anything else wrong with the game, tbh, one of my all time favs.
tyler godfrey I love FFIX as it is. Sure, that would be awesome, what you said, and if they fixed what problems I had withe the game, it'd be even better, but I don't think FFIX needs it. That said, I hope the FFVII remake will be good because I liked the original. Not as much as 9, but still.
I always start bawling when the first of Vivi's kids appears. He could have been just like Kuja, but he chose to treasure the short time he had instead. And Kuja could have been like him :(
The one that got me the most was how all of them helped Zidane escape and they all were preventing Zidane to go alone. I forgot the name of that scene, this game gave me so much things from moral lessons to nostalgia :")
There are tonnes of references to the older FF games in this one! not just the Cloud Squall Hinder us one, but the Cornelia one from FF1, the story of Josef death in FF2 when you are talking to ramuh, all the pluto knights (there are 9 of them, each one is different, cant remember exactly), the fact that Zidane, Steiner, Vivi and Garnet are the first party and thats the default party in FF1 for Jobs, Freya is a dragoon, there is Kains Lance somewhere. The Chocobo is called bobby Corwen (Boco from FF5?), the Trance is from FF6 right, with the pink light, Victory theme is original FF1 style, pandeomium is from FF2, there is Garland from FF1, The boss at the end is Necron (similar to Xdeath in FF5) where they use Grand Cross, the Sword in Linblum in a shop references cloud from FF7. the Start of the battle theme is the same as the first 6 games music, its all about Crystals (FF1. 4 and 5) , theres a Hilgigas boss, Amarants No Mercy is from Seifer... there are tonnes of them. Also there are loads of references to the number 9. Its awesome!!
FF9 is a mixed from all series before it, that's why it's colorful. It has many FF reference symbolizes it as a huge world as one big game, a detail that rarely carried over by the successors after FF9.
This is my favorite Final Fantasy Game. FFIX is so nostalgic and epic that I will never forget it. The characters, places, songs it's all wonderful. I'll always love FF9.
Yeah this has to be my fav FF. The world is so charming, the characters are so endearing and memorable and the story, though all over the place like every other FF, is arguably at least 3rd behind 7 and 6. We actually had a protagonist with some positivity and humor and wasn't a sighing, stoic emo-punk bitch. The battle system is basic old school FF, but classic in its homage to the SNES era. Some of its nostalgia goggles, sure, but this is FF at its best.
+Felipe Laser This is my favorite too. I have to admit I played it first so I know I may have been tainted for my vision of what Final Fantasy should be. I do think the gameplay could have been better- and since 5 is very similar tone and is my favorite to play, I wish they had used a similar system and challenge level like they had in 5.
I think what 9 has over 5 is story and characters, but 5 is probably the most immersive combat system in the series (aside from the controversial gf/juntion system in 8)
***** Not a remake, because i love the story and gameplay, hell im even playing again now, once i find disc 3 that is :(, no don't want a remake, more like and update, update graphics remake to me make me think of a completely remake it, reboot might be a better word??? or remaster
They would ruin it if they remade it, this game is literally so perfect they wouldn't be able to top it if they did it again with new people making it, and for ps1 it looks amazing unlike 7 which looks pretty bad. The original is still great
Hadn’t played this game in years. Like 15 years or something crazy. Saw this video in my recommended. Somehow still remembered all the names to the characters, their role in he game, and the ending still brought tears. That’s how I know this has to be one of the greatest RPGs ever made
I cried again today...i needed it...ff9 helped me thru hard times to understand....and now it helped it once again...that we should all live life...make memories..fight judt like zidane and all of his friends :) love yall
FFIX devotees (I've played it through at least a dozen times, the slow way, fighting every optional boss and completing every side-quest), I've posted a Melodies of Life video I think you'd all enjoy - not much action, just focusing on Garnet and Zidane, but I'll make more. :)
***** Thanks for the suggestions; there are a couple there I haven't heard of or tried, but I have tried many challenges, such as the Excalibur challenge, and it just ruins the fun of the game for me. I simply prefer to take my time and enjoy every little facet of the game, always feeling such a rush when I discover a little something new almost every time for my efforts.
Seeing Dagger and Zidane happy together, Vivi's "kids", Steiner raisin the sword, the music, realizing what the monologue in between cut-scenes was basically Vivi's last words. Then the credits music...too many feels
this was the very first game that I beat and fell in love with over and over and over again. i couldn't remember how many times I've finished this, lol. after watching this video I feel like playing it again. i'm coming Zidane~!!!
@@Restricted_Dimension To an extent yes. The way they started to experiment with the combat system and ended up making it the most boring thing ever for XII and XIII really sucked, although XII is a great game it was pretty lacking at release and the Zodiac Age version improved it greatly, and XIII was a great game held back a shitshow of a combat system, whoever thought that having the player play the game by not playing it must be either an idiot or a sony executive. FFX was really good but the aesthetic gives me cancer to this day, it feels like they couldn't stick to a single inspiration and just shove them all together and felt super unfitting, but amazing game nonetheless. FFXV had awesome combat and great character interactions that felt compelling and believable but the world was empty and lifeless, and it was a technical mess. So yeah, it feels like for each good thing we have got 2 bad things in all FFs after IX. Even the remake of VII ended up being pretty repetitive and a hallway, but the increase in character development and the hours of extra content with Aerith were awesome. Let's hope XVI delivers a better experience than what we have got lately-
Haha yeah FF12 is really something. No need to even press anything with correct gambits. I like it a lot though. Especially Balthier, easily the best FF protagonist ever, well maybe after Auron. I even did his haircut back in 2006 ! FF13 is absolutely disgusting with exception of music and graphics. That was my 1st platinum trophy though, haha. Back in 2010. I tried to replay it recently on PC with 60fps fix but the story is just rubbish. Especially all those "We are heroes" lines from Snow. FF15 could have been AMAZING if there was a story. Yeah, a story, not that wedding/dudebros on car shit. But the story was in the movie Kingsglaive, prequel to the game. Basically They need to merge movie and a game, but in the end the story in the game was f*cked up and nonexistent and (almost) nobody watched that movie, along with Brotherhood anime.
@@Restricted_Dimension Oh man! I hate you for reminding me about the damn Snow... Never have I wanted a character to die so bad in a freaking game. I would've thrown a party for the neighborhood... But for real, Balthier and Fran are my favorite duo in FFXII, such amazing characters but such a dissapointing combat system. The gambit system was amazing, the feeling when it works as you wanted is simply pleasing, but the wait between actions and the way it works simply kills the fun too quick. FXIII makes me wonder how on god's green earth they decided to make THREE of those freaking crapboxes. There were some good characters, but the bad outweighs the good too much. And there were some legitimately bad soundtrack moments for me, I don't know why they tried to do some electro JPop crap at times and it just threw me off, but was really nice for the most part. And I agree a 100%, the plot in FFXV is not even in the game. It just feels like they took the main events of the story and threw them in the game but without buildup or explanation. The combat system was amazing though, when I mastered I did some shit that blew me away. I basically beat Aranea without touching the ground by chaining attacks and towards the end there was this super amazing quasi cutscene as they are fighting and falling towards the ground that blew me away.
Whilst FF7 was great and prob better, this FF9 had a sort of moral warmness to it. Innocents against evil. Even at the end, Zidane saves his mortal enemy and shows forgiveness.
hey I have played this so many times I can't even count but I never noticed that; good point he does not appear the the end seances, I guess I was to fixated on weather Kuja really made it or not to realize that Vivi didn't... wow!
well what from I gathered. Vivi died 1 year after the battle and before the ending scene. They had 3 Black Mages in the ending scene but they werent Vivi. Which is a very sad thought. He was my favorite character because of his story and the magic he can wield.
Creamer Of The Dairy Squad The whole original ending is intact here. The secret scene does not change or replace anything; if you don't have the hammer, and don't get the scene, it'll just go straight to the scene at 36:52 after Blank knocks out "Cornelia".
i always wished that they would've done voiceovers, but i skipped to the final sceene when garnett runs to meet zidane, and now i truly appreciate the audible silence because this entire story speaks directly to the Heart!
You just start reading and then you realize all those words are Vivi's last thoughts as he passes away, then you start crying. 😭😭😭 ...my memories will be part of the sky...
"I don't deserve to live after everything I've done. I'm useless to this world." "Nobody's useless." This... this right here is a microcosm of why I love this game.
I don't know how people can't see it... but I made this for those that are having trouble: i.imgur.com/b06FlqH.png?1 I guess the angel wings on his head are supposed to symbolize that he did indeed die and he's looking down from heaven?
FFIX will always be my favorite FF. Although, looking back on it, that ATB meter was awfully slow. And I wish there was a way you could save your trance, instead of the game forcing you to use it. Those are my only two gripes about the game.
so, I have been homeless off and on since I was 14, I am twenty six now. I would bounce around different friends houses and partying and getting fucked up, but also going through alot of pain and hardship. all of my friends houses had a final fantasy game of some sort, I would play them whenever I was there, and i felt, like my lifes struggles grew and were mirrored by the stories of the games. the soundtracks would be like my soundtracks and i would grow as a person with the characters. Basically, final fantasy has shaped my life and been with me, inspired me and consoled me in ways people havn't. I fell like a part of my soul lives in squall and cloud and zidane. these games mean so much to me and even though squaresoft has taken a different direction lately, i am so grateful for these masterpieces.
this game doesnt deserve to be remade or fix, its perfect. its a hidden gem that only find once, or a story you read to your kids. something to pass on to the next generation.
roxas3soraxxx Good luck with that If this got remade before VII there would be literal riots lol. Just finished this on my vita though. Probably my favorite in the series. Had never beaten it until about a week ago. Had gotten to Necron as a kid 15 years ago but never could beat him. Felt amazing to finally beat it on my own save.
The last game squaresoft has been made and i think this is the sweetest project goodbye from squaresoft . thank you my childhood will never forget this :)
finally I can see the ending after 8 years of playing it. My 4th disk always gets error when I change from disk 3 so I never know what happened. Thank's man. now I can sleep in peace.
Dude, like you beat them and the protagonist that come after you. You are seriously underrated because your story isnt fully dark enough or that your not emo like the others during the PS1 Days.
Great comment. This was one of the (many) reasons why I loved this game. People don't seem to get where Necron comes from, but he really ties everything together (IMO) and provides an antithesis to the Crystal.
ok this is honestly my first time seeing this ending and all i have to say about it is HUHWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!? didnt see that coming by a longshot >.>
I love this game to bits, but after going on a 4-disc journey of self-discovery, and coming to grips with our impending mortality, I feel like fighting and winning against the personification of death goes against the message of the game. The music is fantastic, though.
FF9 is literally chock full of easter eggs and references to previous games, it was always fun when i would suddenly understand a reference after not noticing it the first time.
The ending of this game hits so hard!!!! Sheesh, I shed tears like crazy!!! The emotions of Dagger running and throwing her crown and shedding tears while throws her on Zidane’s arms punching his chest cause the pain she was through all the time thinking he was dead was a masterpiece creation with the tech those days!!! I got destroyed by that scene!!! Also, when I read “Im Vivi’s son on the scene before, and then a lot of the sons appeared on screen I cried a lot with joy!!! I got crying a lot watching Steiner and Beatrix got together!!! Ohh man!!! Love is the most amazing gift in our hearts and life!!! Hope we can love friends, family, and people around with the purest hearts as God loves us!!! I’ve never played the game when arrived and is now in year 2023 that I gave it a chance and it worth every second!!! I loved how Zidane always came back for friends, even when they acted wrong and how they went for him when he was wrong too!!! He didn’t let Kuja alone, cause he was the only one who knew his friends were safe cause Kuja at the end made the three hold back for a necessary time for them to escape!!! A very emotional written on the story game!!!! Props to all the people who worked on the game!!!👏🏾
I always assumed that either he was created by the crystals or that the crystals kept him bound, since he has the spinny ring around him like the crystal did. It's also kind of a throwback to earlier FF's when the final boss wasn't even introduced until the very end. Either way, he was a terrible boss.
maybe he's a omnipotent demon to the ff9 realm because think necron necro = dead maybe he was like that one guy from a previous ff that killed the head honcho of hell
The original final boss concept was supposed to be Hades. The dialogue would've made sense too since it was never altered. But due to the trend of FF bosses being over the top upper torsos (Sephiroth, Ultimecia, even Jecht) Necron was thot up. Plus im sure the idea of god showing up outta no where to smite you would've upset some people.
I want to fucking die Sorry, I know it's a very old comment, but I just wanted to answer this because Necron it's perhaps one of the clearest things in the confused and fascinating backstory of the game. Necron is the incarnation of death and, even though we don't know why he appears after the crystal (maybe it's the symbolic thing of death (necron) being after life (the crystal)), he's the true villain because death is the main theme of FFIX, aboveall during Brahne and Kuja's campaigns, lots of people died and at the end even Vivi. Death is what devastates the world thanks to fear and antagonists' actions. If you think about it, all the villains face that eventually (Garland, Kuja and Brahne). Our heroes, after Kuja tries to destoy life (the crystal), enter the dimension Of death where they must win in order to prevent death from conquering the world and restore life itself. It's a real metaphorical ending and I like it because it makes a lot of sense. Why the Iifa Tree doesn't want Zidane to save Kuja is still unclear though, like many others details and plot events. This game has some of the most huge and complex backstory, cut content and lore I've seen for a game of that time, a part from the wonderful themes it gives that are taken for granted. They could have given some explanation of the main plot points, at least...
iam 28 year old guy, but it still crie me in the ending. so much impressive things this game gave to me and still it does again. I love this Game so much.
34:40 Interesting how, earlier in the game, Kuja refers to Garnet as a lost canary, but in the play, it's *Marcus* who delivers that line.... (Also, nice dig at previous FF protagonists at 34:55 "No cloud, no squall shall hinder us!")
I just beat this game today, like Raven stated- didn't get to beat it as a kid. Large regret since I beat the others. Wonderful game, and if I may add- none should get a remake. Maybe a cosmetic pick-me-up, but they're Final Fantasy for a reason. Now if only Square would get their asses in gear and go back into the action. I would love to see some real RPG original IPs.
YES!! i completely agree no ff should be remade they where perfect the way they where! square has to get their shit straight and make awsome games like prior to 2002
GamingTheWonder Im the same! Literally just beat it today, had my first save on it 15 years ago but never got to disc 4. Was such a great ending and really sad. Putting it as number 2 behind FFX...
Yeah I got 6 on my PS3 when they released it on PSN, its a good game, but I find it harder to get into to be honest, I think it's hard to get into such an old game when you've missed it the first time around
loved the music in this game and how you fought in a team of 4 instead of the usual 3. classic and had a bit of humour in it too. think i might download it for my ps3 tonight now...
you know.... the real winner in love here was Steiner
98kazer yeah!! steiner wins here.. hahaha
Dammit rusty
Steiner??? Why?
@@eirikmagnuslarssen4242 He gets the badass Beatrix.
@@Ratchet2431 Dagger is the real catch to be quite honest.
I finished this game on November 2000! TODAY my SON finishes this beautiful game 15 years later!
I´m very proud of him :')

every time I beat this game I feel a sense of sadness and longing
it's really one of the most well crafted FF games in existence
World building especially
FF7 is my favorite game with all the sidequests in it and optional bosses, FF9 is my favorite story of any game.

Powerfull words and memories my friend! Keep ffix close to your heart and memories....you got my respect✌
Such a sweet story. I’m around your age and have similar memories of playing it then too. Thanks for sharing.

It's been a while since I played this, and it is my favourite game of all time, and now seeing this - it only solidifies that

O god, just figured out the narrator for most of the video is Vivi's last thoughts as he's dying. Sooo sad.
Omg
Yeah, all of the narration is given by Vivi. This game was had one of the best stories in the FF series.
timlamiam OMG no ways , damn that's so freaking sad
timlamiam Actually, the end narration is Mikoto, one of the few Genomes that possessed a soul.
There's no- ...Vivis sons.. ...holy Shit. Wait what about Mikoto? Sure she joined the crew late game but she could have thought this.
"No cloud, no squall shall hinder us." :D

***** See? That wasn't so hard. :)
FF VI and FF IX are still the greatest FF ever
Also agree, the first FF I ever finished was IX and this ending was truly epic.
what about FFIV
Harry Potter
i like IV but VI and IX are the greatest ever!
You're speaking the language of the gods
I think what 9 has over 5 is story and characters, but 5 is probably the most immersive combat system in the series (aside from the controversial gf/juntion system in 8)
cloud wasnt emo
Kuja's theme is so fucking AWESOME!
And Kuja's master, Garland; his theme is fucking AWESOME as well
A remake of this would be amazing!
***** Absolutely with you, square enix wants to do a remake of FF7 and its just for the sales, a remake of FFIX and VIII would be just better.
***** Not a remake, because i love the story and gameplay, hell im even playing again now, once i find disc 3 that is :(, no don't want a remake, more like and update, update graphics
remake to me make me think of a completely remake it, reboot might be a better word??? or remaster
I'm playing FFIX right now, and it feels so good.
+Dzzy123 I'd prefer this game remade over ff7.
They would ruin it if they remade it, this game is literally so perfect they wouldn't be able to top it if they did it again with new people making it, and for ps1 it looks amazing unlike 7 which looks pretty bad. The original is still great
My favourite line, "No cloud, no squall shall hinder us!" The references
I never noticed that ever. :))
Still getting manly tears after 15 years. Such an incredible masterpiece.
20 years later, and that ending still makes me bawl my eyes out!
Thanks for bringing back my childhood memories !
Hadn’t played this game in years. Like 15 years or something crazy. Saw this video in my recommended. Somehow still remembered all the names to the characters, their role in he game, and the ending still brought tears. That’s how I know this has to be one of the greatest RPGs ever made
As simple as this ending seems, it was a total tearjerker
I cried again today...i needed it...ff9 helped me thru hard times to understand....and now it helped it once again...that we should all live life...make memories..fight judt like zidane and all of his friends :) love yall
If there are no cloud and no squall shall hinder you, can you pass over the lightning?
Sure, but the snow might cause a few problems....
Kartissa but if you keep hope you can get through it
Hahahahaha :D
so cloud we know what that mean
squall is wind i think
then lightning
Haha. Damn, 6 years and I only found your comment now. Brilliant!
I simply prefer to take my time and enjoy every little facet of the game, always feeling such a rush when I discover a little something new almost every time for my efforts.
played this game over 15 years ago and still love it.. will still love it for another 15 years 😍😍
Oh fuck, i cried again...
38:07 oh crap how is he still alive (everyone else not knowing the rest of the ending as you can see now).
Seeing Dagger and Zidane happy together, Vivi's "kids", Steiner raisin the sword, the music, realizing what the monologue in between cut-scenes was basically Vivi's last words. Then the credits music...too many feels
when I was a kid I did something very immature.
I named Vivi "idiot" to make Puck say "Yeeeeow! Look at all the idiots!"
In subsequent playthroughs of FFVII I always named RedXIII Nanaki.
"Who's Nanaki?"
"I think Nanaki is Nanaki"
That's also a long time to wait for the payoff...
Worth it
DForSpiD I did that too.
DForSpiD I used to name my characters nigga or asshole. Always made for clever dialog
Patrick Devante Coston I always named Amarant "Asshole" because he was...but then he used his whole nickname "The Flaming Asshole". Priceless
this was the very first game that I beat and fell in love with over and over and over again. i couldn't remember how many times I've finished this, lol.
after watching this video I feel like playing it again. i'm coming Zidane~!!!
I was crying so darn badly when the game ended. I enjoy this game so much.
To this day, this game is still the greatest piece of fiction ever written by a human minds in the modern times.
And that was the end of Platinum era of Final Fantasy.
FFIX is the best when it comes to story. I like your summary.
"Virtue: You don't need a reason to help someone."
Thanks for showing up in my recommendations. RIP Vivi.
The ending is so so sad for me, cause I realized that Vivi was dead :(
Yeah unfortunately he is. Those Black Mages are like his cousins or something. They say his kids but I doubt that.
hey I have played this so many times I can't even count but I never noticed that; good point he does not appear the the end seances, I guess I was to fixated on weather Kuja really made it or not to realize that Vivi didn't... wow!
well what from I gathered. Vivi died 1 year after the battle and before the ending scene. They had 3 Black Mages in the ending scene but they werent Vivi. Which is a very sad thought. He was my favorite character because of his story and the magic he can wield.
are you realizing that at the end, every character dies ? not only vivi ?
Not every character does. I know Vivi and Zack Fair dies in their respective games
2023 and i finished it for the fourth time.. I was amazed at my 13 age play it.. Now i still amaze and feel sad too😢
Secret scene is at 35:43
Thank you for sharing. I'm kind of surprised that's the secret ending though. Was expecting a little more.
Zhnigo wait, thats a secret ending?? whats the original, ive only ever seen this ending every time i have played through this game
Creamer Of The Dairy Squad The whole original ending is intact here. The secret scene does not change or replace anything; if you don't have the hammer, and don't get the scene, it'll just go straight to the scene at 36:52 after Blank knocks out "Cornelia".
i always wished that they would've done voiceovers, but i skipped to the final sceene when garnett runs to meet zidane, and now i truly appreciate the audible silence because this entire story speaks directly to the Heart!
oh my the feels in this ending...
You just start reading and then you realize all those words are Vivi's last thoughts as he passes away, then you start crying. 😭😭😭 ...my memories will be part of the sky...
Such a beautiful ending, I was so happy. Perfect ending to an incredible game
"I don't deserve to live after everything I've done. I'm useless to this world."
"Nobody's useless."
This... this right here is a microcosm of why I love this game.
at 34:54 Marcus says "No cloud, no squall shall hinder us!" haha a homage to to FF7 and FF8 :)
Step 1: Pause video at 40:13
Step 2: See Vivi's image on the castle wall in the background
Step 3: Smile
???
Can't find him =(
I don't know how people can't see it... but I made this for those that are having trouble: i.imgur.com/b06FlqH.png?1
I guess the angel wings on his head are supposed to symbolize that he did indeed die and he's looking down from heaven?
There was also this! imgur.com/JakKJLu Iluminati confirmed
Robert Haff
so, where is he ?
No Cloud, no Squall shall hinder us. -Marcus
epic :)
I love how before I finished FF9 the thumbnail made me think the final boss would be something completely different and I think that’s a good thing
FFIX will always be my favorite FF. Although, looking back on it, that ATB meter was awfully slow. And I wish there was a way you could save your trance, instead of the game forcing you to use it. Those are my only two gripes about the game.
other issues i have with this game that buffs stay way too short time and grand cross is just bs
so, I have been homeless off and on since I was 14, I am twenty six now.
"Bring my beloved Dagger back to me!" Man was that the corniest joke ever!
this game doesnt deserve to be remade or fix, its perfect. its a hidden gem that only find once, or a story you read to your kids. something to pass on to the next generation.
this needs a remake OMG!!!
roxas3soraxxx Good luck with that If this got remade before VII there would be literal riots lol. Just finished this on my vita though. Probably my favorite in the series. Had never beaten it until about a week ago. Had gotten to Necron as a kid 15 years ago but never could beat him. Felt amazing to finally beat it on my own save.
i hear that.
1,5,6,8,9,x-2,13,13-2
those are my favorites
I've played 13-3 but it was a demo on xbox360
littleraven89 Ugh, Necron. The Rick Roll of bosses.
no ozmone is
+roxas3soraxxx nah it needs to just have a remastered deluxe addition with more challenge added into the gameplay. The cut scenes can stay as is.
That ending always breaks my heart but makes me smile! Thank you!
Thumbs up for an FF9 Remake on ps3/4!!! :D
Thumbs up! For a PS3/PS4 Remake of Final Fantasy IX and a Remake of Final Fantasy VII and a Final Fantasy X-3!
Matt Thornton X-3.. Why?? ^^
The last game squaresoft has been made and i think this is the sweetest project goodbye from squaresoft . thank you my childhood will never forget this :)
auto regen so op...
finally I can see the ending after 8 years of playing it.
My 4th disk always gets error when I change from disk 3 so I never know what happened.
Thank's man.
now I can sleep in peace.
What is this salty liquid leaking from my eye holes?
Dude, like you beat them and the protagonist that come after you. You are seriously underrated because your story isnt fully dark enough or that your not emo like the others during the PS1 Days.
im not crying over this ending..... again..... its that my eyes are sensitive to ligth >_>....
... _>...
This is the one that should be made into a movie... they told the story so well.
Maybe it's because my TV was so shitty back then but I never noticed she was crying at the end
Great comment. This was one of the (many) reasons why I loved this game. People don't seem to get where Necron comes from, but he really ties everything together (IMO) and provides an antithesis to the Crystal.
ok this is honestly my first time seeing this ending and all i have to say about it is HUHWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!? didnt see that coming by a longshot >.>
having played every final fantasy, this one is by far what comes in my mind whenever i talk about the series
I think Kuja might be the only final bad guys who got a redemption at the end.
And i know it's implie but he might not be dead.
Siegahertz Carmin there’s a few in final fantasy gabranth, jecht etc
Feel great to see someone uploaded this game in 2012...
Once upon a time.......
This series used to be awesome..
it still is
Corey Bloxham Not 13
Yes the black sheep of final fantasy I've expected you would say that
Corey Bloxham We all know.
my second fave Final fantasy second only to 6. i love how you keep switching character perspective in the earlier part of the game.
34:55 "no Cloud, no Squall shall hinder us!"
wait, what about Zidane?
34:55
WAIT. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!
Dissidia NT takes places after most endings in the main FF Series.
Zidane knew who Cloud & Squall Is because of that.
2019 and ninjas still cutting onions...
That reference to squall and cloud got me like..WOOOOT! this game is a classic, way better than crappy FFX
I just didnt like FFX, I played it and felt so bad about that game that didnt finish it
what's bad about FFX the temples? i hate the temples though
Harry Potter
pls dont get me started
"No Cloud, no Squall, shall hinder us" huh? I'd like to see that!
I love this game to bits, but after going on a 4-disc journey of self-discovery, and coming to grips with our impending mortality, I feel like fighting and winning against the personification of death goes against the message of the game.
The music is fantastic, though.
The games central theme is life, so the final boss being 'death' personified seems apt to me.
Yeah he personifies death but it's not about beating death it's about overcoming death and realising that we live on in the memories of others.
Imagine a remake.. The art style is still amazing to this day. Imagine HD. Damn Squeenix!!! I miss Squaresoft D:
Visual effects in this FF is superb and amazing given with a PS1 technology. I like their visual effects compared to FFX imho.
+Paolo Ibayan Yes, they are pre-rendered backgrounds, which I also love to this day. Resident Evil 2 also used this to great effect.
Awesome artwork... expecially Necron's Grand Cross and Nuetron Ring along with killer music.....
Watching this brought tears to my eyes, such happy times
T^T..... I love this game!!..... IS MY FAVORITE!!.... BUAAAAAA!!! (cry like brahne)
Years later and i STILL find this game's storyline and music amazing.
Good memories, but have nothing secret there.
31:24 I think this is the secret part
FF9 is literally chock full of easter eggs and references to previous games, it was always fun when i would suddenly understand a reference after not noticing it the first time.
I love Necron ripping off Yoda. I also love the Cloud and Squall jokes.
7:38 "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate.. to suffering" I remember a little green guy who spoke the same line with this.
no cloud, no squall, shall hinder us!
Props to all the people who worked on the game!!!👏🏾
aside from zidane and garnet being reunited, steiner and beatrix also became a couple!
So does Amarant and Lani...... Technically.
u know what guys.. i feel like crying. so much memories.. so much nostalgia..
i miss this game soon much
Hi i'm Necron and i'm gonna come out of fucking nowhere
I always assumed that either he was created by the crystals or that the crystals kept him bound, since he has the spinny ring around him like the crystal did. It's also kind of a throwback to earlier FF's when the final boss wasn't even introduced until the very end. Either way, he was a terrible boss.
And I'm gonna kill everyone because why the hell not xD
maybe he's a omnipotent demon to the ff9 realm because think necron necro = dead maybe he was like that one guy from a previous ff that killed the head honcho of hell
HUH...? this is a secret ending...? sure...? all the times I've played this game, I always get this ending, I never thought that was the secret ending
Jops00 that must mean you've never played #6.... lol
Yeah I got 6 on my PS3 when they released it on PSN, its a good game, but I find it harder to get into to be honest, I think it's hard to get into such an old game when you've missed it the first time around
That's fair, that was my first final fantasy game so maybe I'm biased lol
loved the music in this game and how you fought in a team of 4 instead of the usual 3.
classic and had a bit of humour in it too. think i might download it for my ps3 tonight now...
best ending to a game EVER I'm only 12 I beat this yesterday on the PS Vita and it was great
I finish this game 4 times and i love this game
