Are you ready to return to Middle-earth? Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is coming to theaters and IMAX everywhere in 3D on December 14.
The Dwarves singing was the highlight of the film for me; it had such a powerful presence in the dreamlike atmosphere, with the fire crackle in the background and wisps of smoke rising around the characters. Peter Jackson brilliantly brought the weights of the sorrows, and hopes within them alive for us to feel. Brilliant craftsmanship. The new technologies really made everything come alive. I didn't suspend disbelief I was there in that room with them. I doubt I will ever see another film of its like. And that doesn't feel like a bad thing.
It was funny. I went to see The Hobbit with my mom and the very first comment she had was how Elijah Wood still looks so young a decade later. I replied, "Gollum falling into Mt. Doom was a ruse. He must still have the ring."
The lighthearted mood made this clip really fun to watch. Like the Ann Curry interview. It's always great to see Hugo, Cate and Elijah in these junkets.
Thank you so much for this! I loved all their comments and the obvious camaraderie between these actors. Above all I think each one of them had a blast filming this movie and in Richard's case at least, have the scars to prove it! ;) Good to hear that Cate, Hugo and Elijah found the dwarves song as moving as others do!
Hey, poppy. Fancy seeing you here. ;-) I'm sure, between the two of us, no Hobbit clip will be left unwatched by the time the DoS promo tour rolls in later this year.
Good to see Elrond shares my passion for Dwarfsong.

"Now why will Lord of the Rings fans love The Hobbit just as much?"
~Martin points to self~
Martin Freeman is so gosh darn good at picking up on Ian Holm's depiction of Bilbo as well! It's all fantastically done!
cate is beautiful!
I adore her.

There were three people there - she focused on Serkus almost to the exclusion of Freeman and Armitage. She needs lessons in interviewing techniques.
Hela sitting next to Red Skull
Currently binge watching these interviews because I just finished watching all 6 films.
Question: Why did everyone always follow Gandolf around?
Answer: He had the weed.
