Her real voice has more of a light, fairy ethereal vibe to it while Arwen is a more mature, mysterious ethereal feeling. So I’d say her real voice absolutely is ethereal but just not the right vibe for the character.
Her and Viggo nailed the dynamic between Arwen and Aragorn. And quite honestly, Tyler's facial range was so beautiful. Her smiling, her laughs, her sternness and elegance, her sorrow and grief, and her serious expressions when being pursued by the Nazgul/Ring Wraiths. So, not only did her voice carry well (and frankly I didn't even notice that she'd lowered her voice), but her facial expression range was amazing. We loved your work, Ms. Liv Tyler, and we will always cherish your role as Arwen!

@tanikokishimoto1604 she shouldn't have been in the movie as much as she was, Flashbacks would have been more than enough, taking away frodo's scene of courage and giving it to her. An art teacher friend was hired by Weta to make ears and feet for the movies, and after a very long flight, arrived early on Halloween morning. He was taken directly to the workshop, then to the cast & crew party after work. Roman was hungry and tired, so he found a chair close to the food and dozed. It was only when I watched the Welsh language version of Hinterland(Y gwyll), that I realised how much Tolkien had been inspired by Welsh when he made Elvish.
Well the Red Book that Bilbo / Frodo wrote in is based on 'Y Mabinogion' which is a collection of Welsh Folk Lore / Tales, which is based on another book, 'The Red Book of Hergest'. The majority of the entire legendarium is practically based off Welsh / Christian mythology, with bits borrowed from other cultures, like the Norse etc.
